A list of puns related to "BC Paraplegic Association"
Hi! hope you're having a good day!
I'm a CAD designer and I've been working on a 3D printable wheelchair design. The design is final but now it needs to be tested on whether and how well does it actually work. I still have some things to figure out and I want to work out all the issues through these tests.
my design isn't conventional by any means, It's built like a tank but is still kept fairly light to make sure it doesn't cause any stress wounds on the pet.
after multiple failed efforts of contacting rescue and disabled shelters, I'm here asking for your help. If you have a disabled pet, live in the US, and find this idea worth you're while then please reach out. I will cover all the related costs and in return, all I want is your honest opinion about it.
if interested, then please DM me. I'll be happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have regarding the chair.
The BC Dairy Association has opened a flood relief fund for their evacuated farmers.
The cattle that made it out will imminently be in need of feed and veterinary care.
When they return feed will be needed, as much will be lost or contaminated. Cleanup will have to happen.
In the long run farmers will need to rebuild their infrastructure and herd, this will take years. Stock breeding programs, which are integral to animal health and productivity, are intricately planned. The results of of carefully selected breeding over generations will be an immeasurable loss and take years to build back.
If anyone is so moved they can read more here.
The Dairy Association is accepting e-transfers at floodrecovery@bcdairy.ca

Hello Everyone!
On Wednesday, two members of the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA), Dr. Erika Penner u/BCPA_Penner and Dr. Simon Elterman u/DrSimonElterman, will be answering your questions! The BCPA recently launched a campaign call "Therapy Is Medicine, Too" to have psychological services covered under MSP (technically, APP) and we wanted to answer any questions you have and get any feedback from all of you.
If you would like to see some of the media coverage about our campaign, you can check out our Twitter, which is updated regularly with new news articles and interviews. We also have an open letter on Change.org that you can sign to help us show support.
As an introduction to why we are doing what we are doing, we will paste our press release below, which we wrote to be a summary of the Why and How of the campaign.
"British Columbians have struggled so much over the past year. COVID-19 has placed our population under enormous stress and now anxiety, depression, and people contemplating suicide are at an all-time high. The province has begun to take important steps toward addressing these issues, and as regulated health professionals who specialize in the science and practice of mental and behavioral health, psychologists want to help.
Successful medical treatment requires a team of professionals working together including nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and other specialty health care providers. The same is true for successful mental and behavioral health treatment. Now is the time to ensure that British Columbians have all qualified professionals available to be a part of their healthcare teamβincluding registered psychologists. Integrating psychology into healthcare reflects a comprehensive and evidence-based model of care that is the standard practice in many parts of the world. We believe it can be the standard of practice in British Columbia, too.
While there are many different ways that psychologists can help, one immediate step our province can take is to cover psychological services through the Medical Services Plan (MSP) or the Alternative P

There's been a lot of athlete endorsement deals in the past so I'm really keen to see what else these guys have in store. I still own just under $5k of them at an average of around 4.2c so I think this is finally the catalyst to movement.
The press release I read this morning is below. For those of you who don't know much about $CRFT, its a company that does CBD in the USA, Cannabis in California, Cannabis in Canada, and Psychedelics in Canada. Their 'thing' is taking old illegal growers who arent able to sell in regulated markets (criminal records, access to financing etc) but which have really good products, and they use their license and networks to get them sold in government owner channels.
They've been making some pretty cool moves, including a deal with OMURA and launching Grizzlers. From what I can see, it was a pump and dump in 2019, and now a new management team is taking over and making moves. Exciting to see. Here is the release below. The Tikcer is $CRFT on the Canadian Securities Exchange or $CRFTF on OTC. GLTA.

How dense do you have to be to think that people supporting restraunts that don't support the vaccine passport means it's their fault that the businesses that are asking for a vaccine passport are failing. It's clear the people are showing they do not support the vaccine passport by spending their money elsewhere.

A WheelCher
20 years ago when I was very young I became a paraplegic (car accident, not thrown from a castle tower). I first read the books when the show came out, and I could relate to parts of Branβs story a bit, but I didnβt think about it too much. On subsequent rereads/relistenings now that Iβm a little older, I tried to empathize more with Branβs POV and found there are a good amount of scenarios that I have experienced as well. So below are my thoughts on some passages from AGOT and ACOK that gave me a pause. Then at the end some quotes from Bran and Tyrion chapters that I really like.
Now Iβm unsure how much thought George put into specifically the mind of a young boy with paralysis. So for some of these I could be ascribing feelings that are shared for any young person without a disability, idk, so keep that in mind. Also this is my first time writing anything like this.
> The ground was closer now, still far far away, a thousand miles away, but closer than it had been. It was cold here in the darkness. There was no sun, no stars, only the ground below coming up to smash him, and the grey mists, and the whispering voice. He wanted to cry. - AGOT Bran III
Branβs dream after he falls is incredibly similar to the night terrors that I would commonly get for a few years after my accident. While most of the details are different (no magic crow harassing me above Westeros), the overwhelming sense of dread, an unstoppable force slowly reaching its way to me is eerily similar. The specific details of my night terrors are nebulous as I havenβt had one for many years, but I can still easily recall the fear from them.
> βI can go as long as you can.β Maester Luwin had warned him to keep the ride short, for fear of saddle sores, but Bran would not admit to weakness in front of his brother. - AGOT Bran V
Saddle sores/blisters and pressure sores are a huge threat to paraplegics, something you have to be mindful of every day. Bran 100% would have died from a pressure sore on his journey, but that would have cut the story a bit short.
> He was sick of the way everyone was always fussing over him and asking how he was. - AGOT Bran V
Lol. Anyone that has been sick for an extended period of time can feel this one. It took me a long time to realize people just want to help, and to learn to answer the question politely.
> As he waited, he was conscious of how uncomfortable he felt. He could not feel his legs, hanging useless i

this will be the first provincial election I will be voting in since I was not eligible last time due to my age.
With Andrew Wilkinson coming out saying that he will allow for private insurance to come into British Columbia this has of course got me asking a few questions.
I remember hearing a lot of shady things from the BC liberals including their strange relationship with ICBC, can someone point this out and explain some of the corrupt/wear things they did?
Exciting news in the world of cannabis and psychedelics. Gary payton partners with CRFT to launch a new line of athletic-inspired products featuring BC Craft options. They're looking at recovery, sports trauma, and pain management for now. Pretty cool stuff.
