I let my alcoholism go for quite some time because of mommy wine culture.

I thought it was acceptable to bring wine in travel mugs.

I thought it was acceptable to drink wine before school events.

I thought it was acceptable to drink wine every night for the sake of "relaxing" (even though it gave me horrible anxiety the next day)

I thought those shirts and glasses and bags that have those "give mommy wine" sayings were innocent.

Theyre not.

Now, my alcoholism is nobodys responsibility but my OWN, but damn, I just really hate that moms and dads everywhere feel this pressure to dim their childrens childhood with alcohol. Its PERVASIVE. all the ads, the gear, the commercials, etc.

My eyes really opened to it after becoming sober.

Here to remind any parents out there still struggling, you DONT need alcohol to get through your childs childhood. 🖤🖤🖤
