A list of puns related to "Zero Energy Universe"
So if space is infinite, and its impossible to reach absolute zero. Wouldnβt there be infinite energy, because you would need to keep an infinite amount of space above absolute zero
Don't really know what to elaborate on it. If space expands, it keeps pushing stuff apart, creating empty space, vacuum. But we observed even empty space has energy in it, however small. Sooo yeah. That new space that did not exist a moment ago, suddenly exists. In theory, the amount of energy should stay the same in the entire universe, so the new space could only be "filled" from the neigbouring ones.
Yet we don't see massive areas rapidly getting less and less energy dense. So what gives?
IS THERE REALLY FREE ENERGY???? The Short answer is YES!!!
*IS THERE REALLY FREE ENERGY???? The Short answer is YES!!! There is UNLIMITED energy that fills the Universe, Einstein called it the ETHER, Tesla called it "radiant energy" or "the energy of the universe" Others call it Zero Point Energy. This energy, if safely tapped, can supply unlimited energy for mankind to use. If we tap this energy is it free? Well no because it must drain a little if used, BUT if you consider this energy is SO VAST that it does not matter, it's like taking one drop of water out of the ocean, did you remove some water. YES, but its really imperceptible. MANY inventors tapped this energy, Tesla , Moray and others, but they are always suppressed, ridiculed, attacked and worse by the greedy industrialists that want to benefit from energy use and charge you for it. ON the other hand, tapping this energy can be HARMFUL if done incorrectly and there are many EVIL people and groups out there who could and would use it to harm or control others. THIS is the issue that governments all over the world have to wrestle with.* #freeenergy #freepower #freeElectricity #tesla https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf6aizMgn2M
So if (positive) mass-energy produces positive curvature of space, the cosmological constant functions as negative energy giving negative curvature, the universe on the whole is flat (as far as we know) and that is actually the only way that energy is well defined, doesn't that imply that effectively we have a zero-energy universe?
I've heard some people state that if you add up the total energy of all the matter in the universe, and take away the gravitational energy, you find that the universe has zero energy. That's a very simple explanation of course.
Is this idea actually accepted in physics? As I see a lot of mixed responses to the idea. Some agree, whereas some disagree, is there any real answer?
Hi Reddit!
Iβm Chris San Marchi, a hydrogen and metallurgy researcher on a team at Sandia Labs in California studying how hydrogen and materials interact, and developing codes and standards for hydrogen fueling stations and other energy-related uses of gaseous hydrogen.
Hydrogen, in combination with renewable energy (e.g., wind and solar), is being considered as an alternative to fossil fuels as a zero-emission vehicle fuel as well as to reduce carbon in all energy sectors. Fuel cell electric vehicles are available from major automotive manufacturers and complement battery electric vehicles by providing long range (>300 miles) and rapid refueling (3-5 minutes). Hydrogen fuel cell-powered forklifts have replaced more than 10,000 battery units and growing rapidly, while hydrogen fuel cell auxiliary power units keep phone cell towers operational in the event of natural disaster. The potential for hydrogen to reduce carbon emissions in the energy sector is almost limitless. Hydrogen can be used as a fuel much like natural gas (NG) and is easier to produce than synthetic NG from renewable energy sources (such as solar and wind power) making hydrogen an important storage component to renewable portfolio standards. Hydrogen can also replace carbon-intensive processes in industry, such as for heating and steel manufacturing. It may not be the solution to all of our energy challenges, but hydrogen enables a domestically-produced secure and sustainable energy future.
I will be back at 5 pm ET (2 PT) to answer your questions, ask me anything!
Thank you everyone! We appreciate all of the questions. Special thanks to the Sandia team of experts who contributed today: Joe Ronevich, Mark Allendorf, Becky Levinson, Cliff Hansen, and Tony McDaniel. You can catch up with our work on our website (http://crf.sandia.gov/ or http://energy.sandia.gov/transportation-energy/hydrogen/), or follow our updates on twitter (@SandiaLabs).
Thank you all for your responses
Short answer: Planck Temperature (We think)
Long answer: When entropy has past the point of diminishing returns. Unless its made in a lab.
