Bacillus isolates Puns

In lab we have a presentation coming up and my group was given Bacillus anthracis. We've got a lot of great info from pubmed and other various databases we have access to through our school, but I can't seem to find any great papers on the metabolism of the microbe itself, or selective media used to isolate it. If anyone knows of any databases I should check out in particular, or even some specific papers, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks ahead of time!

So I'm analysing results from an experiment we've done at school where we collected a sample from root soil and isolate Bacillus. We then amplified the 16S gene, put into plasmid, and purified it and then sequenced it.

When inputting the sequence into NCBI Blast my sequence is returning 5 different Bacillus species (each with 99.6% identification and the same E-score (2.9E-06).

I'm unsure of why this would have happened? Could it be due to issues extracting DNA? I managed to narrow down which species it could be by constructing a phylogenetic tree, just not sure why each species has same identification and E-score.

According to researchers, the gene, Delta 32, is found in those whose European ancestors survived The Plague. It is therefore believed that the human immune system adapted to defeat the disease and that the gene was passed along to safeguard generations to come.

In 1969, in his testimony before the US Senate, Dr. Donald MacArthur effectively asked for $10 million to produce a “synthetic biological agent”. With this testimony, many believed to have found the crucial evidence that the US Department of Defence created the AIDS “virus”, with the following extract from his statement being key:

“All biological agents up to the present time are representatives of naturally occurring disease, and are thus known by scientists throughout the world. They are easily available to qualified scientists for research, either for offensive or defensive purposes.”

Considering how Delta 32 was concluded by “scientists” as protecting people from ever being able to develop AIDS, the above would lend strongly to the possibility of, not only the supposed “virus” being successfully created, but it being based on The Plague.

There is just one problem with this “conspiracy”: AIDS does not exist.

HIV/AIDS

AIDS – Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome – is supposedly caused by contracting HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus); only, there has, to date, been absolutely zero concrete evidence to support this claim.

Several renowned scientists and doctors, including Kary Mullis, who invented the PCR test (and made it clear at the time that the invention should never be used to test for diseases), venomously opposed the non-science that HIV caused anything – let alone AIDS.

Dr. Robert Willner was so adamant this was the case that he even injected himself with HIV on live television. He went on to repeat this act and, when he died of a sudden heart attack (read into this as you will), no trace of either HIV or AIDS were found in his blood.

Meanwhile, other auto-immune diseases with symptoms very similar to AIDS have been discovered, with “scientists” and “doctors” quick to utilise semantics (sophism) to separate them.

Hello! I am asking this for my brother whose a microbiology student. He has been given a task to enrich and characterize Bacillus without the use of spores and no anoxic conditions. However, he is having a bit of trouble finding some reference material not only explaining this process but to also use as a source. Wine is made from the juices of a variety of fruits by the fermentation of microorganisms (particularly yeast), either naturally or by seeding with a specific yeast strain. It is one of the oldest things in history, and it is consumed for a variety of reasons, including ceremonies, religious objectives, and pure enjoyment. The goal of this study is to isolate and identify microorganisms in wine made from the red muscat grape. A total of 13 packets of Red Muscat Grape were purchased from Eke Awka market, washed, mixed, and filtered to produce must. Before adding brewer's yeast and other ingredients, the must was put into sterile 100ml plastic containers and allowed to cool for 10 minutes. The must was left to ferment in the absence of oxygen for 6 days, allowing the yeast to transform the red muscat grape sugar into alcohol and carbon (iv) oxide. In a conical flask, 2g of Sabouraud dextrose agar (SDA) was measured in 50 ml of sterile distilled water. It was then autoclaved for 15 minutes at 121°C and 15 psi. The wine was cultured, and the bacteria that were discovered were isolated and identified. Lactobacillus spp, Escherichia coli, Micrococcus spp, Bacillus spp, Staphylococcus spp, Aspergillus spp, Mucor spp, and Fusarium spp were shown to be spoilage bacteria and fungus. Microbial contamination can occur even with sophisticated winemaking procedures. As a result, quality wine production necessitates paying close attention to potential sources of contamination during the winemaking and ageing processes. These bacteria have been linked to food spoiling in studies, particularly in the wine industry. These fungus have been known to alter the tastes and fragrances of finished wines, altering the wine's taste and character.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
