While the focus in the days leading up to the NFL draft is undoubtedly that year's picks and prospects, it is both fun and somewhat freeing to look back at an older draft class. It provides a nice break from prospect debates and allows you to wonder what would happen if the teams were given a chance to do the draft over again. It is also a good reminder of how past drafts could impact the decisions being made now based on the lessons we have learned over the years.
I've long said that you need five years to properly evaluate a draft class. Players can of course continue to develop and grow in the years that follow, but there is a large enough sample size to draw some conclusions. Any sooner, and you could end up with some player evaluations that are incomplete. Now that several of these prospects are in their late 20s and on (at least) their second contract, the picture becomes much clearer.
What a wild five years it has been for this 2016 group. This is one of the most interesting draft classes to re-examine because there are a pair of controversial quarterbacks amid a ton of talented players. Looking back, there is no question Dak Prescott should have been the first player selected, but where does that leave Carson Wentz and Jared Goff? Plus, how early should running backs like Ezekiel Elliott or Derrick Henry go given the shifting NFL landscape? These are the questions that make this exercise so fun and worthwhile.
A few housekeeping things here to help make sense of how I run this redraft. I undid any draft day trades that took place. The Rams and Eagles both moved up prior to the draft, so those deals will stay in place, but I have a feeling most teams would be uninterested in trading down if they knew how a player was going to perform and develop over the next five years. Additionally, I still heavily weighed positional value when making these selections. While Derrick Henry has been a much better player than Carson Wentz, Wentz' positional value is astronomically higher than Henry's. This is still about drafting the best players to build your roster, not playing fantasy football.
With all of that in mind, let's dive into this 2016 NFL redraft.
1. St. Louis Rams
Original pick: Jared Goff, QB, Cal
Redraft selection: Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
This is one that I'm sure the Rams wish they could do over. After trading Jared Goff away to acquire Matt Stafford in a deal that involved the Rams also having to part with two

Hi there, I'm /u/GraysonWH and welcome to the Houston Texans post for 32 Teams/32 Days. Before you start reading, I'd like to explain how I approached writing this with the Deshaun situation still up in the air. By now, everyone and their great aunt knows that the Texans organization is turning into a joke. Cal McNair has made some bad decisions and that has upset pretty much everyone. People in the organization, most fans, and some players are simply unhappy. Without getting too far into it, Watson has told the organization that he's done playing for Houston. Nick Caserio has said they won't be trading him. With that said, I tried to touch on both situations (having Watson or not) as they would obviously bring very different offseason plans.
*Some Texans players were released as I wrote this, so even though they aren't on the team now you'll still see information on them. I also covered some players who are Free Agents this offseason as I wanted to talk about how they played with Houston in 2020, their return to the team is still up in the air.*

I think Osbourne was the “Fourth man” rather than buckles. The end clips says he put his “close colleagues” in charge of the newly arranged AC departments.
Buckles was thrown in jail so nothing more would come of that, Jo was given witness protection and it was all brushed under the rug. Steve and Kate move on thinking they won and Hastings can happily retire.
All of it was finished and out in the open and it all looked like it was solved but in fact it was neatly tied up so Osbourne could continue to run the OCG with the corrupt officers at the head of AC while everyone thought the OCG was cracked down on and the corruption was gone!
If that’s what was intended they should have made it more obvious rather than a smirk on buckles face as the door closes and a summary sentence in the closing clips. Maybe a scene with Osbourne surrounded by his “close colleagues” like Carmichael, the DCC or whoever else is working with him.
I truly hope it isn’t buckles, but I definately don’t think it is. They’ve master crafted 6 seasons of this and they can’t just have the last season be a disappointment or a GoT ending. It couldn’t have been that utter moron running the same OCG that could intercept police transits the moment they were ordered.
Possibly why he was so intimidating towards Steve when his team killed the wrong guy in Season 1? He was worried that it would cause him problems with the media and the public which would prevent him climbing ranks where he could orchestrate the OCG better.
Edit 1: Didn’t buckles admit to being a go between? While he is trying to get witness protection so he wouldn’t lie. Credit to u/mrferguson91 for that.
Edit 2: Saw on another post, If he were in fact the main guy (which I am absolutely adamant he isn’t) why would he order Jo to plant incriminating evidence in his car if he is pulling the strings?
And why would he be shaking like a leaf while he witnesses Lakewell’s murder if he ordered it!
Edit 3: This is a bit out there and I don’t totally believe it but here goes: I saw some fan theories that explained why Carmichael might have been H. I believe it was Lakewell that told Steve to watch out for “race claim” which is an anagram of Carmichael without the H. And she kept tapping her pen 4 times during the interview in ep6, just like dot did as he died, while giving a look as if to tell Jo to stop talking. Again this totally out there and I don’t think it has anything to do with the main idea of the post but if anyone can

(Contracts are based on the cap hit for just 2021, not the full contract just to give context, anything that is unclear please let me know and any spots of discussion I'm happy to explain).
QB
SIGNED
DESHAUN WATSON- 5 years, $15.94m (2024 opt out)
JOSH MCCOWN- 1 year, $1.08m
UFA
A.J. MCCARRON
Well this is already a mess. In a regular situation, you would look at the contract and the talent and be very happy in this position. It seems that the Texans still see that, but you have the slight issue of Watson not wanting to play for you. If Watson isn’t traded and he refuses to play, then you have Josh McCown, a guy that was interviewed for the HC role, as your starting QB.
RB/FB
SIGNED
DAVID JOHNSON- 1 year, $8.81m
BUDDY HOWELL- 1 year, $1.46m
DONTRELL HILLIARD- 1 year, $1.22m
SCOTTIE PHILLIPS- 1 year, $780k
FB. CULLEN GILLASPIA- 2 years, $876k
At least you have David Johnson. That’s about all that can be said, and the less said about ‘that’ trade, the better. Johnson certainly isn’t the back he once was, but he still isn’t bad either. The depth certainly sees a steep drop in talent, but at the moment, running back is the least of your worries.
WR
SIGNED
BRANDIN COOKS- 3 years, $12m (2021 opt out)
RANDALL COBB- 2 years, $10.48m (2022 opt out)
KEKE COUTEE- 1 year, $1.1m
CHAD HANSEN- 1 year, $850k
STEVEN MITCHELL JR- 1 year, $850k
DAMION RATLEY- 1 year, $920k
ISAIAH COULTER- 3 years, $853k
UFA
WILL FULLER V
Cooks has always been a strange one to me. He’s been good wherever he’s been, but always ends up getting traded. With how things are going in Houston they’ll probably cut him (that’s a joke, please don’t do that). Cobb is reliable and if you could bring back Fuller then that’s a good 3, but I doubt Fuller would come back. Even your fill in players aren’t bad in the likes of Coutee, Hansen and Ratley.
TE

JORDAN AKINS- 1 year, $2.37m

I don’t mind Akins and Fells remaining as the TE’s for the team. Akins isn’t the most consistent with his catching, and Fells is up there in age, but lets get one more year out of them both and see how they do. Warring has struggled with injuries since he was drafted
... keep reading on reddit ➡The Giants have had picks in the top six of Dave Gettleman’s three drafts as general manager. That’s “gold jacket” territory, where Gettleman expects to land a Hall of Fame-caliber player.
Expectations may be tempered this year, however, with the Giants holding the 11th pick. The Giants should still expect an impact player at No. 11, but the ceiling is a bit lower.
The Giants have had three picks in this range over the past eight years. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the 12th pick in the 2014 draft, was on a Hall of Fame track before his career was derailed by injuries. Meanwhile, tackle Ereck Flowers (No. 9 in 2015) and cornerback Eli Apple (No. 10 in 2016) were major disappointments.
The last time the Giants had the 11th pick, they took Wisconsin running back Ron Dayne in 2000. The Heisman Trophy winner was a major bust. Before that, the Giants last had the 11th pick in 1952 when they selected Hall of Fame halfback Frank Gifford.
So what type of player can the Giants expect at No. 11 this year? Here’s a review of the 11th picks in the past 10 drafts, as well as the selections at each of the Giants’ five other picks:
Pick 11 (Round 1)
2020: OT Mekhi Becton, Jets
2019: OT Jonah Williams, Bengals
2018: S Minkah Fitzpatrick, Dolphins
2017: CB Marshon Lattimore, Saints
2016: CB Vernon Hargreaves, Buccaneers
2015: CB Trae Waynes, Vikings
2014: OT Taylor Lewan, Titans
2013: OT DJ Fluker, Chargers
2012: DT Dontari Poe, Chiefs
2011: DE JJ Watt, Texans
Recent history suggests the Giants should land a stud with the 11th pick. At the very least, the position hasn’t produced any outright busts (Williams and Hargreaves have disappointed). Fitzpatrick, Lattimore, Lewan and Poe have all made multiple Pro Bowls, while Watt is a three-time defensive player of the year.
Defensive backs and offensive linemen have dominated this draft slot in recent years. Both positions could be targeted by the Giants, with Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain II, South Carolina cornerback Jaycee Horn and Northwestern tackle Rashawn Slater projected to get picked in this range.
Wide receiver is another option for the Giants at No. 11. The last receiver picked in that slot was Hall of Famer Michael Irvin in 1988. The 11th pick produced some big stars in the 2000s: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, defensive end DeMarcus Ware, defensive end Dwight Freeney and linebacker Patrick Willis.
Pick 42 (Round 2)
2020: WR La
... keep reading on reddit ➡Hello,
I made the decision to start getting way more intentional with my finances a little over a year ago. I started off investing primarily in individual stocks and have averaged around a 60-80% return over the past year and a bit. But from all the books, blogs and articles I’ve read and videos I’ve watched, the experts seem pretty unanimously adamant that it’s virtually impossible to effectively beat the market over an investing lifetime and that a high savings rate with the majority of it used for regular deposits into a good low cost index fund is the best strategy. So I acknowledge that my success with stock picking so far is probably largely due to beginners’ luck and being in the right place at the right time. With all this in mind, I’m now ready to start focusing the majority of my portfolio on low cost funds.
I started off using Revolut for individual stock picks and later found T212 to be the superior option so most of my investing in individual stocks has been in T212. One of the first personal finance books I read was “How to Own the World” by Andrew Craig. While at that point I was still primarily focused on individual stocks, the book inspired me to set up a H&L S&S ISA. I first went ahead with the funds the site recommended after answering a few questions and I’ve been making automated monthly contributions plus extra whenever I get a windfall/surplus. The funds have been doing well, but as I’ve been learning a lot more about funds and indexing in the last few months, I’ve made some necessary adjustments to fine tune it. However, I’m not happy with the 0.45% platform fee and while I like the idea of switching to a Vanguard S&S ISA, I don’t like the fact that my individual stocks are not in a S&S ISA. So I think I want my stocks and shares ISA to be with Trading212 instead of Hargreaves & Lansdown.
I’m already maxing out my pretax pension contributions in a low cost global index. So for my S&S ISA contributions, I’d really like to focus on a US index. I see that T212 offers Vanguard ETFs for this (like VUAG and VUSA), but it offers very little info.
Huge thank you to anyone who’s read this far. Any answers I could get to the following questions would be massively appreciated:
What’s the best way of transferring my S&S ISA from H&L to T212 without incurring fees?
Is the only difference between VUAG and VUSA that VUSA’s not an accumulator?
Is investing in a Vanguard ETF like VUAG via T212 the same as

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"

I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"

He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.
