A list of puns related to "Authentic Movement"
Hi everyone! I'm new to the community and have just stumbled upon this description of Authentic Movement by Janet Adler. I'm blown away by how much this resonates with my experience as a dancer that I've always felt but have never been able to put into words. I'm curious if anyone knows about opposing views to this method?
Hi guys,
Recently I brought back my genuine Datejust 1601to an unauthorised watchmaker, just because I needed the bracelet adjusted, just a quick fix nothing major.
I came back the next day to pick up the watch and to my great horror, the dude tells me the watch is inauthentic. So immediately I suspect him and tell him to open the caseback and show me. He told me he doesn't have the tool for it (isn't it literally the most common tool? lol) so when I got home I started anxiously inspecting the watch. Only to find out I can literally unscrew the back with my bare thumbs!
I have no clue on what the inside of the watch is actually supposed to look like or whether it's even possible for a watchmaker to swap out original Rolex parts with cheap ones so he can keep the expensive ones, or worse, steal the whole entire movement.
If you have any insight into this or tips on what to do, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

hopefully the op shitter i got doesnt crap out on me, but i dont have high hopes. if i can stick that dial on a compatible, better movement id be ok with that too. hopefully it doesnt come to that but i'd like to be properly prepared should the time come
I have an SNKM95 (the red Amazon edition of the SNK80x watches) and it stopped working. Took it to my watchmaker and he said the balance wheel is broken. He offered to fix it for me if I can procure a 7S26C (otherwise it would be much more expensive). Iโve been looking at eBay for a movement and saw this one being sold. It doesnโt have โMalaysiaโ on the rotor though, unlike the one I have.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Are there genuine 7S26C movements without the โMalaysiaโ?
I have quite a bit of Unity experience, however I am a novice in animation. In the past I have had someone else do character Animation aside from some Camera animation and simple object movement.
In this game I have large 3D Cube-like characters I made in Blender. Now a normal humanoid character will change in shape as they walk. But these block characters however do not change in shape as they move around the world, as they attack, and so on; they are always rigid and block like in shape.
They get around the world by rotating themselves. Most of the time they would move by pivoting on the corners of their shape. Here is an image to show what I am talking about. (Bonus Image). Think of moving a big cube of something heavy in real life by alternating pivoting it on the front two & bottom corners of the cube. Thatโs how they walk.
So by most means this is very simple animation: no need to alter a meshโs shape. However I have a few issues that need to be resolved:
