A list of puns related to "Aaron Abrams"
In the NYTimes article by Jonathan Abrams announcing Andre Igoudala re-signing with the Warriors & interviewing him on returning to the bay, there were some notable quotes like the one mentioned in the title.
> Golden State and Miami represented opposing basketball philosophies that led to both fielding competitive teams.
> โYou had a lot of veteran guys who knew how to get their work in and everyone could go out there on their own pace,โ Iguodala said of his run in Golden State. โIt was kind of just all-inviting vibes, where it was carefree, relaxing and it was kind of like Hawaiian-type vibes.โ
> Not so much in Miami.
> โIt was the other end of the spectrum, where it was ultra-focused,โ he said. โWe had a drill called Hunger Games, where it was exactly what it sounds like from the movie โ when youโre talking about to the death. Thatโs when I learned to appreciate different approaches.โ
> Iguodala returns to an organization hoping to recapture its magic with a familiar, yet older core.
> Iguodala said he is looking forward to mentoring the teamโs younger players like the veterans Kevin Ollie and Aaron McKie did for him when he entered the league โ a component he feels is often overlooked โ and using the โmilitaristic, kind of Navy seal approachโ he learned in Miami.
>โThe way that they develop their younger players in making sure they have the proper approach to how theyโre doing their job is second to none and I really appreciated that,โ Iguodala said, โbecause thereโs a fine line between your superstar and your eighth, ninth guy coming off the bench and all of our guys were always ready.โ
> The last couple of years, Iguodala continued debating and discussing basketball philosophy with Green. He talked life and golf with Curry, appreciating how he built his brand. He plans to ride on Thompsonโs boat to a practice or two. โIโm looking forward to that, actually,โ he said.
>โWho would have thought Iโd have the opportunity to go back to the place where I was able to have, whatever you want to call it, legacy years, in terms of the accomplishments, winning multiple championships, the relat

Hello strangers! I am not part of this sub, but I was told you could lend me a hand!
Today I found out I will have a baby boy! Iโve been aiming for the initials to be AJ, with a middle name of Jace (the hill I will die on) but my husband keeps shutting down all my A name suggestions! Please help!
Names that have been shot down include: Anthony Anakin Alec Alexander August Andrew
Trying to avoid unisex names because I did not enjoy growing up with one.
Hi namenerds! I heard you like a challenge so Iโm hoping some of you would be willing to entertain our pretty specific requirements in our hunt for a name for our baby boy. It feels like we have ruled out so many things that there is nothing left, but Iโm sure the perfect name is out there somewhere! This will be our second child, arriving in the summer. Here is some info about what is important to us. Any suggestions appreciated!
We are English speakers but not keen on British โroyaltyโ names (eg no to Edward, William)
No โBible-yโ names; I hesitate to say biblical because we are open to Old Testament names, but itโs a no to names like Joshua, Matthew
We are Ashkenazi Jews and open to Hebrew names as long as they are recognizable by English speakers
No โmodernโ/made-up names
Prefer a name that is also a word or has an obvious/known meaning (eg donโt have to Google it to find out what it means)
Nature theme would be nice but is not make-or-break. Other themes that suit our family: music, art, architecture, science
Bonus points if third letter is an R as this is a family tradition for either the first or second name
Our daughterโs name is Rose, which was both my great-grandmotherโs and my husbandโs great grandmotherโs name. Her second name is 2 syllables with third letter R
Our last name is one syllable and sounds like Ply
ETA tysm for all the suggestions! Definitely some contenders!
Which are your favorites/least favorites? I will put an asterisk next to my favorites, and a dash next to my least favorites.
These would be more traditional names of older Amish people, opposed to the younger generations. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the Amish community! I could also compose a list of common Amish surnames if anyone was interested.

Hello Debate a Catholic,
Yesterday, u/luvintheride made a post in this sub, linked here:
In this post, LuvinTheRide argues that Catholics should reject Evolution Darwinism & Evolution. My post here is not a rebuttal to LuvinTheRideโs post, since I already engaged with Luvin in the comments. However, in other comments to other repliers, Luvin left a source from a Catholic organization called the โKolbe Centerโ:
https://www.kolbecenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Genetic-Entropy-Recorded-in-the-Bible.pdf
Link to the website for the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation, which calls itself "A catholic apostolate dedicated to proclaimng the truth about the origins of man and the universe": https://www.kolbecenter.org/
This source argues that the ages listed in the Old Testament are literal, and the Kolbe Center argues for a Young Earth Creationist view. Funnily enough, I attended โKolbe Immaculata Preparatory Schoolโ as a kid for first through eighth grades, an FSSP school. Although Kolbe Prep doesnโt appear to be affiliated with the Kolbe Center, I was curious and so I read this source in its entirety. This source is so unscientific that I decided to dedicate an entire post to objections to the claims made within. I would love to hear the opinions of the folks in this sub. Obviously Catholics are allowed to accept or reject evolution, so I suspect that many (most?) of the Catholics in this sub might actually agree with me, but obviously Luvin does not, and I wonder if some of you might want to raise objections to my objections. So, without further ado:
The Kolbe Center argues that Noah truly lived until the age of 950, and that his descendants experienced โrapid degenerative process[es]โ which resulted in the massive decline in life expectancy. They supply the following data:

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
