Questions about CS A220, A150, and A250

1.) What is A150 and A250 like in terms of difficulty? Are there any other pre-reqs for them?

2.) Is CS A220 a coding class? If so, which language?

New addition and I dig them. Kef C35 circa 1985. First generation with the Uni Q drivers. I’m impressed with the bass these guys put out and the highs are smooth as silk. Driving them with a Mondial Acurus A150 amp. A nice combo I’m finding.

My main system right now. Just found a Mint condition Nikko preAmp to drive my Mondial Acurus A150 power amp. Im a mix of new and old. Budget sysytem that sounds fabuolous. ALways looking for that high end older stuff. Some tube action, both amp and a Yaqin buffer that feeds the Acusus solid state.

Audix A150 Review: Better DT-770s

https://audixusa.com/products/a150/

Review of Audix A150 studio monitor headphones- note I am not a sound engineer but 10/10 for critical listening and 10/10 for casual listening.

Closed back 6xx with better bass, and sound stage.

Pros- Great sound stage for being closed back Amazing texture across lows, mids, and highs Deep, rumbly, slightly punchy, well represent bass without being overwhelming High notes feel more open than some open back headphones I own. Holy shit the Darth Maul score from the first star wars movie melts my brain with these cans. There is so much going on. And Genesis by Justice, I had never noticed the quick snare click track at the start of the song starting from your right ear. These cans got detail for sure. Very comfy for my ears. Ear pads are nicer than dekoni pads.

Cons- Sound wise honestly dont really have any. These just barely edge out the MMX300s for best closed back I own. Ear pads are on the small side, but deform very easily should fit all ears. Headband needs more padding. Build is all plastic, I dont think it would break if I dropped it. But I am definitely going to be more careful with these than my DT-770s.

Conclusion: On par with the 6xx in terms on mid and high clarity. But has better bass. Seems like a complete improvement from a DT-770 for half the cost of a DT-1770. If you want an upgrade from the DT Its like if the Dt-770 and the 6xx had a kid that would surpass the legacy of either parent.

Have a A150 manual transmission as a rental... How do you shift into reverse?

I have an A150 rental, I can't figure out how to shift into reverse. The shifter knob has no buttons/levers. The pattern shows far left/down, but that put it in 2nd gear. I feel like I'm doing something stupid, or I don't know the trick. The car's owners manual is missing and all the owners manuals I can find online are for automatic transmission only.

Amplifier for HTPC->Boston Acoustic A150s

Currently, my setup is a PC running into an early 80's Denon receiver powering a pair of lovely Boston Acoustic A150s.
My budget is about 1500 Israeli Shekels (I'm in Israel, obviously), which is about 450$, but I can stretch to 2000 (~500$). Due to shipping+associated costs Amazon isn't really relevant, will most likely be buying locally. Prices seem to be about 75%-100% higher than in the US, for reference. I'm fine with buying second hand.
The system serves as much for music as movies and games, in city apartment living rooms (not big, usually ~4x4x4m, give or take).
The A150s are new, and a massive improvement on my old set (first gen Bose Acoustimass), but I feel like, especially with games and movies, they've really shown the limitations of the setup powering them. The receiver being on its last legs (I've had it since high school, so it has not always been perfectly cared for) doesn't help, but I also feel like running an aux cable from my pc's headphone out likely doesn't either. Music sounds great, though it feels a little lifeless and cold, sometimes.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to upgrade this set up. I know I want a better DAC than the one built into my PC's mobo, but I'm not sure if I'd be better served by an amp containing one or by getting a good all analog amp and running an HDMI extractor/some sort of USB DAC.

TL;DR: If you were looking to connect a PC to a pair of A150s for music as well as gaming/movies, how would you go about it?

MB A150 - Hoping for lucky advice after a really bad turn.

Hi folks,

I'm not entirely sure this would be the right place for this, but I'm deperately hoping for some help.

I'm autistic, and apologize if I ramble, I'm trying to explain the best I can.

I had my old car for a few years, but on account of my condition, I was a very nervous driver. It was a manual, and I can't concentrate very well, meaning I was doing it an injustice with gears, particularly on roundabouts where I would go around the entire thing in second... the roundabouts are big near me. So, having been saving a bit I decided to get an automatic when the car started having issues. It's always been what I wanted, I've just never been in position for it. So I checked online (rather I had help to do it) and found a beautiful A150. It was the only thing automatic anywhere near what I could afford, so I went for it. Obviously this caused some issues in lockdown. I needed to get up to it (40 miles) and could only do a short test drive. The car was practically empty of fuel, and driving around I had to follow the sellers instructions as I didn't know the area. This was not a long a long test, however everything seemed fine, and I was advised it was a good buy, so I took it.

My issues started almost immediately. The SRS light came on - it hadn't triggered while someone else was in the car. I got the car fuelled and left the city. Soon as I got to the motorway the message came up "Transmission Error - visit workshop". Well, crap. I barely got above 50 the whole drive (I was off the motorway, was a 60 limit).
So, I got home, and messaged seller. They claimed it was fine, and it mut have been me. Nothing I can do. So I called garage next day. They said it's an automatic, nothing they can do - recomended another garage, bck 40 miles again. But they were already closed for weekend (this was Thursday?). So I had to wait.
Monday comes, I call the garage, and they say they need the error codes, so I need to arrange with another garage - that took 10 days for first appointment. The garage was great, gave me the error codes, no diagnostic fee, but advised they couldn't do anything about it. Would need to contact MB.

That part was fine, contacted them, and got a booking made - again, over a week wait, but in fairness, these are trying times. They would need to get diag codes - they wouldn't accept what the other garage had done, and then advise, so ok. Made the booking.

The Friday before I had to go collect my daughter, but as I was driving, 2 miles out of

IJN A150 Super Yamato BB TX

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_A-150_battleship

Searched the site and only saw a few posts on this >1 year ago. I'm sure there are others.

Normally, I would have ignored this. IJN has a great T10 BB, why add another that was never even made?

But wows is now adding numerous alternative lines and sister ships to existing ones. So it's not unthinkable that the granddaddy of BBs gets its own paper BB. For the record, I own Yamato and Musashi and enjoy them.

I see the A10 being almost exactly like the upcoming Kremlin and Slava. IJN can have one brawling and one long range T10 BB. Clearly the Yamato is designed for sniping, no matter how much your team wants to you move up and expose your citadel and 52.5 second rotation guns (with Legendary).

I think the A150 could be like the RU BBs. Crazy armor. Crazy tanky. Few guns. Low ROF. Good secondaries. Good AA. Tremendous alpha. Low DPM.

I think having a BB being able to push caps fer realz, and not just die or get lol burned down would be interesting. Kremlin can push. It has low (for a TX BB) max range and poor accuracy at long range. But it does great.

I think going more extreme would be interesting. The weakness is low DPM. If it sits broadside at 5KM to a Kremlin and trades shots back and forth, it should lose. If it sits at 20KM and trades shots back and forth with a Yamato it should lose.

We have the Super Cruisers with lotsa health and big guns and CA->BB accuracy and relatively low DPM. But they're still scary because they're hard to put down, have decent tricks, and can alpha.

Take a turret off the Yammy, buff the armor, secondaries, AA, give it a BIT more maneuverability and a BIT more punch with existing cannons that goes squirrelly at longer range because of drag and tofu and balance.

Would it have a place in the game? I think so. I'd be interested. I enjoy the Kremlin. I enjoy the Alaska and Kronstadt. How well a face tanker can tank in the land of torps is a question, however. And having super guns with low DPM when all the enemy BBs are at 22KM loling at you is another question.

What do you all think? Brawly Yamato similar to Kremlin.

Need to go from a150 to 155/160 in 4 weeks, doable?

Hey, everyone, I'll be sitting for my first test this January under disability accommodations due to a broken hand. Im currently pting at an average of about 149/150. Examples: PTJ07 Diagnostic :145,PT36:150 BR:162,PT40:153,BR:160 PT42:151 BR;159, PT50:152 BR:162. My goal realistically is around a155 or a 55 yet my highest pt has only been a 153. My first PT was 11/19, since then I've made a +7 (LSAT Test Analytics page.)Is this doable? I plan to revisit the CC fundamentals on LR & LG, while drilling timed LR and LG sections my worst two imo, lastly I've also started working with a tutor Friday. Does anyone have any advice for me to help me increase my score?

Lastly, I'm writing an addendum due to a life-threatening injury which required 5 major surgeries. Would it be worth noting an effect on my score if it is relatively low?

LR: Average -11.3, Best -8. Worst -15

LG: Average -9.3, Best -7, Worst -11

RC: Average -11.7, Best -9, Worst -16
