A list of puns related to "Bad Hair Day (Modern Family)"
...it was very knotty.
This has always bothered me especially in Breaking Bad where its supposed to have a realistic tone with the characters financially struggling but thier house having a pool and a decent sized patio
Is this just because it would look better in a TV show or is it common?
Depending on which 'type' I was, but overall, I think there are more pros to being a vampire than cons. I know people are antsy about drinking blood, but I don't think it'll be that bad once I'm a vampire. The twilight vampires are cool. Not much can kill you. The Vampire Diaries version are a bit trickier with sunlight and vervain, but I think with the right resources and mentality, avoiding the sun and suspicious eyes should be something doable. True Blood vampires are equally amazing. Minor inconveniences is a price to pay for immortality, but I don't think it's that bad.
I think the whole mortality thing is overrated. If you had a friend who was willing to be a vampire with you, the whole 'I will die alone' sadness goes away.
Edit: I just think it's unpopular because almost every story ever, the characters don't want to be a vampire. They think be dead is a big deal and all. But I don't really see why 'dead' is bad. Yes, most of them talk about being soulless, but I guess I don't believe in souls so it doesn't bother me.
Hi all,
I'm looking for the title and author of a particular short story I read several years ago. I found it in an anthology at a bookstore, but unfortunately I can't remember the name of the anthology, either. In spite of what I just said above, the story itself has always stuck with me, and I'd like to find it again, as well as find more works by the author.
I would classify the story as Lovecraftian/sci-fi/horror. To expand on the plot summary I put in the title, the scribe (I think a teenage, high school girl) lives with her aunt, and they are part of a long line of worshippers of (I think its called) the Drowned God. Signs begin to appear throughout the town they live near that the Drowned God is selecting a bride, such as salt(?) snowing across the town. During this scary event, she meets another (I think) teenage, high school girl, who seems completely detached from the reality of the horrors befalling the town; she's actually entertained and thrilled by it. Yet somehow the scribe becomes attached to the girl. When the scribe notices a shark splayed on a tree in the backyard of the house where the other girl lives, she realizes the Drowned God has selected that particular girl to be its bride, and decides to protect her. Eventually, the town turns into a living hell, with townspeople committing suicide and the town itself becoming flooded and swarmed with tentacled, tropical-colored monsters.
At the end of the story, the detached girl shows up to the scribe's house leading an army of monsters, revealing herself to be the Drowned God, and that it is the scribe who has been selected as its bride. The Drowned God offers its hand in marriage to the scribe, saying that it'll take her to its underwater palace (and I will never forget the following line from the story), "where even the light won't have permission to touch you." The story ends where the scribe makes one last recording in her journal that she went with the Drowned God.
An additional detail that always stood out to me is that whenever someone in the scribe's family dropped or broke an item, the shattered pieces would form something called an Unforgiveable Shape (or was it Unspeakable Shape?).
Getting up one morning to head to work in the office, you throw on your uniform in front of your mirror, but notice one glaring issue with your appearance. Youβre hair is a messβ¦
Combing it as best you can, you head to your office and begin your work only for your secretary to walk in.
Your secretary scolds you and declares adamantly that they will cut your hair for you!

Mine is Season 4 - Season 5. Only Haley had grown up, we got Larry and Claire hadn't gotten short hair yet.
Edit: we also got to see Claire with brown hair.
I saw this scene in a WatchMojo top 10 video a while ago. I don't even remember how long ago. It was not Modern Family/Gloria; I watched that clip and they don't even look close. The clip seemed to be like it was from a sitcom? I believe the woman had brown/darker hair, but I'm not sure. The phrase "I'm smart in Spanish" pops into my head, but I'm not sure if that was actually said.
Other shows I've watched and liked include: Man like Mobeen, Law & Order SVU, Family Ties, Orphan Black, Black-ish, Scrubs, Golden Girls, The IT Crowd, Chewing Gum, The Office (UK & USA), Friends, 30 Rock, Gilmore Girls, Parks & Rec, How I Met Your Mother, Full House, Fuller House, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Community, Suits, White Collar, Criminal Minds, Bones, New Girl, Good Girls, Rectify, The Ranch, Workin Moms, Champions, The Mindy Project, Forever, UnBreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Two and a Half Men, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, How to Get Away with Murder, Friends from College, Homeland, 24, Santa Clarita Diet, You, Rules of Engagement, Never Have I Ever, Fresh Prince, Arrested Development, Smart Guy, The Cosby Show, Jane The Virgin, Marlon, Queer Eye, The End of the F* World, Mr. Iglesias, Modern Love, Living With Yourself, Master of None, Ellen (her sitcom), House, Monk, Psych, Superstore, 2 Broke Girls, 8 Simple Rules, Boy Meets World, Mixology, Baby Daddy, Raising Hope, Everybody Loves Raymond, That 70's Show, Lie To Me, Grandfathered, George Lopez (the sitcom), Dr. Ken, Dead to Me, and more...
I'm pretty sure I need to find better use of my time, but I'll look for recommendations till I find something better. I've got low standards on what I'll watch, but high approval requirements. I will also accept telling me to go seek help.
If I knew how to do side by side pics I would.
I love the show and Iβm not complaining. But it is a fact! Come on folks...why is no one talking about this?
Ok so I was replying to another post and I got an idea. The family line of Desmond Miles includes Altiar, Ezio, and the Kenways. Witch covers AC 1,2, brotherhood, revelations, 3, and black flag.
The current trilogy made Aya a Descendant of Kassandra. And with Eivor using Darius style hidden blade itβs very possible that they are going to connect them back to Kassandra as well. Maybe it is his hidden Blade? So my thought is is what if they make Eivor an ancestor of the Fry twins. And have Aya have another child that leads to Arno. This would link all of the assassins creed protagonists except for Shea. Which it wouldnβt be that difficult to tie in his line with the Kenway line with a descendant of Connors before we get to the known people in modern day. And then if one of the Fry twins descendants got with a descendant of Arno these 2 lines unified back into one person could be the unknown mother of Desmonds son. And since I believe Abstergo has Desmonds son it would be fairly easy for them to use his DNA to access his ancestors.
This would give us a new modern day protagonist to follow for a continuous story with future games. Iβm not sure but I believe Desmonds son is also a sage which would give him access to all kinds of Esu information that assassins had not previously had access to.
Also this is just going off of the games story and information I havenβt read any of the novelizations so some of this may have already been discussed there.
Thoughts?
