A list of puns related to "Adobe Captivate"
Just a mini-rant sorry.
To do a simple calculation like x+y+z you have to do advanced actions and add x +y save in a variable then add that variable to y.
When I look at all their updates it's just adding new assets, but actual functionality is years behind!
I use the Adobe creative suite and Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator is simply awesome, why do they even bother with Captivate as it seems they really dont actually care about it.
The user interface looks like itβs from the 90s. The triggers are so hard to configure with advanced actions. everything about it sucks and there are not even good shapes, media assets. Itβs million times worst compared to storyline.
I'm trying to upload a SCORM package on Captivate, but every time i try to publish the screen goes white, and it says it's not responding. I was able to publish a package with one slide without any issues, and the same course without the quiz reporting without any issues. However, when I select the quiz reporting it runs into an issue trying to publish. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Side note: This is a course with a simulation and demo videos. I'm not sure if this is part of the problem. I know Captivate is a buggy and clunky program.
I am in the very, very early discovery stages of project planning, and am curious about how many hours may be needed for a possible LMS project. I hope to hire a contractor proficient in Captivate but cannot contact anyone until a projected budget is approved.
All our content is finalized and prepared in a PowerPoint/Google slides deck, averaging 30 slides per deck, two decks total. We're looking to have this built out in Adobe Captivate with minimal interactive features.
Initial internet research has not been helpful in guesstimating contractor time. Does anyone have an educated guess on how long a Captivate build might take when content creation is already complete?
Thanks for reading and for any suggestions/insight! I welcome any additional resources if someone has links to share.
I'm new to the field of E-learning and I got the chance to work on a project which requires using one of these applications. I will learn to use one of these and then I will apply on the project. So, I need to know which one is the better regarding Software Simulation and Interactive Videos?
Does anyone know of any new alternative software to Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate for creating interactive courses? I'm looking for something more recent, innovative, competent, user-friendly, and follows basic UX design modern convention. Maybe something released in the last ~3 years or so. Thanks!
I'm quite interested in this product, but I've literally been searching the web for about an hour but all I can find are either videos of Adobe Captivate in action, training courses about the software (but which don't actually use Captivate for the training course), and downloadable Captivate demo files/templates for which you need to have the software installed to use. It seems odd to me that I can't easily find any hosted examples of a working Captivate course - I just want a working online example I can actually interact with to get a feel for it from a learner perspective. I would have thought everyone thinking of trying this product out would want this as a first step before taking the next step of registering for a free trial and installing the software. I'm just wondering why is it so hard to find any examples, and does anyone have any working links they can share to a hosted demo course built with Captivate?
Thanks in advance for any recommendations or suggestions!
P.S., I know I could download and install the software with a free trial and then try downloading some demo courses but that is IMO an unreasonable investment of time and bandwidth when all I want to do is get a quick demo of the software functionality in action as a learner would experience it. If I'm happy with the experience then I will evaluate the software further.
Iβm wrapping up my thesis on programmed instruction and used Adobe Captivate as my authoring tool and Adobe Captivate Prime as my LMS for the study. I have some questions on individual learners reports that Adobe tech support was not helpful with answering and also if anyone knows how to terminate the agreement early. I had to buy a year but I donβt need a year, so any tips on how to terminate early would be appreciated!
I'm non-tenure-track in higher ed, looking into transitioning into ID. I see that Adobe Captivate is a desirable skill but it's expensive. I asked around in the ID department in my university and they said I should just stick with Panopto, which we have a license for, and that it does most of what Captivate does. Is this true? I kind of find Panopto terrible. Maybe it's just the package we have. We piloted but didn't adopt Studio and I liked it better.
I'm happy to pay for subscriptions and training if it helps me but so many programs are essentially interchangeable. It's frustrating.
Hello everyone! Iβm new to Adobe and want to purchase Adobe Captivate. I saw a discounted price for students. I was wondering if itβs a perpetual license or if itβs any different from the other licenses.
Itβs definitely expensive for me so I wanted to have more info before buying.
Thank you for your help!
Hey,
I work in a jobtraining agency for unemployed people and was wondering if Adobe Captivate Prime would be a good choice for such a scenario. It seems to me that it is catered towards L&D Specialists who work in HR
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share this post for all who have recently started working with Adobe Captivate. There are 7 videos that will help you understand the basic things, like how to get started, how to work with master slides, how to create various simple slides, and how you can publish a SCORM package.
I know that learning Captivate on your own is a bit challenging, so I hope these videos might help someone.

Let me know if you have encountered any problems with Captivate and I will try to help!
Hello. Using my real account here to share something that even the folks on this subReddit that don't like me should enjoy. Sharing for those who need access to something to build their skills. Also, you can earn access to their LMS too, another skill that is hard to develop without "experience".
Has anyone here taken the Captivate certificate offered through Adobe? I am thinking about enrolling this Fall and would love to hear from people who have taken the course and exam. Specifically, I am wondering if it helped any new grads or career changers (like myself) with the application and interview process?
