Daniel Robinson was a geologist who was last seen driving away from a job site on June 23, 2021. He was reported missing later that day. On July 19th, Daniel's jeep was found rolled over on its side in a ravine. The airbags of the jeep were deployed, and apparently investigators could tell that the driver had been wearing a seatbelt when the jeep had crashed. Daniel's clothes, phone, wallet and keys were found close to or inside the vehicle.
In July, partial human remains were found close to the area where Daniel went missing. The remains would later be ruled out as belonging to Daniel.
An expert hired by the Robinson family claims that the car crash had been staged, and one part of his argument for that is that 11 miles were registered on the car after it had crashed. The expert claims that there was another person with Daniel in the car that day.
In October, police revealed information about a relationship between Daniel and a woman who isn't identified. Daniel apparently showed up unannounced at the woman's home several times, and she was uncomfortable with this. Daniel also reportedly texted the woman "I love you" shortly before he disappeared, and she did not respond to that message. Family and friends of Daniel's were interviewed to see if this possibly could have made Daniel suicidal, and all told investigators that Daniel was not suicidal.
In November, another set of human remains were found in the search area. They have been sent away for DNA testing, but based on indications such as race and decomposition, authorities don't believe the remains to be those of Daniel.
The Robinson family feel as if the treatment they have received from law enforcement has been unfair. They think police have not done everything in their power to find Daniel. Here is a link to the family's gofundme page.Gofundme.
Daniel is a 5'8 African American male with part of his left forearm, including his hand, missing.

I hope it's okay to post this here. His family are desperate for any information at all that might help. It might be far-fetched but a bunch of rockhounds might very well have insight/theories into why he may have been in that particular area (aside from it being near his jobsite) or may have even seen him in the days leading up to his disappearance. Maybe someone even just saw him with someone or something or may have video or photos that show him even briefly at other sites in the area. Daniel Robinson, 24, was last seen on June 23, 2021, driving his 2017 blue Jeep Renegade with Arizona license plate NLA2CMA as he left his job site in the desert area west of Sun Valley Parkway just north of Cactus Road in Buckeye, Arizona. Investigators said a ping was established on his cell phone but no location data was available due to the phone being off or out of range. It did not appear he'd made any calls or texts after leaving the site. Neither his car nor his phone has been found. The Buckeye Police Department in Arizona is investigating.
