I guess it’s because they’re “bio-debatable.”

My Bio professor was teaching us how to press plants for our field journals. He kicked off the lecture with:

"Well, let's get down to the pressing business, shall we?"

Out of a room of twenty people, one person laughed. That person was me.

I work as a salesman in a call center. We were going over some of the more interesting names we’ve seen and called. Without disclosing the last name my neighbor said oh, you haven’t heard of “Cytoplasm XXXXXXX”? I answered. The guy is a computer programmer who I’d imagine changed his name to that unless his parents are that cruel. I start rambling off “Cytoplasm?? Of all the organelles in a eukaryotic cell to name yourself you pick cytoplasm?! What about Golgi apparatus, or endoplasmic reticulum?” My manager chimes in “wow you memorized a lot from bio” I told her I went to college for science shit but “now here I am making phone calls as a professional, thanks college” to which my neighbor replies.... “I guess now you could say you’re a PROkaryote

My seminar professor emails us, "No BioPsych today guys. We are interviewing 2017 people."

(she's referring to students in Sophomore graduating year who are applying for this concentration)

I respond in my email, "Wow 2017 people! That's practically the size of the entire student body! Good luck!" (we have a small campus)

Can I be a dad yet?

In class he was talking about the importance of hands-on, empirical research and says "I was reading your bios and realized you all are from Missouri". Everyone looked around because no one in the class was from Mizzou. He then developed a shit-eating grin and yelled "The show-me state! Missouri is the show-me state!"...ughhh

So she's got her bio final tomorrow. " Allele is such a weird word", she says. Without missing a bit, I reply, "Just allele." Maybe she should take a pregnancy test...
