Thinking about picking this one up during the sale - want to speed the grind a bit and she looks good on paper.

Should I get Uss Helena or other ships.
I don’t know what would be better to get. I’m either gonna get the USS Helena or I can get from the Uss Somers up to the Cleveland. I know I’m like one of three people who somewhat care about naval but if anyone has any advice just say something. (Also I want something that has good anti air protection.)

My great uncle Maurice Kleckner and his younger brother either when he was on survivor’s leave or right after the war was over. He was aboard the USS Helena when the Japanese had sunk the cruiser on July 6th, 1943. Maurice was also a survivor of Pearl Harbor.
Despite supposedly having the same hull armor as the Helena and the Brooklyn, the USS Cleveland does not have its 16mms of anti frag armor modeled.

Finally, an S rated USN cruiser - USS Helena
Well, my reaction to this update has certainly changed after diving into Helena. Finally, at long last, a USN cruiser that I would give an S rating to. Helena is so good I don't have the words. Today I slugged it out broadside with Gneisenau doing 10K+ full salvo rounds to it each broadside. And since I get three reloads to his one I was left standing when he went below the waves. The ability to switch between high HE fire-starting mode like Belfast and turn into an AP spewing cannon like Edinburgh makes this ship positively fearsome and a DPS monster. Her shell arcs are amazing. You can be tight on islands and still loop them over onto your targets. Once you get used to the moon shots you should have no problem hitting targets at range. You have sonar and planes making Helena a solid DD hunter. Like anything else, if a DD gets hit with your broadside they are going to melt. I think a Helena/Belfast division is something to cower from. 5 games in and I absolutely love this ship - and it's stock!
Commander layout - Scott with Follow the Sun (a must since Helena does have a shorter range than other T6 ships and Yamamoto to make sure you penetrate CLs and BBs with AP. Other options would be increased speed or concealment if you want to risk your AP not tearing up ships - but you're a glass cannon I say play to your strengths.
Negatives - She's a bit ponderous on the turns. I'm going to wait to see how she feels with the upgraded hull until deciding whether I want the steering or propulsion mods. And being a light CL you can't take many hits. No heal/smoke. These balance out the extraordinary offensive firepower Helena can lay down.

How will those 3 premiums perform when new update hits? Will they become obsolete? Or would they do still good against BB? Which one is best, and can you explain why?
