Context: A Space Marine Chapter Master takes charge of training and establishing a elite company sized formation of PDF
> 'I had the hundred best soldiers sent to me at the capital. There I trained them in everything I knew. For half a year, I pushed and pushed them.
> Many did not survive, and at first there were doubts.
> The Imperial commander had full faith in me, but his aides expressed concerns over my methods. Their self-importance was galling - who were they, bureaucrats and priests, to argue with a Chapter commander of the Dark Angels on military matters?
> I ignored them, and the protests were silenced when I led my elite company into battle for the first time.
> They were not Space Marines - five of my battle-brothers could have achieved what those sixty men did - but they were better equipped and more deadly than anything the rebels had faced before. We stormed one of the strongholds in the Sezenuan Mountains. For five hundred and seventeen days the Emperor's loyal forces had besieged the fortress; we took it in a single night.'
> [[----] > 'Fifty-one of the first sacred band survived the assault, and I sent them out to the other regiments to each train a hundred men, and those that survived to train a hundred more. As the number of sacred bands grew, the demand for bolters, ammunition, carapace armour, grenades and other weapons stretched the factories beyond capacity.

Tldr: 40% of initial selectees washed out. Of the remaining batch, 15% were KIA on their first deployment with an unknown number wounded. At least their D.I was willing to personally lead and get them some good gear.
A/N: So five Dark Angels are apparently worth 60 unusually well-armed and trained PDF shock troops. This more or less matches up with Rogal Dorn's quote of "Give me a hundred Space Marines, or failing that a thousand other troops".
Context: a couple hundred people started a riot down by the space port because they heard some unpleasant rumours and stories. Local law enforcement failed to inform the local Astartes garrison of the situation of the developing situation, but luckily, the Dark Angels garrison commander, Boreas (a Interrogator-Chaplain) was daydreaming whilst on patrol and was therefore uniquely placed to notice flames coming from the city. After making a few calls, he decided to head out and join the riot police currently on scene.
> 'If it gets any worse, we'll have to give the order to open fire.'
> 'No!' snapped Boreas with a glance at the security officers. 'There will be no unnecessary deaths. Allow me to assess the situation. I will inform you of further action to take.'
> He walked further down the street, and saw that the rioters had built barricades of burning carts and tyres. They were throwing chunks of masonry at the enforcers, and hurling flaming brands into the buildings either side of the street. The security men and women had formed a rough line across the main boulevard leading to the starport, preventing the rioters access to the area, which was also close to the Imperial palaces.
> Boreas stepped up behind the line and gazed over the heads of the enforcers at the rabble further down the street. Those just in front of him glanced over their shoulders, startled.
> There were some two hundred people in the mob, many carrying burning torches and improvised weapons of some kind. The street was filled with the cacophony of the riot, but Boreas's keen hearing could distinguish every sound. Their shrieks and shouts sounded over the crackling of the fires, the splintering of wood and the crash of breaking glass. He could smell the smoke from the fires, the sweat of bodies, the blood spilt in puddles across the street.
> The red splashes of uniforms stood out against the black rock of the road where injured enforcers lay, their comrades unable to rescue them in the teeth of the rioters' fury. Boreas pushed his way through the line, one of the enforcers stumbling to his knees as the burly Space Marine eased past.
> Boreas began to walk towards the rioting mob, as bricks and chunks of masonry splintered on the road around him. Within a few seconds, as the rioters caught sight of him, the rain of missiles faltered and then stopped; the shouting quietened and silenced. In a matter of moments, the Chaplain's sheer presence had quelled t

Welcome all to r/DoomMetal's weekly post where we invite everybody to share their opinions and stories about choice albums found throughout the land of doom.
This week, we got in touch with Keegan Kjeldsen, guitarist for Austin, TX based heshers Destroyer of Light, and asked him to pick this week's album. He did us the courtesy of writing out an excellent review, below. They just finished up playing Electric Funeral Fest, and Keegan did us the favor of submitting his review from the back of a tour van, so a big thanks to him for that.
Be sure to check out Destroyer of Light's new album, Chamber of Horrors coming out July 14.

My pick for album discussion: Earth - Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light, parts I & II
There are two major periods of Earth's career. In the 90s, Dylan Carlson would spend hours creating heroin-fueled, high volume drone jams with his roommate (some guy named Kurt Cobain). Carlson's brainchild, Earth, was born out of this period. Earth's early work was distorted, repetitive and deliberate in its sound, and so influential on the drone genre that Sunn O))) paid direct tribute to Carlson on the Grimmrobe Demos. After buying the gun for Kurt Cobain that he would eventually end his life with, both Carlson and Earth disappeared for a few years. When Earth returned with drummer Adrienne Davies, their style changed completely. Still firmly in the drone genre, melody took on greater importance, and Carlson began to draw on less conventional influences such as jazz, country and folk music.
The culmination of this stylistic change was the double album, Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light. The album was recorded in one session, but released in two parts, both records forming one long, sorrowful meditation. Carlson had been diagnosed with Hepatitis B and serious liver problems before the recording, and although he recovered afterward, he believed at the time that Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light could be the band's last album. Improvisation was central to the recording process, and while the riffs are drawn out as ever, the inclusion of cello and Carlson's dreamy guitar work breathe life into the cumbersome tracks.
Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light was the first Earth album that I seriously delved into. Whereas Earth's ea

Last night, I was watching only the clips of Angel of the darkness, and literally I'm so impressed with everything sounds, music, scenario, how they continue the story after Lara has been lost in Egypt and everything. In my way since I played the new versions of Tomb Raider 2013/ Rise / Shadow. I feel those ain't tomb raider and not related to the old one at all and the last real Tomb Raider was Underworld. Anything else is a new game using the name of Lara Croft and the brand Tomb Raider.
I admit that Hell is a little far fetched even for Indiana Jones, but I'm not saying I'm giving up either. I'd just like to have another writer on board to deal with the mythological aspects of it, such as how they get to Hell. I want it to have elements from all different religion's version of Hell, since multiple religions exist in the Indiana Jones universe, it would make sense. Obviously this is a freelance project, so you'd be doing this for free. It would still be nice to do something related to it, since the fifth movie isn't happening anytime soon. Anyone interested?
Here you are again,
Acting as if you're a Goddess of light.
Pulling me out of my darkest contempt.
When I fall into the abyss,
You bring me back just with a kiss.
The light you have helps you achieve
While the darkness in me trys to deceive.
I know you think you see something good.
Truth is it was more deceit.
I can see the tears form in your eyes
As I clip your wings I see red rain.
All I hear is songs of pain.
There's so much blood on my hands.
It hurts that no one understands.
That an angel of darkness is what I am.
I've broken you down and made you cripple.
My reflection is in your blood as it ripples away.
I have no remorse for you in my heart.
You were asking for this from the start.
You can't mend something that was never broken.
So many things that you will leave unspoken.
Why didn't you leave when you had the chance?
Now unfortunately you are doing death's dance.
You tried to save me with love that was spark lessβ¦
Now you look above to see the Angel of Darkness.

I've move much more into painting than playing anything recently, so I'm trying to thin out everything I have to not feel like I have so many projects. I also backed the Reaper Bones 4 Kickstarter some time ago, but those just aren't as nice to paint as a lot of the better miniature lines.
All prices listed already include US shipping. Prices are negotiable, especially when buying multiple items. I'll do big discounts for buying the Reaper stuff - up to 50% off the listed prices. Throw an offer my way and hopefully we can work something out.
For the Reaper Bones 4 Core set, I've split it up into each named category. The only ones without a category are the first set of items. All groups can be seen in this image - https://imgur.com/a/k21cybg
Here's all the stuff https://imgur.com/a/tUPeYCF

Those are the best examples of what i'm looking for beside Time for the moon night by Gfriend or Closer by OMG
I'd really like something more underrated then the typical Gfriend or Oh My Girl track though
God said, βI think Iβm going to call it a day.β
