A list of puns related to "American Gospel"
If you are unaware, the creators of the American Gospel Documentaries have their own streaming service full of good, biblical content. They have series shows, documentaries, sermons, lessons, and much more. You don't have to subscribe to be able to watch some of the content or access their tv or mobile app. I highly recommend it, especially if you're like me and can waste away your free time on the couch in front of the tv.
Has anyone seen the documentary on Netflix (was on Netflix two days ago it has now been removed)? I watched it on Sunday and I still have yet to pick my jaw up off the floor. I really wanna talk / hear other opinions of it since I am the only one in my friend group and family that has seen the documentary.
>TODD WHITE REPENTS OF NOT PREACHING THE WHOLE GOSPEL - 7/26/20
>As many of you know, Todd White called the βAmerican Gospel: Christ Aloneβ documentary βdemonically inspiredβ in a sermon posted in May 2020. This message was in response to some coordinated efforts by our team, Costi Hinn, and a friend of Toddβs to lovingly show Todd his false teaching compared to scripture through the film. After that video went viral, that original sermon was soon deleted from the Lifestyle Christianityβs page. Yesterday (7/26/20), Todd White live-streamed a message where he explained how he has gone through a season of painful pruning over the past months. You can watch this full message here: https://youtu.be/lK6_MNSqX2s
>βI am not perfect, but I am strongly convicted! I feel like I just met Jesus again! There's just this rekindled thing inside of me! This has been the hardest season of my life! I'm like, "Lord! What are you doing!?" He said "I'm pruning every branch that you have." I'm like, "It's not okay! It hurts! And he said, "If you were dead it wouldn't hurt!" βTodd White
>Todd explains that he has been reading Charles Spurgeon as well as Ray Comfort, and says it has taken 16 Years for him to realize the importance of preaching the law of God in order to show us our sin and our need of a savior.
>βHere's the deal. One day you and I are going to all face the Lord. It's the truth! Are you guys with me? Is this too much? I've been going through it buddy! I've been in a new place to bring the reality of the law into a witness, to show a person their need for grace. How can you want to be found if you don't know you're lost? How can you want to see if you don't know you're blind? How can you want to live if you don't know that you're dead?β βTodd White
>βI saw this when I got saved. And for some reason it's taken me 16 years to explain it! And I feel like I've just seen something complete brand new! What I won't ever do is take the miraculous out of the gospel! It's a miracle that I can come to Jesus through all my junk and all my sin and him say, "Not guilty!" That's a miracle!" βTodd White
>Todd even reads Ray Comfortβs parachute illustration, which explains how the βGod has wonderful plan for your lifeβ message fails to give the right motivation for coming to faith in Christ, since it ignores our sin and the holiness of God, and holds out false
