A list of puns related to "Bob Einstein"
Do yourself a favor and watch right away. I think this is one Iβll probably be watching multiple times.
I miss Bob Einstein from Curb. He was a such a comedy legend. Throw me with some Funkhouser appreciation
Edit: I'd forgotten just how much I loved him. You guys have just reminded me of just how great he was.
This just popped up on YouTube Music yesterday. Brand new BNL song for The Super Bob Einstein Movie, called βLanded On My Headβ

Edit: The movie comes out December 28th on HBO Max
EDIT: Man, lighten up people. This is is an unserious comment about an unserious show. Itβs all in fun.
And I certainly didnβt mean any disrespect to the great Bob Einstein. I loved him as Super Dave when I was a kid and his portrayal of Marty was pure entertainment.
My friend put on The Super Bob Einstein Movie and of course my brain is instantly analyzing his voice. I went to Google but couldnβt find much so I wanted to pick your brains and put the hive mind to work! Any ideas on the pathology there?
The two pieces of information Iβve found so far are 1. This quote from 1991: βI've been trying to clear my throat for 35 years. Actually I go down on my knees trying to do that. If I ever cleared my throat, my career would be over.β And 2. He got polio when he was 6 in 1949.
With this info, it seems that his vocal problems started around when he was 14 years old in 1956. This would be around the time of puberty, and 7 years after contracting and recovering from polio. However, this vocal quality really does not seem to be apparent in any videos until he is much older. Obviously, he could have felt this need to clear his throat from 14 on, but the actual impacts of whatever was going on didnβt appear to affect his vocal quality until he was in maybe his 30s?
Today I learned about Post-Polio Syndrome which causes muscle weakness and shows up 15-40 or more years after initial recovery of polio. It can cause weakness in respiratory support muscles as well as muscles involved in speech and swallowing. I donβt know nearly enough about the presentation of PPS to know if it fits.
The other obvious answer to me would be vocal fold nodules or polyps. Feeling like you need to clear your throat and inability to get good vocal fold closure both match up with his self reporting and vocal quality. Could these things go unchecked for your entire adult life??
Anyways, this is just meant to be one of those fun posts where we can brainstorm. I didnβt even know of this comedian before today, so I donβt have much data to go off other than what Iβve seen in this movie. Share your thoughts!!! Happy New Year!!!
Iβm in the middle of episode 4 of the new season where they reference his half brother, and I was reminded that there will be no more Marty.
Such a bummer, but what a great legacy to leave.
