I had a really busy year or so, and I've spent the past few months catching up on my TV. I've now gotten to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., season 6. The twists and turns of the show have gotten kind of jumbled in my head. Is S.H.I.E.L.D. a government agency at this point? I know that at first they were, then the big Hydra reveal happened and they were basically a rogue organization for a while, but I kid of remember them clearing their name? And then they were in trouble again and hunted, but then...not? I'm kind of lost. But they seem to be pretty well-funded at this point. So are they government? If not, any clue as to how where they're getting all their resources?
