A list of puns related to "Cartridge trap"
Has anyone found a cheap substitute to these: http://www.amazon.com/Flowtron-MA-1000-6-Mosquito-Attractant-Cartridges/dp/B000063XHT/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1395331361&sr=8-2&keywords=Octenol
I was thinking maybe the larger mosquito magnet cartridges can be cut into smaller pieces: http://www.amazon.com/Mosquito-Magnet-OCTENOL3-Octenol-Attractant/dp/B001BF24EI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395331361&sr=8-1&keywords=Octenol
I just think that a small patch with a few drops of a chemical should not cost $6-$8.
#An Introduction to Piracy
Most of us have torrented something at some point, whether itβs a game, movie, book, song or TV show, but just for those who havenβt, Iβll explain the basics.
When you go to a site like The Pirate Bay or Kick Ass Torrents, and click βDownload Torrentβ, all youβre really getting is a link. Programmes like Bittorrent or Vuze are able to open those links, and will let you download almost any file, legal or not. But youβre not downloading it from a server somewhere, a website, or a single person, youβre downloading it from dozens, sometimes thousands of people at the same time, all around the world. Those are known as βseedersβ. And while you do that, other people are downloading the file from you. Theyβre βleechersβ. The original distributor of the file created that torrent, and submitted it to torrenting websites so that other people could find it, but once theyβve shared the full file once, they can break off their connection to the torrent.
This is known as βPeer to Peerβ file sharing, and itβs the primary means of distributing media illegally, because itβs basically impossible to stop. If a website is hosting episodes of Game of Thrones, you can shut the website down. If a person is sending out files, you can sue them. But no company or corporation, however powerful, can stop a torrent (though many have tried).
Sharing a movie or a song is easy β you just distribute the file. It will work no matter who downloads it. But games are different. Since a game is made up of loads of files working in tandem and tangled up in a confusing spider-web of code, the developer is able to βbooby trapβ the game so that it doesnβt work when itβs copied.
For as long as developers have been doing this, savvy hackers and programmers have been working to undo it. When they do, the developers go back to the drawing board and come up with something smarter.
Cassettes were easily duplicated, so the industry invented consoles with more secure cartridges and built-in ROMs that could detect fakes. Pirates reverse-engineered the consoles to make their own duplicate consoles which could run both legitimate and fake copies. So the industry moved to CDs, because they had more storage space and could be fitted with new security features. Pirates cracked the CDs. Developers started requiring a game key, so pirates created key-genera

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

βItβs so damned cold!β my girlfriend murmurs, shivering, and I unwrap my scarf from my neck and chuck it onto her shoulders. βHey, no!β she replies, though sheβs smiling. βNow youβll just get cold!β
βI donβt get coldβ, I lie, as we walk together towards the factory.
The factory is long abandoned. A massive, half-collapsed monolith out here in the scrublands. The area around us is covered with snow, and our shadows are long and dark beneath the orange-white glow of the lone, still-operational streetlight.
It isnβt night-time, not quite yet, but the day is dark and gloomy. Thereβs no-one else around, and the snow ahead is unbroken with any footprints.
βDo you think the rumours are true?β I ask her, grabbing her shoulders and making her jump.
She makes a noise at me and pushes me away. βWell, duh. Of course theyβre true. They have to be. We wouldnβt be exploring a NON-haunted building now would we? That would be boringβ.
The entrance to the factory approaches. The glass is smashed in one of its outer doors, and the other is covered with wooden-board, now well-graffitied. Thereβs a crude marionette spray-painted in white, and an ominous, cryptic βDONβT GET STRUNGβ warning scrawled beneath it in black.
βDonβt get strungβ¦β I whisper creepily into Lauraβs ear, and she laughs and pushes me away for a second time.
Her laughter fades as we step up to the factoryβs door. The gates to the unknown.
βWellβ, I say, βare you ready to go in?β
βYeahβ, she replies, glancing behind her. βYeah, letβs do thisβ.
Letβs do this.
So in we go. I grab the handle and grunt with the strain, but am able to force it open about a foot, and we squeeze our way through the gap and into the shadows. The wintery breeze becomes a steady, ongoing backing rumble as we push steadily into the hallway and through further, broken doorways. There are portraits hung up here in the lobby, completely dusted over and faded, and only the faintest silhouettes are still visible.
We take some time to admire them. Or whatβs left of them, to try and decipher what they might once have depicted.
One of these faded silhouettes looks kind of like a man- or a person, at least- with their arms outstretched.
Another looks like a spool of string. I try to rub away some of the layers of grime and dust, but not much else is revealed.
βThis is so creepyβ, Laura murmurs. βWhat do you think they used to make here?β
βNo ideaβ, I reply as we step through the lobby and into the main room of the fac

βSoβ¦ youβre trying to cash in on this whole βanalogue horrorβ fad? Is that it?β the eccentrically dressed yet curmudgeonly old shopkeeper asked as he disinterestedly pawed through the jumbled collection of off-brand VHS tapes I had brought for him.
I couldnβt say that I blamed Mr. Orville Bucklesby one bit for his lack of enthusiasm. If you believed even half of the stories about him, he had fought Nazi occultists in World War II, travelled the multiverse with a supernatural circus, and regularly rubbed shoulders with the plethora of paranormal beings that allegedly haunted and visited Harrowick County. His oddity shop was stocked with a myriad of bizarre items, some of them of questionable authenticity to be sure, but all of them were more interesting than a few humble VHS cartridges.
βAnalogue horror? No, itβs nothing like that, sir. I was just thinking that there might be people out there who could get better use out of these than I could, and that you would know how to get in touch with those people,β I said with a nonchalant shrug. He eyed me suspiciously as he started reading over the labels on the tapes.
βWhatβs with the cryptic titles then?β he asked. βThis oneβs called βAnd We All Fall Downβ. Theyβre all like that. Youβve got βCrying Girl In The Woodsβ, βItβs Already Too Lateβ, βWhy Wonβt She Forgive Me?β, etcetera. This one here just says βPity Usβ. Whatβs supposed to be on these things?β
βWell, Mr, Bucklesby, Iβve been given to understand that youβre familiar with a type of device referred to as an βIn Glorious Retrovisionβ. Is that correct?β I asked hesitantly. Part of me was hoping that he would say no, that he would scoff at the very question and I could go home and shove the videotapes back in the basement and forget about them.
But he didnβt. Instead, his expression changed from annoyed to serious, and he eyed the tapes with a renewed sense of cautious interest.
βYou own a Retrovision then, do you son?β he asked, avoiding eye contact with me.
βNo, but my uncle did,β I replied. βHe tinkered around with it, and was able to hook up a VCR. Throughout the eighties and nineties, he recorded various signals he picked up on it, right up until his death. With practically his dying breath, he told me to unhook the VCR and hide it with the tape collection, and I did. Not even a day later the Retrovision was gone, but the tapes were left untouched. I donβt know who took it or how they knew about my Uncleβs death so quickly, but I can only assume

Do you have a Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance? Would you like to be the proud owner of one of the worst golf games ever created? I will send you my Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2000 cartridge for free.
This Game Boy cartridge is enhanced for the Game Boy Color, meaning you can try to figure out how to navigate the torturous in-game controls in up to 56 beautiful colors. If you enjoy golf games but also want to experience the sensation of involuntary guttural screams exploding from your body, I truly believe Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2000 is for you.
I got this game used, and from what I can tell, the previous owner exhibited superhuman restraint by probably only throwing it on the floor six or seven times. It is in pretty average to slightly below average shape, but it starts up and plays exactly the same as it did when it was brand new, which is to say like dog shit.
In 1999, the world thought golf game controls were pretty much figured out. But much like with the Y2K bug or the perceived investment value of the special edition Princess Diana Beanie Baby, they were stupid and wrong. The year 2000 brought us this game, which Tiger Woods himself once called βthe worst thing that has ever happened to meβ shortly after that car crash he was in.
This cartridge does not come with the box or instructions, but you can actually find the manual online if you want to confirm the inscrutable interface this game requires you to learn is not just a fever dream youβre trapped in. If you ordered your householdβs four free rapid tests today, you might actually get them in the mail at the same time as this game and be disappointed to learn youβre negative and wonβt be dying of covid soon.
Let me know if you want this.

... keep reading on reddit β‘The "Monster of Florence" is the name used by the Italian media to refer to the perpetrator(s) of seven double murders that took place near Florence between 1974 and 1985. In 1982 a double homicide of uncertain attribution dating back to 1968 was also connected to the Monster. In 2000 the investigation led to the conviction of two men identified as the perpetrators of four double murders. They were the nicknamed "snack companions": Mario Vanni and Giancarlo Lotti , while a third man, Pietro Pacciani (sentenced to several life sentences and subsequently acquitted on appeal), died before being subjected to a new appeal process in 1996. The investigations also focused on a possible motive of esoteric nature (which would have prompted one or more people to commission the crimes) without however highlighting any objective evidence in this investigative direction. The story had a lot of media coverage as it was the first case of serial killings in Italy recognized as such and one of the bloodiest in the country. It also had an impact on the habits of the population living in the province of Florence in the 1980s, who began to avoid secluding themselves in isolated places at night. The fact that the victims were young couples in secluded public places opened up the media debate on whether to allow kids the possibility of finding intimacy at home, thus avoiding isolated and dangerous places.
*** Sorry for any mistakes, English is not my native language. Hope that everything is understandable! This is going to be a long and confusing story.
The murders were perpetrated over 11 or 17 years, depending on the attribution of the first crime. The victims were couples killed with similar or identical modus operandi, while they were in secluded places around Florence. The killer usually struck on new moon nights, or in any case during very dark nights and on weekends or days before holidays. The killer usually assaulted the victims while they were inside thier cars. The ambushes took place in the summer, with the exception of the crime on October 22 1981. One or more sidearms were used in the murders, with the exception of the attacks in 1968 and 1983. From 1974 to 1985 the same firearm was always used. It was identified as a Beretta series 70 pistol (probably the 74 or 76 ten-shot model), 22 Long Rifle caliber: a model that had entered the market in Italy in 1959. It was loaded with Winchester ammunition marked with the letter H on t
