University Of Pisa Puns

Hi there (sorry for English) I'm from New Zealand and will be doing a 6 week exchange in July this year. I'm looking to get in touch with other medical students (facebook has let me down this time!) and am posting in vain that one or two might be on here?

Many tourist attractions fill you with awe when you see them, make you amazed when you witness them in person. The leaning tower of Pisa is not one of these. It's an overrated stack of stone leaning at a slight acute angle. The most amazing thing about it is watching the flood of people all leaning into air around it for pictures.

Many things have historical significance. A tourist attraction needs to both look amazing and have some historical or cultural significance. Its amazement comes from the fact it leans, which in person it barely looks to be leaning.

Yea, I just don't think it should be placed in the same category as things that are actually visually impressive and significant.

My country, Estonia, placed 2nd (after Singapore) and 1st in Europe on this year’s PISA test. I think, this is due to our modern school system which focuses a lot on entrepreneurship, our experienced and sophisticated teachers and education being a valued good in Estonian culture even though education expenditure in Estonia is way smaller than in other European countries.

The problems of our education system is that it is quite divided in Estonian language schools (87% of all schools) and Russian language schools (13% of all schools) and eventhough the Russian schools still do way better than the OECD average, they’re doing worse than the Estonian schools. They are also criticized for their insufficient teaching of the Estonian language. Another con is that even though not being terrible the satisfaction of Estonian students isn’t very great either.

All in all I’m quite satisfied with the Estonian education system and I’m confident that we’ll also overcome the few problems we have.

I am a traveling photographer and specialize in destination wedding photography. I am away from home around 300 days of the year and travel all over the world. Though I try to fill my time between assignments with reading, editing, and playing games like pokemon go, I do get bored/lonely and want to meet people/explore more than I have been doing. I have offered free sessions before and had a great time doing them for people who otherwise would not have had photos taken, so it is something I really enjoy and would like to keep up so long as I am traveling this way.

This month, I will be in NYC, Connecticut and Boston. I am currently near Pisa in Italy for the next few days.

I can only accept one or two sessions in each place I go. I may have a concept but am also game to try any you may have. You’d receive around 5 edited digital files, probably more.
