A list of puns related to "Women Of Colour"
To the first question, was it a deliberate choice or a gradual invasion? How far do you take the accent-colour-takeover, is it 60% of your wardrobe or more like 95%? Do other people see it as a gimmick or as genuinely you?
To the second question, are there any factors that would prevent you from actually making that happen in the real world (aside from the cost of overhauling your entire wardrobe)? Was it an instantaneous choice in deciding which accent colour you'd make yours or did it take you a while? Would choosing to wear a different colour actually change the items you'd wear?
By neutral, I mean anything white, black, grey, navy, beige, army green (arguably) yada yada yada.
Iβve seen a lot of videos (especially fighting videos) where young women lost their wigs. So now Iβm wondering.
During Free Solo's Oscar win speech. Was this necessary?
If there is by any chance a book featuring POC and not about racial struggle, injustice, slavery, infidelity, etc...
I personally am tired of reading books that has these themes and all I want is to enjoy reading fun stories and not be reminded of how difficult it is to be a person of color.
First of all, I am so glad this sub exists now! Don't get me wrong, I am grateful to have found Trufemcels, but I do feel there are certain topics I cannot discuss on the main sub. I'm not black but I am South Asian and I feel like women of colour have a unique set of issues that only they experience and deserve a place where they can be discussed freely.
I wanted to open up a conversation about the title of this post because it's something that I have heard very mixed opinions on. Many femcels are of the opinion that men of their own race don't want them because they are too busy chasing white girls and some have even been treated poorly by men of their own race. Others have found that men of their race respect them more than men of other races and have been treated poorly by men of other races.
I personally have found that Indian men in the West (at least those around my age) often have little interest in dating Indian girls unless they are Stacies. They are, however, perfectly content dating white Beckies or normies. I have found this to be the case regardless of whether or not the Indian man is attractive or not. I think this is because of the way they are spoiled by their families (in desi culture, most families want boys and see girls as a burden) and also because of Indian culture's obsession with fair skin. Needless to say, as an Indian femcel, not one Indian guy has been interested in me in my whole life. I've honestly had more interest from white guys which is surprising. I find that Asian men in general treat me worse than white and black men do.
So whether you are black, South Asian, East Asian, Middle Eastern, Hispanic, mixed race or any other WOC - please share your thoughts and experiences regarding this topic!
I don't want to buy a puffer jacket for god's sake.

I think the world sees us as not quite as good as our white mothers, and not quite as good as our fathers (men are better and white people are better). Also we don't have anyone that understands the oppression squared that we are facing as woman of colour or can look out for us and anticipate obstacles that we will face. (It's basically everything that Kimberle Crenshaw wrote about in her intersectionality paper, basically your father can see all the solutions/problems for the men of colour and your mother can see all the solutions/problems for women but women of colour have often different ADDITIONAL issues and neither solution fixes things for us. e.g. We get things like fetishization and even men of colour don't get. You need a different solution which neither white women nor men of colour will see. (It may seem like I'm complaining about nothing but I think mixed race women could even get fetishized and have no defences against it and end up in prostitution.)
Sometimes you can get different support from different people/places but sometimes you do need someone who understands all your oppressions in the same person to see it together and how the whole thing compounds. The whole is more than the sum of the parts.)
It's like you are considered (and society tells your parents) you are a degraded less good version of your mother and of your father.
Also to be honest it seems every time I see a mixed race black-white woman and her white mother together in public, the mother always looks very well put together and the daughter looks degraded or she obviously doesn't know what to do with her hair and no one cared to help (it's not just the mother, why didn't the father step in and help ? I know usually they don't feel they should have to, women should do most of the parenting. They don't care even if their daughter is facing oppression squared and part of that is due to racism. They don't seem to feel that they should help their daughter with her hair or teach her about being fetishized or look out for her as a woman of colour, they are more high status as men so they should not have to be bothered. And maybe they have black women in their family like their sisters/mother that could have given them some advice, but men don't generally listen to women or look for their advice and help and see themselves in need of education from women. Forget that I've also seen men of co

Hey there everyone, if you guys havenβt read the Aliens: Defiance comic then I would seriously consider doing so! Anyway Iβm here today to ask if anyone would be willing to do some voice acting for the Character of ZULA HENDRICKS from that series. ZULA is colonial marine Nassauβs that has a no bullshit attitude, dedicated, strong, resourceful and looking to constantly prove herself to those around her!
The voice actors can be any one of any creed, however a Women of colour matching Zula description would be perfect for the role. If anyone is interested hit me up in the DMs or in the comment so that I can get in contact with you!
