... keep reading on reddit β‘The Ashes 2017-18 in down under has many young and inexperienced players in both the teams, many playing in Australia and in an Ashes series for the first time during their brief careers, with only Smith, Warner and Lyon being the surviving members of 2013-14 team's clinical 5-0 whitewash of the stronger and more experienced English side who had won three back to back Ashes. Cook, Anderson, Broad, Root, YJB, Stokes, Finn and Ballance are the players English team still retain from the 2013-14 series.
Who would have thought that Johnson was going to be unplayable, only to emerge as the world's most dangerous bowler, the long wait finally over, Lillee's prophecy of him as "once in nine lives bowler" realizing much later than expected, brief sparks of brilliance translating into a series of great performances. Like his whole career before that, it only lasted for 8 tests, including the 3 tests against South Africa away from home, it produced 59 scalps of two superior teams consisting of many of the world's best batsmen at the time.
David Warner, Lyon and Smith all have grown as players since then, all three of them making vital contributions as the young members of unit led by Clarke and Haddin in the whitewash, particularly Warner with his aggression at the top, and the latter has, to everyone's surprise, gone on to become the world's best test batsman. Root and YJB didn't have the best of series, while former is challenging Smith's position at the top, the latter is a smart accumulator and the chief achitect of England's notorious Batdeepβ’ syndrome. Ben Stokes, the rare breed, who was praised by his opponents for the fight he displayed with both bat and ball during his debut series, is now the most exciting player to watch in world cricket, particularly in the longest format.
Who is it going to be this time around? There are many contenders since there are many talented young players, particularly in the bowling department. Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins, Woakes would surely be licking their lips to leave a mark in this upcoming series by their individual brilliance. Renshaw, Handscombe, Stoneman, Vince may surprise everyone like Warner, Smith and Root did the last time around. Which young player is most likely to standout and have a similar impact in this series like Warner, Lyon, Smith, Stokes did last time around. Who is going to impress? Is anyone you think has 'it' in them to make it big, with this series being the pivotal point in their careers? I am

The 2015/16 Warriors and 2017/18 Rockets were arguably two of the greatest teams in NBA history to not win the championship that season.
The 17/18 Houston Rockets finished the regular season with a 67-15 record(Chris Paul missed 24 games). They were 50-5 when Chris Paul,James Harden and Clint Capela played. They also took arguably the greatest team in NBA history to 7 games.
The 15/16 Golden State Warriors finished the regular season with a 73-9 record(best record in NBA history). They were an all time team, but blew a 3-1 lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Every player is healthy for the whole series, and plays like they're in their career's prime (thus far, no hypothetical future primes). 2017-18 rules, Teams get a week of prep.
Notable Celtics: Kyrie, Hayward, Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, Al Horford, Marcus Smart
Notable Grizzlies: Vince Carter, Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley, Tony Allen
I just finished all the 4 books and what else can be said other than it was another promising series that did not live up to its expectations.
I am disappointed, most especially with how things were concluded. So much potential, but all wasted.
βΏββΏββΏ Best of luck to both teams βΏββΏββΏ
Seems like 1 option converts to regular stereo and the other to 5.1 or vice versa.... Running through a Denon x4500h if that matters.
Hey everybody, I'm new to the group and to the offset (and Fender) world so I have what may be a dumb question.
Earlier this week I ordered a New-Old-Stock Daphne Blue HS config Duo-Sonic from Long and McQuade for $579 CAD. The price was super attractive to me because the Player Series HS ones are $899 CAD. Apart from colour, I canβt really see a difference. As far as I can tell they're made of the same materials and have the same measurements and electronics and controls (including a coil-split).
Am I missing something? I really don't get the price difference unless I'm missing some key design or feature difference that justifies the price hike.
If I am missing something, did I make a mistake getting the older year model and should I have gotten the Player Series? (I have a 30-day return window if I change my mind once it arrives)
