Escuelita del Alma has been in the same spot since 2008. They originally started serving the Austin community in 2000. They are one of the best, if not the best, dual language Spanish and English daycare centers in the city. They have years long wait lists, yet they still provide comparatively affordable rates to help ensure access from families with different income levels.
When the Days Inn next door was established as a temporary facility for Covid, we accepted that it was necessary, but it’s been a nightmare. I’ve personally seen a homeless person hop in the car of a family who had just picked up their little one, scaring everyone involved. I’ve seen the normal belligerence and mental health issues of the Days Inn occupants, but I had always assumed the hotel would open back up and this was temporary. Over the weekend, it was reported that it will transition to permanent homeless housing, and the daycare wasn’t even notified, just like what happened with the Covid decision.
I get it. NIMBY. But seriously could they not have done a better job of helping ensure the safety of the daycare directly next door? There is now talk of extra safety protocols and investment that the school will have to raise to ensure the safety of parents, students, teachers, and facility managers. There’s been multiple events with nude adults walking through the parking lot. There’s been threats from people holding knives. Theres been piss and shit around the campus that has to be continually picked up, primarily to ensure curious kids don’t touch. There’s been no assistance offered to help the daycare. So here we are, a daycare serving a minority population and that has been serving the Austin community for two decades, overlooked and discounted.
What the hell is going on and who is making these ill-informed decisions?

Can anyone please find me the article about a guy who owned a company which had smth like 4million float. He saw his company being naked shorted into the ground untill 1 share fell to smth like 0,0007cents and decided to buy every single share(entire float). Then on the next day, while owning the entire float of a company he saw about 40million shares exchange hands. ? Thx in advance apes 🚀🚀🚀

Hi, so I have something I need to get off my chest about because my patience is running thin :-)
It started last year with Dynamite, which it might be an unpopular opinion here, but I loved that song since the first listen. I can see why people would dislike it, but I honestly didn’t. Same with Butter this year. They’re catchy pop songs, that’s why they’re easily digested and liked in the first place. Like, I genuinely don’t see why some people take it as a personal offense if you say they’re good? Music taste is subjective as hell, if someone thinks Dynamite and Butter are the best songs ever, that should be valid, right?
Wrong! And some people WILL make sure to give you a piece of their mind.
The thing is, I’ve gotten a variety of comments that go from “The grip BTS has on y’all should be a case study, cause how you eating up whatever mediocrity they put out” to “I’m an ex-ARMY myself, but Dynamite and Butter are just Not It, those lyrics are cringy and let’s not talk about the autotune. I used to be in your place, you know? It’s ok to admit a song is terrible, even BTS knows it was all for the Grammys clout” for saying that I, indeed, like both songs and that (especially Dynamite) they aren’t nearly as controversial as some people make them out to be.
It’s frustrating because if I say anything in my defense, they act all condescending like I don’t have my own opinions. And if I call their attitude out, they paint me as “another toxic armerie who can’t take criticism”?? LIKE HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSEEEE&:/);;77;
Is it really that hard to accept there are different tastes out there? What’s with the attitude? If you think Dynamite and Butter are signs of the upcoming apocalypse, that’s fine, it’s your opinion! But that’s not an universal agreement, let’s not pretend it is (?) If I hadn’t liked them, best believe no amount of external pressure or “emotional attachment” would’ve forced me to. Maybe some fans are like that, but not me. I happened to not like ON last year, and so I just skipped to the next track and moved on with my life. See? Easy peasy! No brainwashing, no BTS holding me hostage in HYBE’s basement. Nothing. Nada. Life went on.
So yeah, to the next person that feels the personal mission to insult my judgement and treat me like I’m dumb for liking Dynamite, Butter and/or BTS’ new music in general: I kindly suggest you fucking don’t <3
