A list of puns related to "Artech (staffing company)"
I get contacted a lot from staffing agencies and find that the same (often brand name) companies come up pretty frequently with openings. Full time roles too, not necessarily contracts. Does this mean the company is having trouble getting people to apply on their own? Any reason to be wary of this?
I just started a staffing company in LA and I need clients. How much do you think I need to spend on Google Ads to get a at least a couple clients every month?
Let's fight this fraudulent plague of unsolicited contacts that are almost impossible to stop, with a bit of crowdsourcing.

Phone numbers
Sadly this won't help stop their unsolicited calls. All I can suggest for that is to create a Google Voice number and only put that on your resume, not your actual phone number that it is linked to. Once that phone number gets abused, you can change the number without having to change your real number
... keep reading on reddit β‘Requirements would be: -must allow time off for employees with no BS blackout dates -must actively support mental health for employees (e.g free calm premium subscription or free therapy) -AFFORDABLE good coverage health insurance with no long ass 90 day wait period π -ACTIVELY recruiting people from diverse backgrounds and being VOCAL about the need for diversity of all sorts within a company -TRANSPARENT AND FAIR pay for all employees. No DOE BS. If you are hired you are making top dollar. -absolutely no 8 round interviews. 2 max. 1 is a conversation, 2nd is a final.
WHY is it so hard for companies to fall in line??? I just started a new job at a great company and work with sourcing and onboarding new hires (I work in HR). I canβt believe how amazing this company is. It would be so easy for others to follow suit.
Edit: Iβm blown away by the support. Iβm going to follow through on this even if only a couple companies sign up. Iβm trying to figure out a way to gain more info on whatβs important to us as employees and I will be creating a Google form (anonymous of course) to try and collect more data about this. Iβll come back to this Reddit thread and post it! β€οΈ
Let's say that a staffing company operates in a different state. But they employ workers who work in manufacturing in Oregon. Are they required to pay overtime after more than 10 hours of work in a day? Or are they exempt because they operate in a different state?
Do they paid a portion of the salary that you work? Do they get paid a flat amount upfront? How do they get paid?
What IT/Tech staffing companies do yβall recommend for someone to go to who just has a degree in IT and no work experience.
Apes will become millionaires or billionaires when MOASS happens. Senior management are registered shareholders and can't do anything they want with their insider shares. But what about regular personnel. I assume a corporate stock plan would prevent selling en masse through the usual limitations in such plans.
If I was a GS employee, I'd own some shares of my own already. And basically 1 share at 70 milly is more than enough for anyone to sell and leave a retail job, no matter how nice it is.
What are your views?
Here's my situation, I work for a staffing company at a company as a contractor. I applied for a higher position at the same company at a different work location with a different team and manager during my contract and got hired. I told my managers I'm quitting and they are supportive of me moving to a higher position at the same company as a permanent employee, but are a bit frustrated that they have to now try to find a new employee. My contract still has months before it ends, and due to some recent events I'm 100% sure that my staffing company doesn't know that the company I'm contracted to hired me.
Do I need to tell my staffing company that the company I'm on a assignment on hired me? I have no obligation that is forcing me to stay working at my contract job. My contract job is a duration job, with no actual contract that forces me to work my job for its entire contract duration.
What I'm afraid of is if the staffing company finds out that if the company I'm contracted to hired me at a different work location they will try to sue me. Because from what I heard the staffing company I work for takes a portion of the wage I should be receiving per hour worked. And thus if I leave my position the staffing company is losing money.
The company I'm contracted to that hired me is one of the most largest and famous companies in the world, so I'm sure that I didn't forget something in my contract that obliges me to have to work for the rest of the duration of my contract, because I don't think a company with this reputation would make a mistake.
I'm alright burning bridges with my staffing company. I was a new college graduate with no experience, and now I have professional experience, and I'm getting hired on at a company that I will impress recruiters who see that I was able to get hired by said company. So I think that if I need to get a new job, I won't have much difficulty.
But if possible, I don't want to burn bridges with my staffing company. Who knows, I might need them again in the future, and my staffing company has jobs with some very reputable, big corporations. So I want to tell them that my contracted employer hired me. But I feel like I will regret it due to possible legal issues that I'm not aware about.
Do I need to tell my staffing company that I was hired by my contracted employer? I plan to tell them that I'm leaving my job, and to thank them. But I will leave out the details of who hired me. Is this a good idea?
Of course the messaging around how they limit the employee's leave is a huge part of the problem. And as always... "Your failure to plan for my taking time off isn't my problem."
Question on background check. What to put on employment history if I worked for a Company via Robert Half Staffing agency? How long is the process?
Yelp has some positives and negatives and Iβm conflicted about creating a Yelp problem page. Can a business thrive without a Yelp page?
Or can they only tell their managers about it and everything else will be taken care of.
Iβm working for a company in Florida, that manufactures hoses and expansion joints. I work in quality control, and was promised to be hired at 3 months, or 520 hours. I donβt get company benefits, any time the company has a holiday I donβt get paid for it, yet I cannot work. I donβt get sick days through the company OR the staffing company, so if I ever have to take a day it comes out of my pocket. They promised to send me to school, and didnβt. I go out of my way to do things for them that arenβt in my job description just for the experience, in hopes theyβll hire me and Iβll get benefits.
But man, it is just getting so insanely tiring. There is a week and a half coming up that the company shuts down for, and pays people for Christmas and NYD, thatβs it. I found out there were people saving their SICK DAYS so that they could use them to be paid and not be down a whole paycheck. When I found this out, I was really up their butts at about getting hired so I could at the very least get paid for Christmas and NYD, but they argued with me over it and said they would have a meeting with me about it. So by the time the meeting comes they start throwing things in my face about why they canβt hire me, such as: I was doing work for them and hurt myself whilst doing the work, and they used it as an excuse not to hire me. They literally said the words βwe enjoy the work you do, we donβt have an issue with it, but think about how getting hurt looks to an employer.β They ALSO used my attendance as an argument. Even though the days that Iβve been βabsentβ on their calendar, are the days they have holidays and I donβt get paid. Iβve been here for just about 9 months now and Iβm so tired of it. I just found out today everyone working for the company got a Christmas bonus, except for me. Itβs just shitty and I find out every day about how many corners they cut, how many times theyβve paid off OSHA, and how often they withhold pay from people. Sorry for the rant, itβs just a crappy situation and Iβm actively trying to find ways out.
