Following the failure of the West African Federation and the immense genocide in its wake, the dream of a Africa united died with it.
However, recently in Somalia, several Pan-Africanists across party lines have held a congress in Somalia in a bid to regain public support widely ignored and even scorned in cases, the movement had previously dissolved.
What has came of the congress was a call for a looser African Confederation with the OAU comprising the government body and a common market.
While it has still come under fire, the movement has seen surprisingly some highly limited public support, with many arguing such a confederation would be incapable of carrying out the atrocities of the West African Federation, and would still strengthen the African states against foreign encroachment.
But for now the dream of pan-africa is just a dreamβ¦

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

On the 26th of November, The Empire of Varkonia and The Free Republic of Gabon signed the new (and improved) UNC Charter with this being approved by their respective governments on the 30th of November.
These two nations have been joined by
- The Kingdom of Thoria
- The City of England
- The Kingdom of Kaltsburg
and hopefully many more to come!
The United Northern Congress shall endeavor to continue on the great work of the previous alliance iteration - through our wonderful infographics, maps, posters, and to work towards public works and expanding infrastructure for the betterment of not just our alliance but for the civ community as a whole.
We shall strive to remain neutral where soft diplomacy can resolve issues or conflict and to put our foot down on unwanted external meddling that may concern our alliance bloc.
The UNC shall continue on the tradition of welcoming any and all like-minded nations into our arms.
