Solo traveller. Visiting CDMX for the first time next week. Want to do Xochimilco but see that most tours offer Xochimilco plus Coyoacan. I plan to do Coyocan but itself! Any ideas on how I can combine La Isla de Las Munecas with the trip to Xochimilco? I read online that only a few trajineras take you to the island and could charge you a lot. Anybody else been to La Isla de Las Munecas? What did you do?
My wife and I have three full days in Mexico City coming up and we are really looking forward to it! We have been researching and have a good idea of what we want to do, but are debating to take time out of the city to visit either Teotihuacan or Xochimilco.
I was reading a travel blog that mentioned that Teotihuacan is currently forbidding access to any interior exhibits and museums as well as not allowing guests to scale the pyramids. As a result, they recommended not making the journey out there at this time. On the other hand, I've seen very mixed reviews about Xochimilco but we conceptually like the idea of getting on a boat and riding through the canals to eat and see the markets. In an ideal world, we would prefer Teotihuacan.
I was hoping to source additional feedback about either of these, particularly within the context of those restrictions. I also haven't come across any restrictions for Xochimilco but please let if it would be a different experience now.

My spouse and I will be in Mexico City the final week of December this year, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations to meet other people, couples, or groups that would be willing to share a boat in Xochimilco. It would be awesome to not have a whole boat just to ourselves. Thanks!
