A list of puns related to "Zenith University College"
Iβm interested to see what other FTM folks are pursuing career and education wise. I know some of us go into trans related fields, others are blue collar and many are artists.
So what are you pursuing?
Personally Iβm studying history with a speciality in global environmental history!
One of the most covered unsolved cases in a college town, the disappearance of Lauren Spierer at Indiana University is still cold 10 years later.
Lauren Spierer was a junior at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, studying apparel merchandising in 2011. A native of Scarsdale, New York, Lauren had a tight group of friends on and off campus. That makes her now-10-year disappearance even more baffling.
Lauren's case has received a lot of media attention since she went missing, including national coverage from the likes of Nancy Grace and People Magazine. But there are still so many unresolved questions from that night, including the biggestβwhere is Lauren?
The day Lauren went missing. On the late evening of June 2nd, 2011, Lauren was seen leaving her apartment with a friend, David Rohn. The two went to another mutual friendβs apartment, Jay Rosenbaum. Lauren, David and Jay had plans to meet up with Jayβs neighbor, Corey Rossman. There were approximately 10 people at Coreyβs apartment with reports of heavy drinking and drug use. By midnight, David heads back to his apartment at Smallwoods Plaza and per surveillance footage, he isnβt seen leaving the apartment again around 11AM the next morning.
By 1:46AM, Lauren goes to Kilroy Sports Bar and is later seen leaving the bar with Corey Rossman by 2:27AM. Lauren leaves behind her shoes at the bar because the bar has a sand- covered patio. After leaving the bar, there is a lot of back and forth from various friends homes before she is last seen:

One of Cambridge Universityβs last all-female colleges is set to introduce fertility seminars to teach women to start planning to have children by their mid-thirties or risk βforgetting to have a babyβ.
Murray Edwards College will teach the classes alongside consent and sexual harassment classes this term, reported The Sunday Times.
He said that women who want more than one child should start trying to conceive before they turn 30. For example, women who want two children should start trying to conceive at the age of 28, while those who want three children βprobably have to start trying when youβre 23β.
βYoung women are being taught that they all have to do well in school, get a degree, be successful in their career, and be beautiful,β she said.
βThe thing that is getting lost along the way is that you forget to have a baby, which I nearly did.β

EDIT: I shouldβve specified made up university, yβall really committed to some colleges, smh. No imagination.

I've heard a lot of people said it's cheaper to go this route, especially in the first two years when you mostly take gen ed classes. So why not many people do it when uni prices are ridiculously high these days?
>Sixers officials told The Athletic that the team had yet to receive any information from its team therapist or Simmonsβ personal specialists that would preclude him from playing or practicing.
>The team fined Simmons for not traveling with the team on its current road trip.
Well, itβs me again. It was great to talk to everyone last time I posted and Iβm so glad thereβs a supportive community out there. I sure need it right now. I feel incredibly overwhelmed - I never realized just how small my world was. Iβve never been further than an hourβs drive from home and now Iβm in another state surrounded by more people than Iβve ever seen in my life. I donβt even know where to start.
Leaving home was pretty rough on its own, to say nothing of the grief my family put me through. I told them that I was going to college a couple weeks in advance of the move-in date. I sort of had to. My boyfriendβs disappearance had thrown my mother into a frenzy. I didnβt tell anyone what I saw in the woods. I told Tyler about the shulikun but not about Krampus.
He thinks itβll be fine in the end. The campground isnβt open during the Christmas season, after all, because no one wants to camp in the snow. Heβs only got his staff to worry about and he doesnβt think the shulikun will actually be drowning anyone. They didnβt carry through with their threat, after all. They might have free run of the campground now, but that puts them under the jurisdiction of the Lady, and Kate had enough bad run-ins with the shulikun while she was human that he doesnβt think sheβll let them get away with much.
He doesnβt think anything that the lake could attract could get away with much. Thereβs an ancient in charge of the campground now, after all.
I hope heβs right. Lakes are dangerous and Kate probably isnβt going to be happy to have to deal with that. She really canβt catch a break, can she, either as a human or as an ancient.
But thatβs not my problem. No, my problem was my family being shitty to me. I blurted it out one evening when mom was in a frenzy about what I was going to do about my future if my ex-boyfriend didnβt come back. So I was like hey, I DO have a plan, Iβm going to college, you donβt need to keep freaking out about me. Ooof, big mistake.
My mom was upset but she was worried and thatβs not quite the same as being mean. It still sucked to deal with. I was already nervous enough about uprooting my whole life and having to reassure my mom on top of it - instead of the other way around - was kind of a lot. I suppose sheβs afraid Iβll go away and not come back like dad did and thatβs traumatizing, but yanno, I lost my dad. Itβs not like
... keep reading on reddit β‘Ready ako ma-downvote para rito. Pero para sainyo ito:
Mapua - Min. 50k per term, 4 terms = 200k per year. Marami nabagsak. Regular student ka kapag dean lister. 6-7 years bago makagraduate friends ko.
UP - Marami ka matutunan, may kupal na profs pero may mga maayos din, libre tuition (4 years + 1 year free tuition) pero mental health mo bayad. Mahirap magenroll ng units. Pero worth it kapag gumraduate ka rito, I swear.
UST - Min. 40k tuition fee per sem (2 sems), okay xmas break nila may break talaga.
Min. 90k per sem +15k other fees (2 sems) so 200k+ per year.
PUP - 12 php per unit (you read that right), pero free tuition for 4 years, UNLESS may 3 subjects ka na bagsak or else good bye free tuition ka na. Pwede online or modular.
PNU - For teachers pero may other courses din. Free tuition dito. EDIT ADD: Meron pala rito bachelors + master agad. 5 years lang.
TUP, RTU, PLM = Apply kayo rito free tuition. Maayos dito. (Edit: Tinanggal ko TIP, private U pala siya. Sorry for the confusion)
TIP - min.
May Happy Thursday sila kasi wala pasok karamihan every Friday.
LPU - Focus nila rito Tourism. Min. 40k per sem (2 sems). May other courses btw!
PWU (Women's U) - tagal na ako grad but according sa friend ko 40k per term sila (3 terms). Okay daw dito and friendly daw mga tao. May lalaki rin dito ah. Mabilis makagraduate rin dito, legit.
PERPS - RUN. Kidding aside, min. 40k per sem (2 sems) so 80k per year.
May dahilan bakit big 4 ang: UP, ADMU, DLSU, UST. I suggest dito kayo mag-apply.
I have never understood why scholarships are offered to student athletes. Especially publicly funded colleges and universities. I do understand the relationship between sport and education and would not object to my tax dollars supporting intramural sport. But, why are my tax dollars supporting athletic scholarships?
Of course one can argue that division 1 sports make money for universities but not all publicly funded colleges are division 1 schools. Nor do all college sports make money for the university. So why do my tax dollars have to support these programs?
I say get rid of college sports other then intramural and use public funds to support research and the education of the best and brightest students who need the assistance.
Edit: linked this article. It is an interesting read.

Another interesting article about football in Michigan. It includes some division 2 schools.

Edit: another good resource

While reading through comments. Some things open for discussion.
Some claim that all athletic scholarships are funded by endowments only. I have seen no evidence that this is true.
Something I truly did not understand is how little some public universities are actually funded by tax dollars. This is true for some, but there is no rule. So if a public university takes no public money, then sure, the taxpayer doesn't fund anything at that university, including sport scholarships. I stand corrected on that point.

Original: I submitted the wrong essay
I was just minding my own business at my house when I got an email from my counselor saying she submitted my transcripts and stuff and I was all set to go. I went to check Common App just to make sure everything was done and was like re-reading my essays because I was bored and everything. For Indiana we had to submit a PDF for the supplementary essay instead of just typing it down in a textbox like most of the Common App schools. So like I download it and click on the PDF and it's a fucking Martha Stewart cookbook PDF, I don't know how the fuck I messed up this bad but I can't ago back and change it. IU was essay optional anyways so hopefully they don't hold it against me, but it would suck getting rejected from one of my safety schools because I submitted a cookbook instead of my supplement essay.
Edit: So quick update: I am going to contact my AO but there is one little issue, I can't find the actual essay I wrote (oopsie). Turns out naming everything "Untitled Document(x)" isn't the best way to stay organized, so for now Martha Stewart cookbook it is.
Update: Martha Stewart cookbook got me into college
IU sent me my acceptance letter last night thought I should give an update. I didn't end up emailing the AOs my actual supplement essay because a) I couldn't find it and b) I was too lazy to write a new one. For anyone wondering the cookbook was called "The Martha Stewart Cookbook: Collected Recipes for Every Day" and honestly some of the recipes in it slap.
Long story short I have the option to go to either St. Joes in Patchogue or St. Johnβs. Iβm trying to make the right decision and itβs so hard ughh. St. Joes gave me a really good scholarship and is a really good school for education (Iβm studying to be a teacher) However St. Johnβs is more known, more diverse, more of a college experience, but lots more money. I feel so torn any help!
Hi everyone, I was accepted to the MSc in Software Development at the University of Glasgow and the MSc in Advanced Computing at King's College. Both programs are the ones I want. Since King's College requires a TOEFL score of 100 (I got 98 on TOEFL), I will have to take the TOEFL test again. Also, King's College tuition is Β£5000 more and Glasgow also gave me Β£10000 scholarship. Studying in Glasgow will be Β£15000 cheaper. When I look at the world university rankings, Glasgow is around 60-70, while King's College is around 35. Do you think it is worth paying that much difference and studying at King's College?
A decent college with an okay ranking (100-150) and almost no prestige or a very good university with a lot of prestige (top 3 in the unites states for my major, that is CS). Which one should I pick? I can't afford the latter and would have to take a minimum $150,000 loan.
EDIT: I have a 60% scholarship at the decent college + financial aid
They wrote on the form that they will NOT be accepting any requests for any schools not already listed. I wish they were just honest that this was just some kind of publicity stunt or a way for them to convince new people to apply based on bogus promises then I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

So in high school, many teachers tell their students about how many college professors don't actually teach their classes, but rather just give assignments and grade them accordingly (that's IF they don't use a blackboard style site that grades automatically). Considering the astronomical costs to attend college in the US, I expect more than just a professor coming into class and staring blankly at their phone for an hour then say "ok so your assignments are posted due X date."
This would not have been as severe of an issue 40+ years ago when school was actually affordable, but given the stakes of today's degree programs, I think professors that follow this do nothing model should be fired. I'm not spending 10k on your class to have to teach myself the subject because you're too lazy and can't be bothered. Teach your class, answer questions, go over practice assignments, give experimental demonstrations and do your damn job.
I am currently a Grade 12 senior high school student who wants to apply for a university/college. My grades were awful during my Grade 10 and Grade 11 years. Siguro my average during these two years were 80 due to my rampant absences. Yes, that's how disastrous it was.
This year, my first quarter average was 90 something so I got included in honors. Yet, I can't help but seem to worry that most universities or college require Grade 9-Grade 11 report cards.
I heard there is usually an entrance exam when applying to a certain university, so hopefully there is a slim chance of me getting admitted to that university, but if it's a system of averaging your JHS years, I feel like I have no hope at all.
Will this affect my chances in applying to a university/college? What universities/college should I apply? Suppose there is an entrance exam, what if I pass the entrance exam but yet disastrous sa report cards?
As the title says, I'm currently enrolled in a university program and I'm on year 2 out of 4, however I also found a 2 year course at a college that I want to attend. Can I do both at the same time?
We know Peter is working on his GED so presumably, he isn't yet done with his education despite the spell. At the same time, it's unlikely he's going to MIT or any high-level college now.
So I think if the next trilogy brings in the idea of college, I think Empire State being a low-level community college could work. "Low-level" is the key here, something low enough and lacking in reputation that it'd be willing to admit Peter.
I think Peter going to a community college is a good way of keeping the character down to Earth and close to home. I love the idea of the next trilogy emphasizing Peter's dynamic with New York and its people, and I think going to a community college would be a good way to do so, as well as a cool way to bring in a new supporting cast for the character.
And I do think it adds a relatability to the character now that students/citizens going to community colleges has become more normalized in the modern-day
Oh my god! I just now got my acceptance letter from UMD. It's my first acceptance which came in after a long season of submitting applications. I know how nerve-wracking this period could be.
Stay strong my queens, good things do happen
I am looking forward to hearing from my ambitious schools in the coming months.
We are all in this together!!!!
Hi everyone, I created this account so I could make this post. I'm currently going to high school on Oahu. Recently, I've been thinking about not going to college. I don't really know which factors need to be taken into consideration when making that decision, what planning would need to be done, and so on. I'm very passionate about natural resource management. Could I realistically move out after I graduate, get a job in that field without a college education, and live comfortably? Perhaps this is either naive or too much to ask for, but my idea of a comfortable lifestyle is being able to read, paddle, and hike. Is this the fanciful dream of a kid who doesn't know enough about the adult world? Thanks to those who respond!
Edit: I elaborate on my current thinking in the responses, sorry for not putting that stuff in the original post
Edit 2: I thought I was gonna get no more than 1 response lol. Not leaving the comments, just wanted to say thanks for everything posted so far
Edit 3: Going to bed early because I have stuff to do in the morning, thanks everyone who responded! There's a lot of really great info in this thread. There are quite a few things I will be looking into. I hope you're all doing well in life. I'll be back tomorrow
