I’m not talking about tinnitus or heartbeats or anything like that. If I were to be in a silent room and put my arm up to my ear would I hear a flowing noise? Similarly, would you be able to hear someone’s blood flowing/ gurgling if there was a serious cut/ open wound? Would there be some noise of if every other noise was removed?
Today at level 91, with 91% XP, I died to Corrupting Blood (CB). I killed an entire pack of Bloodline magic monsters offscreen, and I was dead in about 1.2 seconds.
I like CB as a feature in the game, but I've been thinking about it for awhile now.
The problem I have is that I don't actually realize that I've been affected by CB until it's too late and I'm already dead.
Since the addition of the CB Bloodlines mod, I've noted a couple of deaths in this same matter. Killing a CB bloodlines pack quickly can result in a very sudden death, often in about 0.5-1.5 seconds. I don't usually have problems with rare CB mobs. These bloodline packs are very dangerous.
The CB orbs which surround your character are fairly dark and can be easily missed by peripheral vision when playing a ranged character, and your life can drain fast enough that you don't even realize it's happening.
Desync has historically been a huge issue with CB, where you can hit your flask at 50% of on-screen health and still die on the server. Fortunately since the addition of more server locations in 2.0, this has been much less of an issue for me. It still happens to me in group play, occasionally.
A simple solution would be for a sound notification to be added to CB, just like bleeding/puncture has. Maybe even raise the volume of the sound as your health goes lower.

Meanwhile EU and US players mince around with timeslots like 6pm, 8pm, 10pm. Literally ones that could not be more perfect.
Can we please make some noise on Spectrum and Reddit so CIG fix this? IDGAF what its changed to, literally ANYTHING is better. You couldnt make these times worse for us if you tried.

It was so raw, and so deeply intimate that I almost felt ashamed to witness it. Fiction? Yes... but still. And the way she slides from devastated to cold rage is just chilling.
What a great actress! I can't imagine that you could write that noise into a script.

I swapped Morphagene out for a QPAS the other day and I am really liking the change, morph was getting no use (I have two of them unused sitting around, ugh). Now I am considering what to use in my last couple HP (I think MNSS has 10HP of actual usable blanks space?), maybe a better out (not a fan of the TRS 1/4" out), STO, or a small dedicated mixer, curious to hear about what other folks have changed/added/reverted!
