How can someone be so callous about ruining someone's future? And over such a small thing too? Like I understand that she probably believes that she's preventing crime and making the world safer or whatever, but I just can't stop thinking about it and it just makes me so incredibly angry and sad.
I'm glad that the guy seems to have moved on, but to think that there are hundreds (perhaps even thousands) of other people out there that have had their lives torn apart by something so trivial is unfathomable to me. Thoughts?

In the song "One School", Naomi's lyrics are

It seems straightforward enough in meaning:
- Kids need to learn consequences, AND
- if Naomi's doing her job right, she's making a school safer.
But I don't think so. The line cut also makes it mean:
- Kids need to learn consequences about the job she's doing (like she's threatening), AND
- If (and only IF) she's doing it right, life can be safer one school at a time
