A list of puns related to "Bad Company discography"
Everyone is always talking about good, underrated, etc. discographies but what groups have (objectively or subjectively) bad songs?
I apologize of this post ends up getting too negative. Im just curious what peoples answers would be!
Just sat in a meeting where we were informed we couldnβt give job applicants the name of the company until they had agreed to accept the position because the clients reputation was so bad.... apparently they mass fire their staff every 120 days for no reason other than to deprive them of state mandated benefits π
I put their entire discography on shuffle and like every song is so good and vibey? I canβt believe I didnβt Stan before!! I knew of a couple songs like all night and always you, but recently some of the bsides like growing pains, λλΌμ, stay with me (πππ) and literally so many more have been growing on me SOO much.
What is yβallβs advice to stanning this amazing group?? :D
I need a sanity check. Tell me if I'm crazy to start applying elsewhere after just 6 months at this job.
Good pay, good benefits, great work-life balance. The people are nice. I'm part of a tiny software development team in a finance company, which is what I like - I'm personally not interested in big tech or startup work.
Sounds like steady, easy work right? It is. And everybody here is very comfortable. Too comfortable. Code review, unit tests, CI/CD, any type of QA, etc. are scoffed at. My coworkers look at me funny for making feature branches. They work directly on the Master branch, and they push to it & deploy it from their local machines throughout the the day. We have no dev environment at all.
The team's time is split 50/50 between pushing unfinished spaghetti code directly to prod and fixing the constant problems that arise as a result. There are no coding standards of any kind. The database structure is an indecipherable mess and it is discouraged to spend any amount of time improving it - you're expected to just add another block on top of the Jenga tower and leave it alone. Data integrity is non-existent.
I politely bring these things up frequently and I'm always brushed off. I can't even get them to set aside five minutes to review some particularly sensitive code I've had to work on. They will put it off for days and days until I just give up, put on my cowboy hat and slam that shit into prod while hoping for the best.
Am I crazy to get out of here ASAP? I don't want my skills to stagnate at this company while I'm barely 3 years into my career. What I described above is unacceptable in my eyes, even for someone like me who just wants to write business logic and build boring CRUD apps at no-name companies.
I remember before i got properly into twice i thought their discography wasnβt the best because of how people talked about it.
i sat down properly and listened to it a few months back to see what the big deal was and i found myself confused. i found myself enjoying a lot of their tracks and thought they were really good. thatβs why i donβt get where the bad discography thing came from.
minus the what is love album (one of their weakest imo) their discography was pretty solid to me. i have a lot of tracks from each album in my playlist. even the weaker tracks arenβt even that bad, it comes down to personal preference. thereβs a lot of songs in their discography i can find myself going back to and enjoying.
side note: is anyone else discovering that a lot of things that are supposedly bad about twice arenβt really that bad when you get past the dramatics?
So basically im looking for jobs. I see that walmart is hiring but the thing is they been exposed multiple times on the internet. Back in 2018 i believe a video went viral of a boy exposing them on the intercom then in 2020 a girl on tiktok doing the same thing and then i look at the comments and the comments say the same thing how their a bad company they dont care about their employees etc. So my question is is this company really that bad? Should i even bother with walmart or is what people are saying is true? Thanks
I was super into Linkin Park when Hybrid Theory dropped back in the day. I moved on to other bands after that though and didn't really follow them anymore. I recently went back to check out their material and while I think Meteora is alright, what happened after that? They were great at mixing catchy rap and radio friendly hooks while adding an aggressive edge. To be clear I actually listen to more pop-based music than metal, but the stuff they put out afterwards isn't even catchy. Obviously I'm a little late to the party on this, lol but how do people on here feel about their discography as a whole?
I made a big mistake of taking my application to apply to a CS program in Canada to this bullshit of a company called "Eduleverage". These guys are making my life living hell. Their education counselor doesn't know shit about colleges(I had to advice him multiple times because he was choosing wrong colleges for me) and basically just lies to get things done quickly.
After applying to the college, they told me that college will communicate with me but I'm not getting any emails. After asking him, he said that their company will handle all the communication(of course after I made the payment and everything's done he's telling me the truth now). After 3 weeks in, I called and he had the balls to tell me that an entire week ago college said I need some different transcript. A WEEK AGO? and he's telling me when I contacted him? he doesn't pick up my calls and there's some issue with the docs and he's not explaining to me what's really going on. Reaching him takes like 2 days and he gives lame replies like "I'll confirm with the team" or "everything's going good".
How can I take the application back from these fucking nut jobs and proceed with myself? Is it too late to do that? This is my dream college and I don't want to mess up anything. All I can think is complaining to the company about this idiot but I don't think that'll do anything much
One of my favorites, would love to see it added to portal
For those who haven't played Bad Company 1 (still the best story/characters in any Battlefield game) you basically join a squad who desert the US Army to chase after a bunch of gold bars. In the end (spoilers I guess) they basically drive off in a truck full of gold.
OG No-Pats confirmed?
Also EA should make another single player Bad Company game that's more like BC1 than BC2.
Keep smelling clean.
Iβm new to frank ocean and have just finished listening through both of the previously stated albums after falling in love with Blonde and channel ORANGE. I absolutely loved both endless and Nostalgia ultra and I wish they were on Spotify. Is there any particular reason he has never officially released them?
I work for a consulting company. I like my work. I don't mind half of my clients. I get to solve problems, which I love doing. However, during our compensation review, they've switched up from prior years. Instead of raises, they introduced a bonus structure based on 2000 working hours per week. Utilization (meaning billable client hours) is at a minimum 75% and exceeding utilization targets is how you earn additional compensation. Sounds good right?
No. 2000 working hours equates to 250 8 hour working days. That means that I have to have 1575 hours of billability for a 5% bonus at the end of the year. That means taking 0 PTO days and forgoing the PTO I've already accrued, since I am not allowed to carry over more than 40 hours per year. OR I can work overtime (which kinda defeats the purpose of PTO but whatever). This year I took 10 days of PTO. Not crazy. I needed every hour. That means that of the 2000 hours that my bonus is based on, I am only actually working 1920 hours. 60 of those hours I'm required to either get another certification or do another approved activity. In addition, we have company meetings/agile ceremonies/training that are required/encouraged to attend and not billable. In the presentation we got, the non-bill portion of the 2000 hours is expected to be 340 hours per year. If I take the same amount of PTO, I have almost no way of exceeding my utilization target because this is all based on working 1500 hours for a client. (1920 - 60 - 340 = 1520). I can only meet utilization based on their own graphic. And I get it. Some weeks are going to be busier than others, so I'll put in extra time to make sure a project goes well. I go above and beyond to prep for trainings and personalize them. I rehearse and try to anticipate technical questions. I'm a team player, and I pitch in when someone needs help. And that means extra time. But unless I spend an extra hour working billable hours every week, I will make less than I made last year. And that's for the 5% bonus. To receive a 10% bonus, I will have to work 42.5 hours per week. And then for the max (15% bonus), I will have to work 43.94 hours per week. That sounds petty. I'm knit-picking over 1-3 hours a week, but the expectation is that I don't have a work life balance. I have to make a lot of considerations when deciding to take more PTO because it directly impacts me financially, making it not really paid time off. It also puts the emphasis on the amount of time that I bill and not c

Rebooting Bad Company would allow them to do all sorts Fortnite skins, cringe dance moves, neon pink guns, heroes, etc. Maybe then DICE would finally attract the crowd they so desperately want.
It's pretty obvious at this point that the days of well grounded and down to earth Battlefield games are long gone. We are never getting another atmospheric game Battlefield 1.
Sorry if this is kind of confusing, I'm trying to figure out the best way to say this. Basically...
Oasis's peak is universally considered to be in the 90's, and it makes sense. Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory are almost wall to wall bangers, albums filled with master songwriting craftsmanship and singing juxtaposed against raw rock and roll simplicity. Be Here Now is also not too bad of an album (though the length of certain songs and layering of guitars is a bit more for a few, myself included).
Two big things happened though between Oasis's 90's material and 2000's stuff: they had new members replace some of the old ones and their "style" evolved slightly. The former probably played a role in the latter (going from a Noel dominated group to a more diplomatic four-headed monster), but even on Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Noel was already going through a stylistic change. According to Wikipedia:
>Noel decided to drop the equipment used in the three previous albums and instead buy "loads of really weird pedals, old guitars, and small amps", as the lack of deadline to deliver the album allowed Gallagher to "take quite a few days just messing around" and attempt new musical sonorities.
In that respect, Giants is arguably Oasis's Revolver in the sense of an album that was made during a long period of free times which lead to experimentation within the studio. Giants (which I consider to be one of if not the strongest of their 2000's albums...Dig Out Your Soul is another contender for me though), was the album where Oasis started shifting away from their heavy focus on loud and simple rock and roll bangers with a few ballads sprinkled in. Obviously, those two styles still exist on the rest of their 2000's material, but you also saw more excursions into psychedelia, 2000's indie rock, and various other things.
The catalyst for me writing this was going through an unpopular opinion thread and someone complained about how Oasis started falling apart when Guigsy and Bonehead left. They were an integral part of the band, but Oasis couldn't keep working in the same framework forever, could they? Great bands evolve. Oasis wrote a lot of their best material in the 90's, but we still have stuff like Go Let it Out, Let's All Make Believe, Gas Panic!, Little by Little, The Importance of Being Idle, Meaning of Soul, Part of the Queue, Bag it Up, The Turning, Ain't Got Nuthin, and the hail mary of them all, *The Shock of t

Title pretty much says it all. Previous job ko (my first job) is in engineering and wala akong bond dun then nag career shift ako sa programming meron ako ngaun 1 year training bond and it looks like this is normal in this industry.
I get where they're coming from naman, sa engineering kasi WEEK 1 pa lang napapakinabangan na ko habang dito sa programming 1 month or 2 months ilalaan for training (which means wala pa ko nagagawang output sa company)... lugi nga naman sila pag nagresign ako agad.
So question ko lang is what if hindi ko pala nagustuhan yung company? Like hindi maganda ang company culture, toxic environment, OTY, etc? IIRC yun ung point ng probation, if ayaw sayo ng company pede ka tanggalin and if ayaw mo sa kanila pede ka umalis, pero since my training bond ka nakatali ka na agad sa company....
Any thoughts?
Ok so hear me out, the thing that got me extremely intrigued about is that I myself have Seungkwan as my bias and utt, with Wonwoo and Joshua as my bias wreckers. But actually after thinking about it, my favorite unit is actually the Performance unit.
I seriously love all the songs and stages from performance unit, they are always so unique and fun to listen and watch. Not that the other units's songs are bad, of course, but I always find myself enjoying performance unit's songs in the albums the most, aside from the titletracks.
Also, if I had to pick my all time favorite song from SVT out of their entire discography (yeah I know it's hard af xD) I would pick 247, which also happens to be from the perf team hahah. This song just got me hooked the moment I first listened to it and it almost never left my daily playlist since. The ironic part is that when I first listened to it back in 2019 I wasn't all that into SVT yet (just a casual listener), and I srsly thought the song was from the Vocal unit lol
So I was wondering if anyone else have similar pattern as me? hahah I mean, normally in kpop groups I always just naturally gravitate more towards the songs that have my bias(es) in, but SVT srsly has an different impact in me, but in a good way xD
Heβs not necessarily a bad person, but my god, is he bad at his job. He rants about people not doing their jobs and doesnβt even know how to do his own.
He was left pretty short-staffed on Black Friday and was tasked with doing someone elseβs job in his department, but I came in the next day and the department was in shambles. My coworker did a great job smoothing things out before I got there, but then I had to pick up the pieces by myself. The more I worked, the more I found completely wrecked. My manager had done things to peoples orders that I would be written up and coached for. I had to make so many phone calls that I exhausted my emotional energy for the entire weekend and had to leave work early.
The kicker is there are plenty of managers at my job that donβt do their work or even donβt do it well. This guy is just an ass to all of us. Some of us having learning disabilities and he doesnβt listen to us when we make suggestions on how we can work better. Heβll dismiss us and just say, βwell, just pay attention and do your job better!β As someone with ADHD, I fucking wish I could, bud. No other manager says things like that to me and I get high praise for my work from other leadership.
Iβm looking for another job, but nothing pays $15/hr with an associateβs degree. I hate to leave my other coworkers, but bad management is detrimental to my health. I come first.
You can state your Top 10 SKZ recommendation here or any number you want. You can also share your thoughts and reasons why you recommended that song to them like itβs a different genre and gives different vibes, etc.
Godβs Menu - I always recommend the MV one because the visuals and the whole MV fits well to the music and I think it also adds to the flavor of the music. Listening also to this on Spotify while using my average earphones in loud speaker makes me to finish my assessments so fast. It makes me hype and excited. Also, if my IRL friend asked me to recommend SKZ music, I always recommend it first because it leaves a good impression to them and itβs really one of those music that youβll know that itβs certainly their sound.
Neverending Story & 24 to 25- These 2 music showcases their vocals. A good introduction that SKZ have good vocals. I watch some tiktok videos before and whenever I saw a ranking, I always see SKZ in the lowest part. No offense to other groups stan but I think SKZ really have diverse and unique tones from each other but it blends well? I donβt know how to term them correctly, please correct me. Itβs just that some listeners probably listened to their TT only without listening to the B-sides which is understandable but I want everyone to know that SKZ have really insane vocals and they are good in singing live.
Domino & Maze of Memories - I really love the rap parts here. Aye domino & I wanna look back to the future in factβ¦
Back Door - When I recommended this song to my cousin and sister, they told me that they liked it and the bass part here is so addictable.
Hello Stranger & Slump - I do think that those who likes rock prefers listening to this. Hello Stranger deserves more recognition and Slump really made me to stan SKZ real hard considering the lyrics fits well to whatβs happening to my personal life and them singing to One Take is #1 for me.
Insomnia - I have really soft spot here and I think this song fits to midnight playlist. This is just so good and I think majority of people will like this.
Miroh & Victory Song - these 2 are good for those who want to get hyped while exercising.
Another Day, Levanter, Sunshine, Grow Up, & Starlost - Comfort.
Phobia - The Great Bridge of Phobia.
Thunderous, Side Effects, and District 9 - EDM that also gets me energized.
I would love to read your recommendation SKZ music / playlist as well as your thoughts. Have a ni
