The (wishful) Return of Wigstock

Let's be real, how fucking awesome would this be. Ru offered a comment in his AMA a few months ago regarding if the drag festival even could come back, stating "I believe Wigstock could happen, now. But you know, that window of opportunity is relatively short."

So what do we think? Could Wigstock work again? Would Bunny be interested? A good opportunity for the RPDR stars and other drag icons to shine together? Because I know I'd drop some cash to fly to NYC for this.

Why did Wigstock stop?

I just watched Wigstock for the first time, and I was remembering a FoF podcast with Lady Bunny in which she said that people are always asking her to bring back Wigstock, but she thinks that times have changed and this isn't the time for it. Why does she think that? Does it have something to do with the PC police, which is what the original interview was about?

Wigstock The Movie

Hello granny gurls! If you haven't seen this movie/documentary, gurl, you should. Definite part of Drag Herstory. Great performances by drag legends like Ru, Lady Bunny, Joey Arias, Mistress Formika, Jackie Beat, Girlina, Coco Peru, etc. etc. etc.... The general message being "have fun and don't be an asshole". Don't get me wrong, I've been a RPDR fan since S1 and lurve the show... but I wish there was more of that Wigstock spirit to it.
