A list of puns related to "Captains of Crush Grippers"
I see IronMind and Rogue both sell these. I know Ironmind usually has memorial day sales, so I figured I would pick up the set with the discount then, but are they the exact same as the rogue ones? Are there better websites to get them from?
Also, I never did any sort of grip training, so I have no idea what to start at. The only "grip" stat I have (and I know its a poor one) is that I can deadlift 405 for a few reps with a double overhand, non hook grip, without chalk. With that being said, assuming I train with these using a legit workout and progress nicely. Will I be even close to using the 2.5s or 3s in a year or 2, or are those literally made for legit grip strongmen and it would be a total waste of money for me to purchase the whole set?
I am looking to buy some Captains of Crush (CoC) hand grippers, but shipping is pretty outrageous, i'd prefer to buy local. I don't think fitness depot, or fitness town have them .. not sure where else to look.
I'm struggling with deadlifts due to my weak grip strength and I'm thinking about buying a Captain of Crush gripper. I'm a beginner and I only deadlift 65kg/143 pounds in 5 reps (estimated 1 RM would be 73kg/153 pounds) and I can do a max of 4 chin ups in a single set. I weight 69kg/152pounds. What model/s do you recommend me?
Thanks in advance!
I have the #1 and #1.5 CoC grippers used for improving, well, grip strength for my jiu-jitsu training.
My question is this, how should I incorporate these into my training if I'm following a Back/Bicep, Chest/Triceps, Shoulder routine? (I have a torn MCL currently which is allowing me to do some upper-body focus for awhile) Could I use them everyday or just the back/bi days?
If not, anyone know any good forearm exercises?
Thanks in advance!
Title pretty much says it all. I've just started on using grippers to increase my open hand strength and try to max out my training.
I've also started using hangboards at the gym, but getting one of my own isn't an option right now. Also, I find that I can get a decent gripper workout in even shortly after a hangboard routine to failure, so I guess they're not mutually exclusive.
The reason for doing all of this is I've kind of been stuck at the v4ish level for several months now, and while my footwork and body positioning has definitely gotten better, holds on harder grades are still really hard to hold on to.
Anyways, who has experience with grip trainers, and how did it go?
P.S. I am aware of this post about a year ago, but I assume that r/climbing has gotten a lot bigger since then, so I think the topic is worth a revisit.
I find that the lower grippers I own, which I don't usually chalk up for, get this sort of dark grey residue on the places my palm and fingers connect. I assume this is a mixture of dead skin and oils from my hands, but I'm not sure if cleaning with water is a good idea (is a CoC completely rustfree?). How do you guys do it?
I'm looking for methods to improve my finger strength. has anyone had experience with using either of these ?
I am doing gripper for get more strength to hold on the bar. I see myself losing grip in some exercises ( skin the cat) But one thing I learned reading the book is the counter movements. If I do row, I will do push ups What is the counter movement for gripper? I tried powerball today I also thought elastics on the finger and open the hand
Any ideas, or suggestions?
Thanks
I know comic captain Americaβs likely has some pretty crazy feats, but from what Iβve seen of him in some newer comics and of course in the MCU, his upper limit seems bellow that of unarmored Spartan IIs.
Captain America may have a bit of movement speed on his side, but he doesnβt have reflexes anywhere close to βSpartan Timeβ and he can be physically overpowered by heroes that are at or slightly above peak human- while Spartans are leaps and bounds beyond peak human even out of armor.
Just a question I felt would be fun to ask
