The Portland creative community suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of David Kennedy. As a co-founder of Wieden + Kennedy he helped usher in a new age in creative expression, working with Nike and other iconic businesses in our region. His influence has had a profound impact on generations of talent, inspiring excellence in innovation while elevating Portland's status as a creative community.

After a tumultuous review throughout the year, Ford recently made the decision to move it's creative away from WPP's Global Team Blue. Which, up until now has managed Ford's advertising business through various iterations of it's agency (Team Detroit, JWT) for last 90+ years. It operates out of Dearborn.
As part of the review, in August, Ford announced it would be giving W+K an assignment using their Fall ad dollars to develop new brand creative (not something directly meant to sell cars). Ford is going through a transformative restructuring and needs some help getting their image to reflect that new vision.
Today, we get the first look at what that is, in 2 spots (one :60 and a :30) developed by the Portland agency to help shape the new future for Ford. I tend to be a fan of W+K's work and this assignment is no exception. Also, Cranston seems like a natural fit. The ads are viewable here from Adweek.
