A list of puns related to "Big Trick Energy"
It was A LOT worse than I expected.
I thought it was ok. Kinda like a mix of Impractical Jokers and Jackass
Seriously I cant wait for the next episode, who else watched?
How do you all deal with your high energy dogs, especially when the weather is horrible or theyβre on heat so canβt free roam?
How do you tire them out or keep them calm?
Mine is a 9mo cockapoo and her energy levels are exceeding mine, especially when itβs cold, rainy and windy outside. I think sheβs also coming in season soon, so I donβt let her off the lead these days that much. I can see that she wants to run around all day, keeps bringing me all the toys while Iβm working and trying to drag me to the park when weβre out on a walk.
I want to start running with her after she turns 1, and hopefully spaying will bring more calm later too, but until then I have a good 3 months of peak teenage roaming and need advice on how to handle it.
The sun goes down around 4pm where I live during winter.
I get off at work around 5pm, and I noticed that I donβt have any energy to do any productive things after work because itβs too dark outside and the house is really cozy that I canβt leave. Iβve been putting off going to the gym because of this.
Do you guys do anything to keep your energy up?
Here are two tricks to stay conscious of the energy around you without taking it on as your own.β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β β

>βIt was different. This was different, a different game,β said George, who was held to 12 points on 6-for-20 shooting, including going 0 for 8 from 3-point range, noting afterward that his legs felt heavy. βHaving their three-man and their five-man switching and not giving up much in the interior β this is a different game.
>βWe couldnβt really get out and run as much,β George added. βThey were sending multiple guys at the rim, getting rebounds, so I thought that was kind of deflating to us. We couldnβt really get out and run, we was using a lot of energy trying to rebound. And then when we did rebound, we had to send everybody to the board, so really wasnβt no outlets or advantage going down, fastbreaks, so they just did a good job of that, that allowed them to load up on their defense.β

Edit: Passed BEC with an 86!! 3 down 1 to go⦠see you in August, REG.
I've developed a few of my own tricks to build the energy... But I'd love to hear what other techniques and tricks you guys have come up with for building energy within a song or what your other thoughts are around it.
What I'm talking about is building over the course of a song to reach that emotional crescendo and peak that comes late in a song. The part that just sounds HUGE and makes you want to scream the lyrics whenever it comes on the radio. I think part of my problem with recreating it is that I can't define it all that well. Its a "you'll know it when you hear it" thing.
This isn't a how to at all. I'd like to build the tools I have to create and control that energy and tension and enhance my versatility as a writer.
Anyway... Things I've tried...
- Add more layers and/or instruments to increase the "size" of the song, both in terms of frequency space and sonic depth. This feels a little like cheating to me. Like... If I don't have a synth player live, why should I have one on my records? I know a LOT of people do that... but it's not what I want in my music.
- Add notes to the individual parts being played - eg. more notes for the bass (quarter notes instead of half notes), more cymbal hits on the drums, maybe an extra kick or snare in the beat, or change from Hi-hat to ride. Add more notes to a guitar part, either more picks of the same note, adding additional notes to an arpeggio (maybe adding in a little strum)...
- Adding dynamics to each part - playing a little stronger and firmer as the song goes on... I think this happens naturally within a band, but in a more sterile recording environment it's a little harder to replicate.
Things I've thought about but not tried...
- Changing chords/adding color to chords? I'm talking about adding 7ths, 9ths, 13ths and things to create a more complex chord sound within changing the fundamental harmony (maybe I am changing the fundamental harmony?).
- Automation? Can you raise the level of certain parts throughout the song? Maybe change the mix to accentuate a more driving bassline as the song goes on?
- Increasing tempo? How hard is this to do within a DAW? Either way... a subtle lift in the tempo would increase the energy of a particular part. I think I do this a lot when I play solo.
- Production techniques? I don't even know what other mixing and effect techniques might have an impact.
What am I not considering? Do you consider some of these more important than others?
