Royal Volpone Bluebloods

Nearing the end of my Tanith First and Only build and between the Vitrian Dragoons and Bluebloods thinking the later might be easier as I hate doing scales as I learned with Alpha Legion to add in a squad of Scions.

I've looked through the 3rd party sites and the AoS line and while I only really need one this ornate and fancy the normal Scion don't cut it. The units are described as heavy assault infantry and obscenely equipped with highest quality and fancy war gear so figured this may be a real fun build and will contrast nicely with my ragamuffin Ghosts.

So any ideas on where to find some suitable knight-esque looking armor that would find Guard minis?

Eisenhorn reprints without end. A Horus Heresy anthology called 'The Successors' (it's got Fehervari in it!). Some AoS stuff.

Just worth noting here: it's great to see Fehervari going from getting his books slapped around and absolutely no advertising to literally being in the top three billing on the cover of this latest anthology. Vindication!

John French writing Sigismund: The Eternal Crusader, which sounds pretty neat.

E: Eternal Crusader is going to be a 'short biography' about Siggy, pivotal moments up until the end of the Great Crusade. Framed as a Remembrancer going to have an interview with the man himself and why he believes there will be 'only war' (remember that one line in Horus Rising? French does!)

E2: French says the book will talk about Sigismund having a bond with the World Eaters, how he's a Terran native (his early life), 'I want to show him being made a Space Marine - taken, assessed, what if he'd gone to a different Legion?'

I like the lore for these guys and was wondering if you guys had some book suggestions?

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

There's a little bit of a dry spell in 40k stuff at the moment so out of curiosity, do we have any idea what the authors are working on at the moment? Obviously a lot of this is going to be (likely incorrect) guesswork but have some vague predictions from me, feel free to correct me or put in your own suggestions:

• Dan Abnett - Siege of Terra book 8. The Vincula Insurgency for Gaunt's Ghosts.
• Aaron Dembski-Bowden - Siege of Terra book 7. Finishing Black Legion 3 (indicated that progress is good). Spear of the Emperor 2 after that.
• Chris Wraight - Fuck knows, this man has his fingers in so many pies. Vaults of Terra 3 or Watchers of the Throne 3 seem likely. He said recently that he'd love to write the DG again but he has a few other projects on his plate which likely rules out Lords of Silence 2 or the Mortarion primarch novel. He's also changed his profile picture on twitter to the Blood Angels logo which might be a hint.
• Guy Haley - genuinely have no idea. He stated he had finished up a project in late October and it was heading onto rewrites and edits so I'd imagine we'll find out pretty soon. Was pretty hush hush about the nature of it.
• Mike Brooks - he just put out another Ork short story and I'd be amazed if he didn't move onto another full-length novel for them. Though he has done primarch books in the past.
• Nate Crowley - Twice Dead King 2 if it's not done already.
• Gav Thorpe - Genuinely have no idea. He just finished up the Wolftime so I'd imagine it'll be quite a bit (i.e 3 months given the absurd productivity rate of BL authors) before we get anything substantial from him.
• Nick Kyme - Volpone Glory, unless it's already completely finished.
• James Swallow - I'd put money on him either getting the Mortarion or Sanguinius primarch novels.
• Graham McNeill - Is he due another mainline book? Perhaps the next Dawn of Fire.
• John French - He'll almost certainly get the Dorn primarch novel but perhaps another mainline book in the meantime.

Couldn't really guess the rest i.e Stearns, Harrison, Clark, Fehervari, French etc either due to lack of personal knowledge or them having unpredictable writing schedules/topics.

Given that we have 4 primarch novels left to go in Sanguinius, Mortarion, Dorn and Horus, I'd imagine some authors would be assigned to them. The Siege is nearly wrapped up and at most the primarch novels will release soon after them if they rely on Siege specific information.

But yeah, mostly have no id

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
