One of first soldiers to charge the beach on D-Day June 6, 1944, was named Bill Millin. Who played the bagpipes to boost morale as Allied troops stormed beaches in Normandy, France. He later found out the Nazis did not shoot at him because they thought he was crazy. Legend.
