Beany and Cecil Puns

Lord, where to start with this. I have a tendency to write way more than I need to, so I'll try and keep this brief.

So basically, I was a Beanie Baby collector in the late 90s when I was just a kid, and then I mostly stopped paying attention to them for about 15+ years, only getting back into it a few years ago. I bought some old collector magazines and showed them off on Youtube, which was met with a decent amount of interest, and then I ended up going after a full collection of the particular Beanies that were around when I collected them as a kid.

While working on this collection, it was painfully obvious that the majority of people on eBay have no idea what they're talking about, and it's easy to see why. Most of the articles online are full of complete nonsense, and usually consist of listing 10-20 common Beanies and then giving bogus reasons as to why they're rare and worth thousands of dollars. They're getting away with this because of the eBay sellers listing them for ludicrously high prices... and then not selling them. But it's easy enough to search for "Princess Beanie Baby", see the high prices everyone is asking for, and then not bother to do any further research beyond that. You can ask for whatever price you want, but if it's not actually selling for that amount, then that's not an accurate price, and that's what a lot of people don't seem to realize.

For example, last year, Cosmopolitan posted this article, which is 100% wrong. The closest it comes to being even remotely accurate is by saying that certain colors of Patti are worth more, and that Blackie with an older tag generation is valuable. But it doesn't provide any further info, and the pictures it shows are of the common ones. I actually made a video specifically debunking this article because of how many people were falling for it. I also did (a very unprofessional) one ranting about a Business Insider video with alleged "Beanie expert" Dr. Lori spewing complete bullshit and causing further damage to the community. I’m currently a basic brocheter and I can only do single and double crochet on a flat plane. I’d like to know how to do 3 dimensions

Personally I don't use any of them but I know some people do, and I'm intrigued about their purpose. I asume that sleeping beanies are good for people in cold areas or this time of the year but why do people also wear them in normal or even hot temperatures?

Also, why would you need a sleeping mask? I really see no purpose on that rather than being used for people with eye problems or something...?

Just curious about it.

All I remember is that it was an animation and they were doing a slow sort of dance and it was a whole group of them. I just found it really funny so yeah.
