A list of puns related to "Advertising media selection"
Hi r/australia
Many times over the last few months/years we've had ongoing discussions on Gambling advertising in this country. It dominates free to air TV, Foxtel and has now worked it's way into twitch/esports, a direct market to teenagers and kids.
If gambling was to be regulated or banned, how far do you think it should go?
If it was regulated as opposed to banned, what kind of regulations would you like to see?
Do you think gambling apps should be banned entirely?
A month ago I submitted an e-petition to the Parliament of Australia website and today it got approved, if you do think Gambling should be banned or regulated in Australian media there is a petition below.

Below is an excerpt from the Australian Institute of Family Studies in regards to the impacts of gambling advertising,
>Advertising typically depicts gambling as an exciting, glamorous and attainable lifestyle promising easy financial and social rewards. Gambling is often portrayed as a routine, everyday activity and it is increasingly likened to sport
>
>Gambling advertising appears to have more impact on certain groups of people. Research has shown that youth have high exposure to gambling advertising and may be particularly influenced by it. Adolescents and children are aware of and can recall specific slogans and jingles and may feel they are being groomed to gamble. Further, research has revealed that advertisements can increase adolescents' desire to experiment with gambling and prompt a gambling session. Greater media exposure to gambling advertisements and promotions has also been associated with more positive youth gambling attitudes and intentions towards gambling.
>
>Online gamblers are also influenced by gambling advertising. One-tenth of Internet gamblers reported that marketing and promotions were critical to their initial uptake and 29% reported increased online gambling expenditure as a result of viewing promotions. However, this marketing has had less success in converting non-gamblers to gambling.
>
>Gambling advertising can have particularly negative impacts on problem gamblers. Compared to other gamblers, problem gamblers report gambling advertisements as being a greater stimulation to gamble, a larger influence on spending more than intended, and an encouragement to them to think they can win. Problem gamblers also report tha
Just today I've gotten four different Facebook ads for different companies all claiming to be going out of business and selling the same dice sets for too-good-to-be-true prices. They all have weirdly spelled names, have only existed for a few months, and have almost no other online presence. These are obviously scammers who won't ever actually send you the dice you paid for. Please be careful and watch out.
I've also seen a specific set of metal dice called "arcanum" being advertised by several different companies. Again, the price is too good to be true and there are other signs of shadyness. The real arcanum metal dice are only sold on Etsy and cost almost $200 for a set.
With the number of posts I'm reading about teachers who are quitting, were it a representative sample here on reddit, I would think it's the sign of a massive resignation wave that will really do great harm to education in the US over the next 5 - 10 - 20 years.
So, is the media missing a huge story? If so, why?
Or, is it selection bias because reddit?

From the NEW ON THE STREET About Us
"New To The Street is a television show that profiles public companies, advertises and markets their products and services, and provides business news."
Other highlights are:
" FMW Media is compensated by the companies that are profiled in the Program"
and
"Featured companies have prepared and/or approved all of the materials and information about such company that are discussed in a Program"
and
"The information and other content contained in any Program about a featured company has been provided by the featured company and Financial Media has not independently verified any of the information"
Whenever a new webevent pops up people are like "I am not doing MHYs job and go advertising". Yeah, I get you but you don't have to share a single thing anywhere to get the rewards.
Many of you guys do know this. I am aware. But I hope I still can inform some people who don't knew this before :)
Just like the title says, I'd really enjoy scrolling through my Instagram or looking through stories and not seeing this stuff. More than a few of my friends are doing OF now, I've got no problem with it, I'd just rather not see their sexually charged photos unexpectedly on their normal IG pages.
For example, one of my buddies mostly posts his poetry, everyday photos and life updates, then once a week or so, it's a photo of his nearly bare ass bent over with some sexually charged message with a link to his OF page.
Similarly, one of my best female friends and one of my fiancee's bff's will post photos/videos of her in lingerie to her stories. I'll just be going through all the stories absentmindedly when suddenly she shows up like that, and it's uncomfortable.
At the end of the day, I could obviously block them, but these are people I'd like to stay up to date on the lives of. I just wish they'd stick to advertising on their OF pages or on the separate insta accounts they made. How many of their friends are really going to become customers, and is that really a healthy business model?
Heyy !!

I would like to try out selling pet products online using social media only initially. I am located in a small country on eastern Europe and am planning on testing with a small batch of products on Instagram first and go from there.
How would you go about the advertising, getting followers on the IG account? Would you use TikTok and how?
Basically what I was thinking about was generating followers with meme content and useful information about pets and their health etc. Maybe advertising the account by collaborating with other accounts that I feel have the reach to my target audience. Maybe run some ads too.
I would love to hear your opinions on how you would go about it.
Hello everyone,
I think this app has an enormous potential, but it would have such bigger impact if more people would know it. I met so many people who would have downloaded it earlier but they just had never heard of an app like this.
So I hired a freelancer and told her I need a text to post on social media in order to make this app go viral. This is the result she delivered:
Would you like this pandemic to end as soon as possible and have your life return to normal? You can make it happen. Yes, you can help bring an earlier end to it by downloading a free app called DreamLab and letting it run overnight while you are sleeping. DreamLab is a mobile app that uses the processing power of its users' mobile phones during sleep to accelerate the data analysis for cancer and COVID research. Developed by Imperial College London and Garvan Institute of Medical Research, this app already has more than 200,000 users nightly.
How does this work? Sub-tasks are downloaded from a cloud for processing and are re-uploaded to the cloud upon completion. You can connect via Wi-Fi or choose how much data you wish to donate. It is a safe process that does not compromise the safety of your personal data. With every 100 users, the processing speed can triple!
Please take a minute to download DreamLab so you can also play a role in terminating this pandemic more quickly. Share this with your loved ones at the same time and ask them to download as well so you will be able to meet them sooner without worrying about the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/de/app/dreamlab/id1273619275?l=de
I thought you could post that on every online platform you know or maybe make this sort of a chain letter for messengers. Be creative!
Feel free to rewrite this text or contribute other ideas how we can spread this app!
Hiiii
I'm a photographer. The 4.5 years I've been in business, I've gotten about 90% of bookings thru Facebook.
Recently, fb is giving me major issues. My acct is restricted for a long time at the moment, giving me no access to advertise on my business pages.
I know it's fully my fault for depending so much on one platform... But does anyone have any suggestions? I have a website, email list, etc.. But it's not attracting new clients. I just got off leave from surgery recovery. I'm ready to work again and I'm feeling messy and depressy about it π
Where else can I advertise with good results? I mainly shoot Boudoir & Body Empowerment Portraits.
Helppp
CLAIM : Although many costumers believe that social media marketing and advertising are not powerful in helping small businesses, I claim that social media actually does help small businesses handle .
Hi all, So I am a recent college grad and I never interned anywhere so I have no first hand experience. However, I have an live case study interview for a digital marketing development program role next week.
I was hoping to make use of the free time over the holidays to brush up and learn more before this case study. All I know in regards to the case study is that it is quantitative in excel with a focus on CTR, CR, etc.)
If anyone knows of any free courses or online resources they think would set me up to succeed, I would appreciate it a ton as I am very excited about this role. Thank you!!
