A list of puns related to "Zathura"
(edited) I had no idea where it came from onto my brand new debian 11 bullseye system until I found it was from Virtualbox. The packages listed below show both from the official .deb file and from the official Oracle Virtualbox repository. I'm not an expert so I don't know about all the other packages listed. Any other look strange?
sudo apt install virtualbox-6.1

... keep reading on reddit β‘Jumanji is obviously the more popular movie out of the two, while Zathura is considered a "ripoff", even though both books that were adapted into the movies, were written by the same person. As a slightly spoiled only child, I am often fascinated by the idea of siblings, so I even though the story wasn't original I found both Walter and Danny's personality and development interesting. But as I watched the movie yesterday, It got me thinking that if I enjoy something that is considered medicore at best, would I enjoy something as good that It got 76% fresh score on rottentomatoes? Another thing is that I don't do well with scenes that can leave a mental scar, like the scene with the >!multi-eyed goats!< still haunts me nowadays, but I loved the dinosaur/lizard design of the zorgons. So, based on all of this, would you recommend the Original Jumanji (or event the sequel) to me?
Does anyone else remember this movie, or am I old with parents who had me watch older movies?
I have vague memories throughout my childhood of watching some sort of horror movie or tv show episode right before I would go to sleep. The last time I watched it was in 2013, which I know for sure.
I was always very tired when I watched it, so I'll try to give the information as best I can:
This media had the look of a budget 1990s-early 2000s direct to DVD movie. It might have been a movie, but I think it was a part of a larger TV series. I think it was an episode of something, it lasted at least 40 minutes or so.
I watched it via a dvd, I don't remember what the disc looked like though.
I want to say this was a movie/episode from goosebumps, as on the DVD menu you could select from at least four scenes or episodes, all described with a green font.
The story was about a group of children (or teenagers) who got sucked into a board game at night time. it was incredibly dark most of the time, and there were these dice that would roll inside of a cup like one would find on a Trouble board, where you push down and the dice roll themselves. I believe the characters were shrunken down, as they were much smaller than the dice being rolled.
As mentioned in the title, I know for a fact this wasn't Jumanji or Zathura; I have distinct memories of watching both of these movies on separate occasions.
I know this isn't much to go on, but I'm really curious to hear if anyone else has heard of this!
I am in desperate need of help with this book because at this point Iβm starting to believe it never existed. I cannot remember the title or author, but I could have sworn it was a Goosebumps book. I could also swear that there was a Goosebumps episode about the book but I couldnβt watch it on YouTube at the time due to copyright.
I have tried so hard to research the Goosebumps catalog but have been unsuccessful. So now I believe it may have been written by someone else even though I was 99% sure it was a Goosebumps book.
Anyway these are a few details I can remember about the book, but bear with me as what I remember may not be a lot to go on:
This is about all that I can recall. I remember I got this book from an after school counselor so not much help there, but I think I got the book around 2006-2008. I wish I can be more specific than that but it was years ago and I definitely didnβt have the book after 2008.
Hopefully someone can help me find out what this book is so I can buy it again, because ever since I lost it during a move I constantly think about it.
Hey guys, I'm trying to make a vim-latex live preview setup for writing Math Notes on windows 10. Now, I'm a complete beginner to all of these and dying for 2 days trying to set up this thing to work.
I haven't found a single video regarding setting up vim latex on windows from scratch, while some guides have been helpful others are making me crazy.
Can you guys provide a complete video or a guide to set up Vimtex Latex Zathura for windows 10 from scratch?
I have updated and removed all mentions of wine in the .local/share/mime and removed all mentions of wine in the .config/mimeapps.list
yet wine still steals my PDFs. I keep getting "wine no such file or enviroment exists". I have the mime configured to open pdfs with zathura in my .config/mimeapps.list "application/pdf=org.pwmt.zathura.derktop".
This was working before I installed wine.
SOLVED Go to /usr/share/applications. Remove anything that have mime-types=application/PDF.
Also use arch wiki on removing assoisations for wine with PDF. Some apps for some reason read the /usr instead of .local/usr
I know this is not the best place to ask but anyone here use zathura and know how to navigate to bookmarks as you would with a quickmark?
Selecting any portion of the page always result in Zathura copying a big chunk of text. Is there anyway to make selection more like that of other pdfs readers(like that of a browser)?
Also, how can I stop the little prompt saying "Copied selected text to selection clipboard: ..." from showing when selecting something? I drag the mouse to highlight the text I'm reading but I don't like that every time I stop the small dialogue box appears.
Both are about tabletop games that send you to an inescapble situation unless you beat the game, bringing in the aspects of those tablet games to the real world (the difference being that Jumanji is jungle/ancient-themed and Zathura is space/science-fiction themed).
Is there any relation between the two? Were they made/conceived/written by the same person? Are both movies in the same universe? This question bugged me for years.
I'm using Zathura as a PDF reader, but it's giving me the above error. I've already installed both zathura-mupdf and mupdf, but the error prevails
Edit: In the end, I decided to switch to Sioyek.
I have set up Ubuntu 20.04 on WSL2 on Windows 11. I have installed Zathura pdf viewer on Ubuntu 20.04. I can open up Zathura by simply typing in zathura on the windows start menu without explicitly launching a WSL instance. I would like to set zathura as the default pdf viewer for all of windows (not just when I am within the WSL instance). How do I do that?
Has anyone here had any success using the zathura-markdown-rs package? I have had issues getting this to work and every time I try to read a markdown file using zathura
it simply displays nothing.
When I use Zathura to view epubs (Already installed mupdf plugin), scrolling through chapter view (pressing tab) and clicking on a chapter takes me back to the 1st page. What I mean by that is all links to chapters redirect to page 1, unlike in a pdf.
As a bspwm user, I wanted to write a plugin for nnn that could change the document currently displayed on Zathura without quitting/relaunching it.
The goal is to use DBUS to communicate with Zathura to control it.
The last zathura window is used to refresh its content or a new zathura instance is launched.
#!/bin/bash
FILE=$1
WINDOW=$(xdotool getactivewindow)
get_id () {
ZATHURAID=$( dbus-send --session \
--dest=org.freedesktop.DBus \
--type=method_call \
--print-reply \
/org/freedesktop/DBus \
org.freedesktop.DBus.ListNames | sed -nr '/^.*string "(.*zathura.*)"/{s//\1/p;q;}' )
}
get_id
if [ -z "$ZATHURAID" ]
then
zathura &
while [ -z "$ZATHURAID" ]
do
sleep 0.1
get_id
done
fi
dbus-send --session \
--dest=$ZATHURAID \
--type=method_call \
--print-reply \
/org/pwmt/zathura \
org.pwmt.zathura.CloseDocument >/dev/null
dbus-send --session \
--dest=$ZATHURAID \
--type=method_call \
--print-reply \
/org/pwmt/zathura \
org.pwmt.zathura.OpenDocument \
string:"$FILE" \
string:'' \
int32:1 >/dev/null
xdotool windowactivate $WINDOW
The command xdotool
is used to focus back to the shell that launched/refreshed the zathura window.
If you want you can use this script in pistol
:
application/pdf sh: nextzathura $PWD/%pistol-filename% -
Then use pistol with nnn
.
I like tu view any pdf in fullscreen mode. I edit the zathurarc init file, but don't found a variable to open in fullscreen mode. May a write an alias for option --mode fullscreen: alias zathura=zathura --mode fullscreen
. That's 0K in general, but if the name of the file has white spaces it gime me the error: "Too much commands". :-(
How can I fix it?
Thanks
I've been trying to get smooth scrolling set up on zathura but for some reason adding set smooth-scroll "true" to the zathurarc file doesn't do anything. I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong here or if zathura no longer supports smooth scrolling (as it seems like the 'smooth-scroll' boolean was removed from the man page).
If the latter is the case, is there another pdf viewer which does support smooth scrolling while also being customizable?
