A list of puns related to "Barricade (2012 film)"
One of my favorite horror films, I never get tired of rewatching it, it's always fun to see others watching this film for the first time too lol, the opening scene always gets them. I remember watching this film & feeling so uneasy during the scenes where Hawke's character is watching the films, the twists in this film especially near the end completely floored me, I didn't see it coming & it left me speechless.
This film had a nice cast of actors with Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Juliet Rylance, James Ransone and the late Fred Dalton Thompson, a really intriguing premise & the Super 8 footage was deeply unsettling IMHO, the opening scene is something that I will always remember from this film, as well as the ending. I have yet to see the sequel but I've heard some mixed things about it, still plan on checking it out one day though. What did you think of this film? Which Super 8 film footage was the most disturbing or creepiest to you? For me: >!Hanging Out, the Pool Party & the BBQ 79 were really eerie, especially how the latter one sounded, the music in that last one gave me chills, the children looked so creepy.!<
Seriously, I just saw it for the second time and needed to recommend it here, because the subject matter is incredibly powerful and thought-provoking.
A young girl tells a lie about a man, leading her caretakers to believe he sexually abused her, and the tight-knit community this man lives among slowly turns against him. I found it a really good character study, and a good commentary on how unsubstantiated rumours can circulate and have lasting impacts on every aspect of a person's life, especially if they live in small communities where everyone knows everyone else. And the thing is, you feel for every person in the movie, in a different way. You understand the anger some of them are feeling. Yet, you also want to shake the screen and go, "stop, enough already". I've seldom wanted to step into a movie so much and attempt to fix a situation like this one.
It's a slow burn, and the original language is Danish, but I'd highly recommend it if you enjoy movies that really hit you and elicit a visceral response.
Liebes Schwarmwissen!

Danke!
So i dont know if this movie was in English or in a foreign language, bc a the time my English wasn’t that great and I thought British accent was another language lol. Its about teenagers group of friends who enter people houses to steal & destroy it i think they were gang or homeless teenagers, who will play with knives and then they will get into a serious fight with each other they were a troubled teenager basically. except there is one girls who went to the master bedroom and played dress up it looked like she was fanatasizing about it. it turn out it’s actually her house and she knew that her weren’t there. It reveal that she is pregnant and ran away, and her neighbor who also she had a relationship with and he was like where were you all this time something like that. Her friends were surprised bc they didn’t knew she was pregnant until she gave birth. The whole setting of the movie was in the house.
Titanic made $600M in it's original domestic run. It added another $59M in it's 2012 rerelease. If it didn't, it would have been kicked out of the top 10 by No Way Home today.
Its starring Vincent D'Onofrio, as a taxi driver but it appears his real occupation is far more sinister. The concept is a mother and her 9 year old child Tim get dropped off by their husband at the movies, once done they get done they get a cab to go home. Upon realizing something is wrong, its far too late. From a decade long journey this movie gets violent, depressing, and ends with an ending that I for sure wasn't expecting.
Vincent is terrific in this film, his character is a very fucked up individual as you will soon find out. Its watchable on Amazon Prime, highly recommend it. I was just looking for a random movie to watch and I honestly couldn't put this down.
The film is about a bank heist, but with a twist during the film being that a serial killer was inside the bank as it was being robbed.
The serial killer had been given a nickname that related to glass or windows, and he had the anatomical knowledge to sever arteries with an approximation of time before death by blood loss.
Okay, I looked online after watching it and saw that the only posts talking about Les Misérables and Anarchism was about the book it was based off of. I want to share with you guys the symbolism that may have been overlooked if you weren't searching for it. This is in no particular order since I remember it but not which order it happened-
Red: the blood of angry men! Black: the dark of ages past! Red: a world about to dawn! Black: the night that ends at last!
Those certain colors bring to mind a certain flag?
Nobody would have stopped the guy from leaving if he wanted to, and nobody was forced to fight with them. Doesn't that sound fairly Anarchist?
Do You Hear The People Sing? (Song)
This is literally a song people have started singing in protests and I love it. I'm also gonna add some of the epilogue lyrics since it adds onto the song nicely.
Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of the people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes!
Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me? Beyond the barricade Is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight That will give you the right to be free!
Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of the people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes!
Will you give all you can give So that our banner may advance? Some will fall and some will live Will you stand up and take your chance? The blood of the martyrs Will water the meadows of France!
Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of the people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes
(Partial Epilogue)
Do you hear the people sing? Lost in the valley of the night It is the music of a people Who are climbing to the light
For the wretched of the Earth There is a flame that never dies Even the darkest night will end And the sun will rise
They will live again in freedom In the garden of the Lord They will walk behind the ploughshare They will put away the sword
The chain will be broken A

What is this movie I rented at a library on DVD in 2013?
In this movie a man who works at a library is sad the dewy decimal system has already been replaced by computers, uses a type writer and a landline phone on the daily. He rides an old bike and meets a woman who takes him on an adventure. They end up going to a museum in a "desert" or dry grassland area that has old hoe's and sickles that worn to the nub. Some old guy who I thought was Robert Duvall(his IMDB didn't show it so I guess it wasn't him, unless it is there and I'm so lost I looked over it) makes him scrambled eggs and talks about the end of the world due to climate change. The woman he is with is leading him on the whole time cause she is going through similar issues. I cannot for the life of me remember the title, but I think it was a play on words or a misspelling of a word, but I might have that confused with something else cause my brain is melting, sorry. Thank you if you have any clue what i am talking about. I rented it from a public library, but they actually had a very big collection of movies but i don't want to leave any stone unturned. Thank you again.
I have been searching for a copy of Jonny Greenwood's musical cues that appear in the film The Master (which differ from the versions that were released on the film's soundtrack album).
They were posted as streamable MP3s on the film's awards consideration website in 2012 as reported here: Listen: Jonny Greenwood’s Unreleased Score For ‘The Master’ | IndieWire
There are some old forum posts where people had downloaded and shared the MP3s, but I've not found a working link or been able to find anyone who has a copy.
That’s not to say it’s bad movie, it’s a pretty decent movie but it’s not the best representation of the musical. But it feels like what it is: a film adaptation of a stage musical. I just don’t particularly agree with a lot of the choices made, so I decided to make a pros and cons list.
Pros:
The love triangle between Cossette, Marius and Éponine is absolutely wonderful in this film. Samantha Barks is easily one of, if not the best Éponine.
The barricade boys are amazing. So many Les Mis veterans. Plus, Hadley Fraser’s cameo is brilliant.
Colm Wilkinson. Need I say more?
Cons:
The main cast aren’t the best, the worst being Russel Crowe, something just sounds off and artificial about his voice, which is weird because they sung it all live. Speaking of which;
Singing live. They had the opportunity to make it perfect since it’s a movie but they just didn’t.
These are only a few gripes I have with the film. Maybe we can have a friendly discussion in the comments about it.
