A list of puns related to "1981β1982 (EP)"
Damn I am old! I was a senior in high school at the time, and remember watching this game on TV.
When the game kicked off at the old Riverfront Stadium, the official temperature was minus-9 degrees, and there was a whipping wind gusting above 30 MPH that drove the wind-chill factor much lower still!
The Chargers came in to the game off their epic overtime win over the Dolphins in Miami, which had been a balmy 83 degrees, much more to the liking of the So-Cal Super-Chargers.
But in frigid Cincy, Air Coryell's high-flying passing offense, featuring QB Dan Fouts and receivers Wes Chandler, Charlie Joiner and Kellen Winslow - arguably the first of the big passing attack offenses that have since taken over the NFL - was grounded with ice on its wings. Fouts could muster only 185 yards through the air, with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs, in these conditions.
On the other hand, NFL MVP Ken Anderson, operating an early version of the dink-and-dunk offense, was much more efficient. He completed short passes to Dan Ross and Chris Collingsworth for 161 yards, with 2 TDs and 0 INTs, for a splendid 115 PR in the ice.
The game was settled in the second quarter, when Cincy responded to the lone Charger's score, which had closed the gap to 10-7, with a TD run by big Pete Johnson to take a commanding 17-7 lead. The Chargers were basically human icicles in the second half and couldn't muster much of anything as the Bengals scored 10 more points for the final margin.
Cincy was coached by Forrest Gregg, who ironically had played in arguably the most famous cold-weather game in NFL history, the 1967 Ice Bowl between the Packers and Cowboys in Green Bay. Gregg was the winner of that game too, which sent the Packers to their second Super Bowl, and an eventual win over the Oakland Raiders. Maybe his experience with Frozen Tundra helped in this game too.
Anyway, Congratulations Cincinnati!

A Year (or two) In The Life Of Metallica! We started with 2017 and now we go back to the very beginning for this series, in which we examine every year of Metallica in excruciating detail. Since 1981 and 1982 are fairly mellow, we decided to combine the two. We run though James and Lars meeting via The Recycler, Metal Massacre, Ron McGovney, Dave Mustaine, Metallica's first show, the infamous LEOPARD GLOVE, all the demos from Ron's garage, NWBHM, and more! Plus we answer fan emails, talk worldview and philosophy, discuss the insane genius of Billy Corgan and even go back and listen to the very first performance of Rage Against The Machine.

Out of those two consecutive albums, which one you prefer and why?
I prefer Faith, Porno is too bleak and dark. Faith has so much beautiful sadness in it. Also, it really fits my life at the moment
Edit: both albums are great in their ways. Didn't like Faith at all when listened to it first time, now it's my favourite.
I have just discovered these gems and would like to see more movies like these. I'm mostly interested in movies that have good atmosphere and mostly likeable characters. I prefer movies from the 70s to the early 90s. Any suggestions would be appreciated....thanks
I'm not sure if this is allowed but I'm 16 and looking to get my dad the castle greyskull set. I know it's extremely expensive I have over a grand saved to get him something. I was just curious if anyone could point me in a direction to find one. I'm not really sure where to look for stuff like that. I just wanna get him something that's in decent condition. Thanks:)
Just remember, this is for the standard wait list by age, not the AstraZenca-specific sign-up. Also, many people in with birth years in the late 1970s have not received their invite yet. I do not know which vaccine you will be offered.
I downloaded the series over 10 years ago and recently got back to find the episodes I downloaded gone except for the DVDs I made of them around that time. After some time of converting the DVDs to AVIs with Auto GK and finding some episodes on archive.org that included 1 CTV episode and 4 CJOH episodes and downloading the episodes I bought from amazon. I'm wondering since I know (at least with the 1981 season) that there are 3 to 4 different versions of the episodes
+CJOH = 1 hour obvious version
+CTV
+Nick = pre commercial a little longer (from what I hear)
+Nick = Post commercial a little shorter (from what I hear)
Any help in identifying which is which (I'm assuming the amazon versions are the Post commercial nick versions) would be greatly appreciated, thankyou very much.
PS... here are some screen caps for the seasons with their time showing....
