I went through several thermodynamics lectures on the diesel cycle and taking advice from my prior question I made an spreadsheet to compute the values I needed.
The values V_r,u, and h are derived from equations created through the non-linear regression processed by desmos after entering the values for each table found on pages 934-935 of http://homepages.wmich.edu/~cho/ME432/Appendix1Udated_metric.pdf the pdf is only 30 pages long but is the excerpt from a text book. I limited the max temperature to 2250K since that is as high as the tables go, in theory the functions can extrapolate higher but I'm unsure of the accuracy. I attached the function error images. When I put in the compression ratio is entered, I get a wnet way below what I calculated based on engine power and rpm. Am I missing a step somewhere?
