A list of puns related to "50 Kilometres Walk"
https://imgur.com/a/JneAGgN Itβs really hard to walk 50 kilometres round get now but when you do this is what it feels like
I wrote an essay about my experience walking 10,000 kilometres last year. I figured it'd be of interest to my fellow walkers in this community.
(Not sure weather to flair this with Disappearance or Other Crime. I am doing two write up's in one day because this case interested me greatly and I currently am studying and self teaching myself Japanese)
It was 10:45 AM on July 2, 2002. A limited express Shinkansen (Bullet Train) passed through Kobe's Sumiyoshi Station. Sumiyoshi Station was not a stop that was meant to be made and drove passed it at nearly 100 kilometres per hour. One passenger on this train was described as being dressed in red clothing suddenly without warning and to the shock of passengers was seen having jumped off the speeding train and collided with the metal fence. Even more shocking though is how he stood up and walked towards the stations ticket gate and once he entered was never seen again.
Once the train came to a stop the police conducted a search for this man and sought to arrest him for violating the Railway Business Act of Japan. The police however didn't quite no where to start and found this case to be bizzare with one of the officers in charge saying "γγγͺγιδΈδΈθ»γγ―θγγγγ¨γγͺγ" which in English roughly means "Never have I heard of such a stop-off" They searched the immediate area and checked nearby hospitals for any patients with the injuries likely to be expected from such an incident but came back empty handed.
As the windows of such trains don't open this unknown man likely jumped from the carriage coupling. The officer in charge of this investigation gave another quote "ζ°εΏ«ιγγι£γ³ιγγ¦ε€§γγͺγγγγͺγγͺγγ¦β¦γγγΉγγͺγΌγ " which in English is roughly "He jumped off of a speeding bullet train and suffered no severe injuries...It's quite the mystery."
Said mystery would only grow more baffling during the police's inspection of the area when they discovered just how hard he had landed. On the platform of the station is a metal fence and this man had collided with the fence with such force that he actually bent it. In fact he bent it so badly that it remained that way several years later and is possibly still like that to this day. However not only did he just bend the fence. As seen here he even shattered or broke it in some parts. This would kill or severely injure most people but as mentioned he just stood up and left. The fence was metal spefically steel and the platform was concrete so there couldn't of been anything soft for him to break his fall on.

A few days before Canadian Thanksgiving, on 6th October 2006, Leslie Conrad's brother filed a missing persons report after other family members reported she was not home when they returned to their residence on 5th October. Her husband, Kevin Conrad, said she went for a walk and never came home.
The search began but turned up nothing until 22nd November 2006, when a hunter discovered human remains by chance near Melanson Road, around eight kilometres south of 45-year-old Leslie's home. The remains were found on land that belonged to her in-laws and were positively identified as Leslie's.
At the time, forensic testing wasn't advanced enough to pinpoint the time of the mother of four's death. Later tests revealed she had died within hours of her disappearance on 5th October.
Leslie's husband, Kevin, was arrested in connection with her murder in May 2007, but he was later released without charges.
In a 2017 interview, one of Leslie's children, Leah (the eldest daughter), spoke about Leslie's disappearance and commented:
"I went to school as usual. I was at Kingstec at the time... looking back, I wish I had of known that was going to be the last time that I would ever see her. I just try to be the best person that I can be and hope that she sees me and is proud of the person that I am and the person that I will become.β
Leslie's younger daughter, Lacey, said:
"I remember gardening with her β she always had the most beautiful flowers β and spending hours out there weeding, and planting. That was always really fun to do."
Since Leslie's death, her family members have distributed flyers across the province. In 2019, they hung posters all across the Annapolis Valley with the aim of encouraging someone to come forward. A police officer who has been involved in the case since it began said:
βAs time passes, people change in their relationships, their way of living has changed, and because of that, maybe this is the day or this is the time now where theyβll feel more comfortable coming to police and providing information that may assist us."
Leslie's children continue to campaign for justice for their mother. Although still unsolved at this time, law enforcement has confirmed that th

Some things to know:
- Most I've walked in a single day is 65 kilometres (40 miles).
- Average about 100 kilometers walked in a week.
- Pace is slightly less than 5 km/hr
- The walk is expected to take 17-18 hours.
- All walks are done without eating anything.
A friend of mine is agreeing to sell his well maintained gs 300. It surprisingly has 50,000 kilometres on it. The previous owner had apparently bought it new in his late 70s and it was sold to my friend after his passing. The car is priced at 9000 AUD and is much cheaper than any gs 300 on the Australian market. And is in a similar price bracket to 2006-10 honda civics which I'm also considering. My main concern is that despite being a low mileage variant it is quite an old car. What is the likelihood of these cars going bad?
Is it worth the buy? And if so, what are some areas to inspect before buying?
Update for those who replied: In the end, I didn't end up purchasing the car and instead went with a 2008 Toyota Aurion Sportivo. It has more power and drives better in my opinion so that's a win. Thank you all for your responses though : )
