A list of puns related to "BelgiumβNetherlands relations"
I am just curious to get a sense of what the situation was like on the ground.
Would be great to hear from both sides!
Iβm planning on visiting Brussels and Amsterdam this summer for 2 weeks.
Iβll be going to a music festival near Amsterdam for a couple days, but outside of that I donβt have an itinerary. The Van Gogh museum is on my list, assuming itβs not closed due to COVID. Iβll be staying in hostels (which Iβve done before and absolutely loved).
Iβd like to add in another city or two while Iβm there - maybe Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, or Rotterdam. I have very little idea about Brussels - a handful of people I met traveling in Europe said that the nightlife there is good and that I would enjoy it.
Iβve never been to Belgium nor the Netherlands and would love to hear some experiences. Iβm a big walker and enjoy food (duh), nightlife, and nature alike. Not a huge church/cathedral person.
Anyone have any advice or must-sees for traveling over there? Thanks!
I am unsure which one to pick. I did some research and initially thought Belgium since the houses are cheaper. Now taking public transit is important to me because while I can drive, I would rather not. I am unsure which one I should go for. This I need to decide so I know which language(s) to work on.
I am at a US in state university and I will be graduating in 1.5 years with a computer information systems degree. Ideally I want to visit both countries but I wonβt be able to until after graduation. I do want to know so that I know where to do grad school at.
I also want to ask how certain things are in those countries, like how are doing hobbies in those countries (I like fishing, gardening in containers and keeping pet fish for example).
EDIT: I do want to eventually get permeant residency if thatβs a thing. Citizenship is great but Iβm not sure if I should go for it.
Asked this same question in r/netherlands and was curious what you guys will respond
Iβm Belgian and would like to move to study and work parttime but it seems like its very expensive to live there. Especially when working parttime.
I know I could get a student loan but I heard itβs not a lot. Iβm looking for advice. Is this a smart thing to do? Is there a way to live without a roommate and not be super poor? Iβve looked some stuff up online but I would like to hear advice from real people, maybe someone who did the same.
Edit: experiences about different cities is also welcome. I like the vibe of Amsterdam but I dont want to sell a bunch of organs to afford a months worth of rent
This would be my first exchange on this subreddit but I've done Reddit secret Santa and snack exchanges with online friends from several places already!
Based on my exchange locations it might be a little obvious that I'm looking for a delicious chocolate snack box from some of the best places for it!
I've had a few from the area but I'd love to try more from there! I am in love with the Freia Melksjokolade and Tony Chocolonely those are like a piece of heaven imo.
Now this isn't to say that I'm opposed to other snacks as well but definitely chocolate is what I'm mostly after! One thing I would like to bring attention to and I really hope I don't come off as some scumbag, but I would prefer if anybody that does a trade with me to stay away from the "Haribo" brand candies. Maybe it's just every store I've bought them from but they're never quality gummies always hard to chew and not very flavorful. My favorite brand of gummies is Albanese which are from Indiana in the US and I'll be happy to send some. Again I really don't hope I come off like some ass just sharing a preference. That being said if you know of Haribo product in your country that would rock my socks off I'll give it a shot.
As for what I can offer I'm in the US and have access to American snacks and things, and live very very close to Mexico and I can get delicious things from there as well! If you're interested but aren't sure what to ask for I'd be happy to lend a hand on suggestions!
Please and thank you!
P.S.
As for the chocolates the more nuts in the chocolates the better! Almonds! Peanuts! Hazelnuts! Pecans! Bring it all on I live for it!
Sigh. Season 3 did NOT disappoint and it was over far too quickly even though I desperately tried to drag it out.
Bob, now living with Nathalie and Jackson, is expecting a new baby with Nathalie. He is working as a handyman after losing his job in disgrace and having some money troubles.
Ferry Bouman has been released from prison and is trying to re-establish his ecstasy empire. But things have changed since Ferry got out.
The charming Danielle has her own mobile dog grooming business and has bought a house and lives with her new girlfriend, Ingrid. She still has a soft spot for Ferry and he for her.
Into the void left by Ferry, stepped Leyla and Serkan Bulut and their henchman Timur. While Serkan is acknowledged in the underworld of drug dealing due to his reputation, it is his wife, Leyla who is really the mastermind of the operation.
Bob is pressed back into service off the books and teamed up with none other thanβ¦.Ferry Bouman!!!!! They bicker like hell but somehow work so well together you wish for a show with Bob & Ferry.
No more information from me. Suffice to say Season 4 better see the return of Bob, Ferry, Danielle & Leyla!!!! And Nathalie for balance.
Season 3 will make you keep saying - one more episode!!!! And Leyla and Serkan have chemistry!
Let's have a... civil debate.

Jens Adams is going! Thibau Nys in the team but only if he recovers from yesterday's injury. Very small U23 and juniors teams for Belgian women and all Dutch, also just 2 elites for Dutch men and Belgian women.
Hello, I am writing this for my mother who has 20 years of experience working for the Albanian government. She is currently residing in Brussels representing our government and wants to stay there in hope for a better life for me and her. However she is not sure for where to look for or what kind of job she is able to land. She can speak basic French, advanced English and advanced Italian, a Bachelors in law and a Masters in International Relations which she received in Belgium. Thanks for your help, things are getting tough.
Not sure where else I can possibly get a straight answer to this question. Can anyone tell me if these countries accept antigen tests or proof of recovery in order to enter bars and restaurants? Any insight would be appreciated.
