A list of puns related to "AMF Bowling"
Last I had heard 900 Global owned the AMF bowling ball brand (or at least had licensed it) and had decided to mothball new balls under that brand. Just curious if anyone had heard if anything has changed now 900 is poured in Utah? Might be neat to see some of those old AMF cores poured by Storm. A re-release of XS Bone but with a modern cover would be great lol.
Wanting to go from my birthday, but neither place are answering their phones.
UNCC Faculty/Staff/Student Family is invited to come out to enjoy friendly competition, epic fun on the lanes, and a host of other perks that AMF University Lanes has to offer. You can bowl for free. Look forward to seeing everyone out there tonight. Sorry for the late invite. Thanks and have a great day.
Title. I'm a 28 year old male who enjoys bowling, my high is 256, and I averaged 178 for a league once but havent played consistently in about a year just looking to get back into it if anyone is interested.
Anyone else feel as though their town is slowly becoming less fun?
Hi guys! We have decided that we'll go for Friday 07.20.18 based on the poll post. Also wanted to give a heads up that there will be more meetups at other times so we can accommodate those who aren't available nights or weekends. We are thinking a future bar/restaurant meetup. We aren't sure yet so let us know where you think our next event should be! :)
The time has come for AMF Bowling with /u/AMFing 2: Electric Boogaloo. Lovingly crafted for my fellow Hills Districtians (and anyone else who is willing and able to make the trek out).
Same plan as last time. Get there at 7pm to take advantage of $21.90 unlimited bowling including shoe hire. Works out to be only $7.30 per game if you play three games!
When: 7pm, Thursday 16 February, 2017 until 10:30pm or when you get tired (whichever is earlier).
Where: AMF Castle Hill, 3 Salisbury Road, Castle Hill NSW 2154. Public transport is terrible so the only realistic way to get there is to drive or arrange for a lift there.
Pricing: $21.90 for unlimited bowling and shoe hire. Food and other games optional.
What can I expect? Awesome bowling, mesmerising competition and friendly company. Yes, those adjectives were chosen on purpose.
How can I find you? I will be wearing the same red Rick & Morty shirt from the last bowling meetup. If you have difficulty finding me, drop me an inbox. I can provide my mobile number on request.
May I drink at this meetup? My intention is for this meetup to be non-drinking. I respectfully request that you choose not to drink at this meetup. If you are looking for that kind of action, check out the redoubtable Rougey's Bear Bar Casual Tuesdays (next one is on Tuesday 21 February].
Hope to see you there! If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to let me know.
/u/henry82, /u/sydneytom, as always, it would be very much appreciated if you could sidebar this event.
Hey guys,
As mentioned in the Sydney Daily Discussion Thread, I'd like to propose a meetup at AMF Bowling, North Strathfield. Terrible bowlers are welcome. I myself am terrible at bowling, despite being /u/AMFing.
I was thinking Thursday the 13th October, 7pm (because you can get the unlimited bowling deal, I believe). If a different date/time works better for everyone, let me know.
There's also laser tag which we can play if there's enough interest.
Edit: For ease of group identification, could everyone can strive to wear something red. I will be wearing a red shirt. If you still cannot locate the group on the night, please send me a PM.
We're in the room with the pool tables!!!*
Iβve recently applied to a league in my area. Does anyone know what the monthly dues or maybe one time charges are for joining a league at AMF? Is it the same price at any of the AMF branches or does it vary by location or team?
I'm a 23 year old guy with no friends, no degree, and no job. My only long term goal right now is to eventually graduate from college, although I still don't know what I would major in. I truly love academics though, so I would always regret it if I don't go to a four year university. I've done some community college classes on-and-off and have signed up to take an online class this coming semester.
I've been held back in a lot of ways by both depression and social anxiety. And aside from a brief period a few years ago, in which I stayed with some relatives, I've never lived away from home. I've decided that, despite the daunting financial challenges, I'll be moving out sometime in early 2017. Since I don't have any friends, I'll probably have to room with strangers. And it would definitely help to have a job that pays well - preferably $10 an hour or more. The cost of living in my area is quite high. I'd like to only work around thirty hours a week, so that I can also focus on college - but I'll need decent income to make that happen.
Especially considering my social anxiety and depression, I'd really like to find an easy and engaging job that wouldn't be too draining or require much interaction with co-workers and customers. I realize however, that such a job is practically a mythic ideal. Any job that I find is sure to be a significant challenge for me - but it would certainly be nice if I could find a job that isn't too physically or emotionally draining.
I've tried applying to a few different places, but haven't had any luck so far. It seems that December is one of the worst times of year to go job searching. That said, a nearby AMF Lanes bowling alley is currently hiring. It would be a bit of a commute, but not unmanageable - and since I plan on moving anyway, I could probably find a more nearby apartment eventually.
This wouldn't be my first job - most recently, I worked at CVS (for just shy of a year), both in the retail section of the store and in the pharmacy. It was a decent job, but certainly not easy. I made a lot of mistakes and wouldn't consider myself a fast learner, or even the most enthusiastic worker, but overall, my manager seemed to be pretty impressed with my job performance.
Has anyone here actually worked for an AMF Lanes, or any bowling alley in general? If so, I'd love to hear about your experiences in the job. I'm not a very regular bowler, but I don't expect that employees have to be particularly good or knowledgeable about
... keep reading on reddit β‘Since there was some interest last week even though I posted late in the afternoon, I figure we'll try this again, with better notice.
Some friends and I are going bowling later and we're opening it up to complete strangers and redditors with whom we're already acquainted, because why not? So, PM or reply if interested. Special of the day is college night: all you can bowl from 9 -midnight for like $8 or something, includes shoes. If you don't have a college ID, apparently one of the other attendees can designate you as a +1 and get you the same rate.
I'm planning on getting there around 9:30, so if you're up for a few games and, likely, a few brews, let me know and come on out.
