A list of puns related to "Townpeople"
Every day I get mail about a towns member having a "hanker" for an item. When I try and give the item to them, they say something like "I don't need this"
I know I'm doing it right because sometimes they take the item. Is there something else I need to do?
I love making hideouts but thematically it becomes hard to create small villages, cities and communities because the pool of living NPCs is so low. We basically just have some exiles and Oriathans to my knowledge.
If I'm to recreate Tristram from Diablo, or create a Blackguard stronghold, or a small village with a blacksmith, tailor etc. I need more to work with.
GGG has done an amaaaaazing job on Hideouts lately so just dropping this suggestion here in hopes it might get added.
Quite a long time ago, but really fun from what I remember. Essentially the premise is that happiness is almost gone from the world and the setting is in different medieval towns where the residents want different things (love, wealth, health, etc). You are some kind of other being that can fulfill their wishes by aiming different of the things they want towards the people walking around with specific thought bubbles w the icons of what they want. You need a certain amount in order to make the town happy and thus increase the general joy in the world.

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
So far nobody has given me a straight answer

Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.
I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.
When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."
From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"
Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards, kind strangers! I'll let my son know y'all enjoyed his joke too!

Looking for some advice from experienced DMs, in case this is a terrible idea.
My group will be starting the campaign next week. They haven't really given me much in terms of party motivation. I suspect they will be a party only vaguely at the start of the session.
To motivate them, I want to throw them into the thick of things, starting them in Bryn Shander on sacrifice night. Someone else will be selected, and I will showcase just how desperate the situation is, with the townpeople (including Duvessa) at the breaking point.
Preferably, they don't try to interfere with the sacrifice, and the campaign starts as normal. Just with an understanding that staying in town is not exactly a safe, sustainable option for their characters.
If they do try, they are level 1. A few veterans from the town militia would just stomp them and arrest them. Then I'm thinking of Duvessa offering them a "dirty dozen" sort of deal, starting the campaign as her agents.
Just how badly do you think this will backfire?
A buck-an-ear!
I Thank ye kind Matey for the booty! I be truly overwhelmed! Thank you!
Holy cow! Thank you everyone for the upvotes and awards! I wasnβt expecting this!
