A list of puns related to "Automatic bid"
Okay, I know Iβm a couple days late on this but itβs been a busy week. Does anyone else feel like this is Warren not trusting the teams in his conference ? Why is he holding everything up over this? Does he not think a big ten champion is gonna be ranked in the top 12 ? Iβm just very confused about this report.
So, bit of backstory. A friend and I are into scale model building, and a company we both like recently shut down and because the models are so good, people started buying as much as possible. This lead to a high demand on ebay, so that's currently a warzone.
Anywho, I noticed a kit I wanted to buy at an auction.. already at a high price, around 140 bucks, and I decided to bid on it. I kept being outbid by someones max bid which means that regardless of the amount I set someone max bid was automatically putting in a bid that would beat mine for a couple dollars, but instead of creating an automatic bid, I was doing it manually.. I wanted to see how far I'd have to pay to beat this guy. It went all the way up to 200 bucks, and that's when I called it quits. I'd just wait for another one and hope for better luck.
Frustrated, I talked my friend about how crazy the prices were, and how I was bidding on this one item but at 200USD it was crazy. Welp, turns out my friend was bidding on it too, and he was pissed because he now has to pay 200USD for the item, and said I shouldn't be bidding if I had no intent to buy and how I've completely fucked him over now. I told him I did have intent to buy up until 200, but it's not my problem he set a higher bid than what he actually wanted to pay and that's on him.
Later, he sent me another message, saying how he was even more pissed because another seller uploaded the same item at a much lower BUY NOW price, and he couldn't retract his bid anymore. This is where I know I may have been the asshole, but I just said "Oh cool, thanks for the heads up, buying it now. BTW, goodluck explaining to your wife about spending 200 on a model kit", and now he is twice pissed at me.
So, reddit... AITA?
UPDATE: Guess who just put the kit up for bid on Ebay... starting price... 199.99 USD
Since the league held a conference tournament in 1997, every tournament champion was from the former Big Eight Conference (Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, and Missouri got Wβs, in addition to Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas State).
Texasβ win over OK State tonight marks the first time the auto bid was won by a team from the Southwest Conferenceβand also the first team from the Lone Star State to win a league with a plurality of teams from the state.
In addition, theyβre the first new team to win a title since Mizzou got their first auto bid in 2009. So this win sets the Longhorns up for a probable 2-seed in March. Hook βem!
There is no conference tourney this year, so it's the regular season champ. Maybe you can point out what I've missed.
Nevada is 5-1 against San Diego State, including three wallopings in Reno during Nevada's current 11 game conference winning streak (which could easily become 14 against San Jose State this weekend).
Now I donβt expect us to make the tournament but today I asked myself βHas a losing record team ever made the tournament?β. To which I discovered it has at multiple times see here . Do any of you see a team thatβs currently below .500 securing a playoff bid as a 16 seed via winning their tournament or by winning enough of said tournament to go above .500

- I have 100+ Low Bid Automatic campaigns set at $.15, one for each product to run in perpetuity. This went from spending around $400-600/day at a 25% ACOS on average over the last 6 months to around $100/day. For some reason across my entire niche I can no longer get low bids. This all happened after I hired someone to help with PPC and we aggressively lowered bids in other campaigns.
- We never changed the max bid on the automatic campaign ad groups. All we did was negative exact some keywords. Not that many at all.
- I don't think there are cyclical/seasonal explanations like this since we had steady performance for nearly 6 months with this approach. There doesn't seem to be any major increase in competition either.
- Could it be possible that lowering bids in other campaigns impacts the bid auction for low bid automatic campaigns? Weird suggestion I know but I'm at a loss for words.

Because CBU (24-0) is a first-year Division I program in the transition period, CBU is ineligible for the NCAA Tournament and will have to go to the WNIT instead. As a result, no. 2 seed Utah Valley won the automatic bid and will make their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
Honestly, CBU's Jarrod Olson has to be a National Coach of the Year for what he was able to do in a first THIRD year D1 program during exceptional circumstances.
