I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

How the hell am I suppose to know when it’s raining in Sweden?
Ants don’t even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
If you found this post by searching, well done. If you were directed to this post, you should've searched first.
Every day there are many, many posts asking the same questions over and over again. In this post I've tried to answer most of those questions.
All of the information below is correct to the best of my knowledge at the time of writing. Software/firmware etc. can change and invalidate some of the information below but I will try to keep the information current as I become aware of changes/inaccuracies.
This post is for EVERYBODY. If you don't have any problems with your Quest, please read through anyway and let me know if you can add/change any of the advice I give below. Also, please redirect people to this post if they ask questions that are answered here.
New users, please read through everything below, even if you don't have any problems currently so you are aware of some of the issues that can arise and take steps before it causes a problem.
If, after reading everything below you still have a problem and you need to ask for help, please use the following guidelines ...
- Search first. I can pretty much guarantee somebody else has had exactly the same problem and found an answer. The answer may not fix the problem, but it may explain why the problem exists.
- Don't say things like "I have a beefy rig" or "I have a powerful pc" or other such nonsense. This doesn't help us solve your problem and most of the time people who say this really don't, and have no idea what they're talking about.
- Tell us your specs. Even if you don't think it's important, tell us your CPU and GPU model. Sometimes the motherboard model can help too so we can check the capabilities.
- Mention if you are using a laptop or PC if you have a problem with a link connection. This makes it much easier to find the solution.
- Tell us what the damn problem is. Don't say "x doesn't work" or "I bought x and it won't work". What doesn't work about it? What DOES work? Has it EVER worked? Did it used to work, then you did something, now it doesn't work? Give us as much information as you can.
Some steps that you can try before asking for help include rebooting your headset, checking your firmware is up-to-date, making sure your controller batteries have enough charge. In most cases, upgrading to Windows 11 and factory-resetting your headset are not valid troubleshooting methods and may cause more problems.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

Ming-Chi Kuo is a famous Taiwanese Apple analyst from TF International Securities, a financial services group in the Asia-Pacific region. Apple also wants to push into the AR/VR space, so they also take a look at the competition, namely Sony with PS VR2 and Meta (Facebook) with Project Cambria. His predictions are often very accurate, since he gathers intelligence from his contacts in the Asian supply chains for these companies. Yujingguang and Goertek will be the Fresnel lens suppliers for PS VR2 and he predicts that it will start shipping in Q2 2022, so in April, May, or June.

Since The Venue @ Hub closed in 2014, Fargo has had a huge hole in concert facilities. If you are unfamiliar, it was in the Avalon building on 25th and had a main level and a mezzanine. Click here for a picture
It was big time for concerts (see list below) and unfortunately with our current facilities, most of these shows are not possible. It's not because they don't want to come here or didn't draw well. No place to put them
At the time the Venue added the mezzanine level, it was the #98 largest club in the nation with a capacity of 2,800. It was a sweet spot for shows and it routinely got Minneapolis shows
We now see less concerts like that because:
- The Fargodome is way too big
- Scheels arena is too big at 6,000
- Bluestem, The Lights and Fargo Brewing, are outdoor facilities, and can only be used in the summer. Plus they can't go late with noise ordinances
- Fargo Theater only holds about 1,000, but no general admission and it has permanent chairs
- The Sanctuary holds around 800.
- The Hall at Fargo Brewing & Aquarium is under 400
How can we get a 3k seat indoor concert facility with a mezzanine level like the Venue had?
The City of Fargo and Fargodome wants to build a convention center attached to the dome. It seems like a good opportunity to turn one end of it into a building similar to The Venue @ The Hub was. It could still be used for convention space and business meetings
Then tear the Fargo Civic down because they let it fall into disrepair and let them build the performing Arts Center there. That building will not be suitable for concerts. It will have permanent seats.
If the goal is to attract concerts, tourist dollars and attract a workforce (people want to live where things are going on), this seems like home run

I’ve been considering upgrading to an index from my quest 2 and I was wondering if it is worth waiting for future headsets like Project Cambria, Apple VR, or the Valve standalone. If they were to release in ~9 months I’d consider waiting but anything more and I would probably just get the index.
