[ 20/F] For years I’ve had pain with pelvic exams. Almost 2 months ago I began using a vaginal medicinal suppository to cure an infection. I’ve been having to use the medication this long because inserting it is painful & I never know if I’m far enough inside—I’ll think I’m in far enough, painfully push the pill in but 20 min later there’s burning (a sign it was not in far enough). I say that to say, if I use my finger to slowly push inside it’s uncomfortable but not necessary painful, just feels very bony & narrow. But if I use a suppository it’s a sharp pinching, stinging burning feeling. Since I can get my finger inside with only mild pain I’m thinking maybe my vaginal canal is simply just narrow (vaginal stenosis) instead of my pelvic floors contracting involuntarily (vaginismus) ?
It's hard, but Im resilient and theirs opinions. I hope this can shed light on different lived experience.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

When you think Female Genital Mutilation, you get a nasty hit in your gut because of the suffering that was inflicted on a child for reasons that will make any normal person livid beyond measure. I wonder where that visceral reaction is to Male Genital Mutilation of infant boys? Is the word "circumcision" enough to soften the blow that much?
Disregarding truly medical circumcision procedures for both male and female cases that need it, some people think FGM is not comparable at all to MGM and most of them don't even know about less invasive forms of FGM being a ritual prick with a needle to draw a drop of blood. This is rightfully labeled a mutilation, yet the complete removal of so much prepuce tissue is considered a minor surgery for infants who somehow can get through it easier than adults with all the medicine and safety nets their grown body can take.
The hygiene origin myth is another way to legitimize MGM, even though it is also used to promote FGM as well. You don't cut up genitals to keep them clean somehow, you cut up genitals to alter, affect, and adverse use of the genitals and the sexuality of it's owner.

An unpopular aspect of circumcision/MGM will be that it is genital alteration without informed consent.
Adults can get full anesthesia and can request the exact amount of tissue to be removed from their developed penis. The doctor is shooting in the dark for how much tissue to remove from an infant penis he has no clue how it will develop later on. Infants would be under pain from the bare minimum anesthesia and the open wound that is burning from urine and risking infection from feces inside the diaper. Regardless, the exposed urethra will be taking in contaminants and likely suffer meatal stenosis.
If you keep your son intact, and he does grow up to have insufficient self-esteem and succumbs to a genital cutting society’s circumcision views, he can always get it removed. If you circumcise him, and he realizes he lost his ridged band and possibly his frenulum, he can’t ever get his foreskin back, until r/Foregen makes it happen. His body is his and his only to cosmetically alter when he is able to consent as an adult.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

So as a baby I needed corrective surgery which involved a vaginoplasty, clitoroplasty etc. Turns out this is a really f-cked up surgery to do on a baby and it should be left till teen/young adult ages. Anyway I've been left with quite bad scarring and stenosis of the vaginal opening so I can't have penetrative sex. Anyway I've been left with no labia and just a hole essentially. I'm just wondering if there's such thing as a reverse Labiaplasty? To get labia haha thanks :)
