A list of puns related to "Big Six energy suppliers"
Hi,
I am seeking any advise on my situation, title says it all.
I live in a studio flat above shops/business on high street in UK.
My electricity bills were always high and I been asking my landlord and his electrician if anything else is connected to it , I always got an answer of - ''we are unsure'', so I decided to install a smart meter.
Today I got confirmation from scottish power smart meter installer that landlord has connected all communal lights and now a business downstairs to my electricity meter. I rang my energy supplier as I thought this is meter tampering and it is illeagal, surely they will be able to help me, but got advised that it is my issue and I need to sort it with my landlord. She has also advised that I could hire an electrican to disconnect what I thinik shouldn't be on my meter but the smart meter installer said he doubts any electrican would agree to do this as Im not the owner of the builduing.
But how can I sort this if landlord is the bad guy in this situation and is using my lack of knowledge to his gain, what can and should I do ?
Nothing of this sort is outlined in the tennancy agreement
My goal is to only pay for the electricity that I use, what can I do ?
