Thereβs a lot of these birds in parks near where I live, which is in Sofia, Bulgaria. I was unable to take a photo of them so I googled βbrow blue black birdβ and images of the exact same birds with the exact same patterns came up. And I decided to ask if anyone knows what bird this is.

What bird is this and why is it doing this? I live in Central Virginia and last night at sunset all these birds were swarming around this defunct smoke stack. They dove in and out of it. I don't know a lot about bird behavior, but this was hard to tear my eyes away from.

Pigeon fledgling - It's 43Β°c (109Β°F) out today. This little pidgeon left the nest today but I haven't seen him fly, he's just walking. There is a second chick still in the nest. What should I do? I put out a shallow bowl of water (there is a bird bath but I'm concerned he can't reach it). [Pic]
(Apologies for the typo)
Species: pigeon
Age: fledgling (?)
Sex/neuter status: no
Breed: wild
Body weight: unknown
History: unknown
Clinical signs: appears to have wing feathers and tail feathers, fluffy on chest. Beak open a lot (I see birds do this in the heat?), doesn't seem to be flying and is walking in the shade
Duration: unknown
General location: Australia
The pigeon on the ground
Pigeons in the nest this morning
I am very experienced with cats and dogs but completely ignorant about birds. Is he going to be ok? Is he too small - should I return him to the nest?
Update: After a few hours the little guy managed to fly up onto the bins and then eventually over the fence and into the neighbour's garden. The mama bird came to feed the remaining chick in the nest and I saw her with the fledgling in the neighbour's garden shortly after. I think the little guy will be alright! Thanks for putting my mind at ease. I've been watching these gorgeous birds grow and was so worried about them in this horrible heat

What is a T-bird exactly?
I'm digging for inspiration to let the players in my Seattle-based campaign explore a bit more of North America, so naturally I'm reading about smuggling runs and reading some smuggling-related scenarios. Many of these mention T-birds as a popular smuggler vehicle. In fact, I got>! Dawn of he Artifacts: Midnight!< for this reason, and they use T-birds to >!cross most of North America!<.
But what is a T-bird? As far as I can find, the GMC Banshee is the most typical example of one. They're vectored thrust (or maybe GEV, according to some internet posts?), apparently supersonic, fly very close to the ground to avoid detection, and apparently are extreme fuel hogs, giving them a very short range.
So why does >!DotA: Midnight use them for long trips!<? It sounds to me like long trips would get extremely tedious in a T-bird and an actual plane would quickly overtake one with all those stops. Or do they have longer range? Sadly I can't find an actual official definition of a T-bird anywhere except for "GMC Banshee is one".
